The anti suck back centering (ASBC) for preventing backflow of oil for oil rotary pump was designed in the power failure. To evaluate the evacuation characteristics, we manufactured the mini vacuum system, personal computer, AD converter (National instrument, NI-6009), and automatic controller with touch panel for a basis. In this study, we measured the evacuation characteristics of ABSC and analyzed the flow field of viscous flow regime using a commercial software, CFD-ACE+. Also, the leakage of the advaced ASBC for leveling was measured.

Visualization of the gene expression data on a low-dimensional graph is helpful in uncovering biological information contained in the data. In this study, we focus on two modified versions of the parallel coordinate plot. First one is the ePCP(enhanced parallel coordinate plot) which shows "near smooth" connecting curves between axes spaced proportionately to the proximity of re-ordered variables. Second one is APCP(Andrews' type parallel coordinate plot) which is obtained by rotating Andrews' plot that has a form of the parallel coordinate plot. Visualization procdures using ePCP and APCP are given for the lymphoma data case.

We introduce multivariate exponential smoothing models based on a vector innovations structural time series framework. The models enable us to exploit potential inter-series dependencies to improve the fit and forecasts of multivariate (vector) time series. Models are applied to forecast the exchange rates of the UK pound (UKP) and US dollar (USD) against the Korean won (KRW) observed on monthly basis; subseqently, we compare their performance with alternative models. We observe that the multivariate exponential smoothing models are superior to alternatives.

To validate the physiological properties of the histamine receptors of ileal smooth muscle in dog, the effects of adrenergic-, cholineric-, and H-receptor antagonists on the responses of ileal smooth muscle strips to histamine were investigated. The results were summarized as follows; 1. Histamine caused the contraction of ileal smooth muscle and the contractile responses were increased between the concentration of histamine $10^{-7}M$ and $10^{-5}M$ with dose-dependent manner in dog. 2. The shorter the treatment interval of histamine, the lower the contractile activity until the treatment interval extended to 40 minutes. 3. The contractile response induced by histamine was completely blocked by the pre treatment with a $H_1$-receptor blocker, chlorpheniramine and not by the pretreatment with a $H_2$-receptor blockers cimetidine. 4. The contractile response induced by histamine was not blocked by the pretreatment with a cholinergic receptor blocker, atropine. 5. The contractile response induced by histamine was not blocked by the pretreatment with an ${\alpha}$-adrenergic receptor blocker, phenoxybenzamine, or a ${\beta}$-adrenergic receptor blocker, propranolol. From these results, it was suggested that the contraction induced by histamine was elicited through $H_1$-receptor on the ileal smooth muscle in dog.

혈관근육지방종은 지방, 평활근, 두꺼운 벽의 혈관이 다양한 비율로 구성된 흔하지 않은 과오종이며, 이는 결정 경화증을 동반하거나 산발적으로 발생한다. 저자들은 혈관근육지방종이 드물게 발생하는 두경부에서 발생한 귓바퀴 1예, 구개점막 2예의 혈관근육지방종을 보고하고자 한다. 병리소견상, 3예 모두에서 성숙지방조직, 불규칙한 혈관, 그리고 HMB-45와 Melan-A에 음성을 보이는 평활근육세포로 이루어진 조직소견을 보였으며, 여러군데에서 림프구 침윤이 3예 모두에서 관찰되었다. 점막피부 혈관근육지방종으로 진단하였다. 세증례 모두 결절경화증은 동반되지 않았다. 점막피부 혈관근육지방종에서는 혈관주변세포가 HMB-45와 Melan-A에서 음성을 보였으며, 이는 간이나 신장의 혈관근육지방종에서의 특징적인 양성반응과는 다른 점이었다. 간이나 신장에서 생긴 혈관근육지방종과 다른 임상병리적 특징을 비교 기술하고자 두경부에서 발생한 점막피부 혈관근육지방종 3예를 보고한다.

To elucidate the action of the cholinergic and ${\alpha}_2$-adrenergic nerve on the isolated ileal smooth muscle of the dog, effect a of electrical field stimulation were investigated on the pretreatment of the physostigmine; cholinestrase inhibitor, yohimbine; ${\alpha}_2$-adrenoceptor blocker, atropine ; cholinergic receptor blocker and phentolamine; non-selective $\alpha$-adrenoceptor blocker from physiograph. 1. The contractile response induced by electrical field stimulation was the frequency (2-40 Hz)-dependent manner. 2. The contractile response induced by electrical field stimulation was markedly increased by the pretreatment of physostigmine$(1{\mu}M)$; cholinestrase inhibitor. 3. The contractile response induced by electrical field stimulation was increased by the pretreatment of yohimbine$(1{\mu}M)$; ${\alpha}_2$-adrenoceptor blocker. These finding suggest that it was powerful excitatory action by cholinergic nerve and inhibitory action by ${\alpha}_2$-adrenergic nerve on ileal smooth muscle of the dog.

This paper develops theoretical model between economic growth and pollution as follows: First, emissions are generated from final good production process and technology accumulation. Second, pollution is directly connected with increase in final good production or in consumption, Third, no pollution abatement activity would be undertaken. Fourth, reproducible factors associated with labor and capital input are used in production function. We also test the existence of nonlinear Dynamics between economic growth and pollution using an exponential smooth transition autoregressive model(ESTAR). We find the presence of nonlinear dynamics between economic growth and pollution with a time series data for Seoul. This result shows indirectly that an inverted U relationship between air pollution and economic growth exists.

We study nonlinearities of $CO_2$ emissions and economic growth m Korea using the Smooth Transition Autoregressive (or STAR) model. We find evidence for nonlinearities and cyclical regime changes of both time series. In the extended nonlinear empirical work, we characterize dynamic properties of the two time series and then find mutually significant Granger causality between $CO_2$ emissions and economic growth. All these empirical evidences together reinforce long standing concern that economy-wide restrictions on $CO_2$ emissions would hurt economic growth for Korean styled medium industrialized countries.

This study was aimed to investigate the effect Chukdamtanggamibang on the vascular systems including changes in blood pressure and regional cerebral blood flow(rCBF) of male Sprague-Dawely rats, contractile force of guinea pig`s tracheal smooth muscle and abdominal aorta and femoral artery in rabbits. Blood pressure was not affected by Chukdamtanggamibang in rats. rCBF was significantly increased by Chukdamtanggamibang in a dose-dependent manner. Contractile force of isolated guinea pig`s tracheal smooth muscle evoked by His ({TEX}$ED_{50}${/TEX}) were inhibited significantly by Chukdamtanggamibang. Propranolol, indomethacin and methylene blue did not significantly alter the inhibitory effect of Chukdamtanggamibang. Contractile force of isolated rabbit`s abdominal aorta and femoral artery evoked by NE ({TEX}$ED_{50}${/TEX}) were inhibited significantly by Chukdamtanggamibang. ODQ and L-NNA significantly attenuated the inhibitory effects of Chukdamtanggamibang in abdominal aorta, whereas propranolol did not significantly alter the inhibitory effect of Chukdamtanggamibang. These results indicate that Chukdamtanggamibang can relax hitamine-induced contraction of guinea pig`s tracheal smooth muscle and that this inhibition involves, in part, the relation to the soluble guanylyl cyclase synthesis and nitric oxide (NO) synthesis.

The Laplacian operator is usually used as a regularization operator which may be used as any differential operator in the regularization iterative processing. In this paper, several kinds of differential operator and proposed operator as a regularization operator were compared with each other performance. For noisy gaussian-blurred images, proposed operator worked better in the edge, while in flat region the conventional operator resulted better. In regularization, smoothing the noise and restoring the edges should be considered at the same time, so the regions divided into the flat, the middle, and the detailed, which were processed in separate and compared.
