The Characteristics and Optical Implementation of OA-pSDF BPOF (OA-pSDF BPOF의 특성 및 광학적 구현)

  • In this paper, an coherent optical correlator system based on the off-axis projection synthetic discriminant funtion (OA-pSDF) was analyzed and implemented optically. The filter was synthesized by combining conventional pSDF with single reference plane wave multiplexing. Synthesized pSDF were transformed to binary phase only filters (BPOFs) and fabricated as computer generated holograms(CGHs), which was used in the real time optical correlator system instead of using expensive spatial light modulators(SLMs). From the characteristic test, it was found that OA-pSDF showed distortion invariance and good performances in discrminating subset images. The proposed OA-pSDF BPOF could overcome the limitations of conventional BPOFs : that is distortion variance such as acale and rotation, especially out of plane variance.

  • The equations are derived for the evaluation of the axial contact force. The contact forces for rubber seals are analyzed as a function of the ratio of real contact length, the thickness of seal lip, the inclined angle of seal lip, and the interference between the edge of seal lip and the rotating inner ring. The design data for rubber seals are presented in terms of the ratio of real contact length, initial inclined lip angle, lip thickness and the interference. The calculated results show that the deflected interference and the circumferential stress cause considerable change of contcat forces for the low sealed pressure.

Estimation and Experimental Verification of Grinding Wheel Wear in Surface Grinding Process (평면 연삭에서의 연삭 숫돌 마모 추정 및 실험적 검증)

  • This paper deals with the theoretical estimation and its experimental verification of grinding wheel wear in surface grinding process. A theoretical formulation is provided to predict the grinding wheel wear in surface grinding. To validate the theoretical prediction, the grinding wheel wear is measured by using a laser scanning micrometer. The associated surface roughness and grinding farce are also investigated both theoretically and experimentally. Through a series of simulations and experiments, it is shown that the predictions are in good agreement with the experimental results.

  • The forced vibration analysis of the outer-clamped spinnig annular disk with arbitrary in-plane is formulated to investigate the influence of non-uniform tension on the cutting accuracy of wafer cutting machine. The arbitrary in-plan force along the outer edge of an annular plate is expressed as a Fourier series. Galerkin method and modal superposition method are employed to obtain the forced responses under the static force and the impulse force in astationary coordinate. Through qualitative and quantitative analyses, it can be found that forced and impulse responses are sensitive to the non-uniformity of in-plane force, which can bring a bad effect to the accuracy of wafer cutting process. Also, in case of a spinning disk with non-uniform in-plane force, critical speed is required to define in a different way, compared with conventional definition in axi-symmetrical spinning disk.

  • This study aims to perform the characteristic evaluation of surface grinding for the STD11 material with experimental and analytic techniques based on the response surface model. The grinding force acting on the workpiece and the ground surface roughness were measured according to the change of grain size, table speed and depth of cut. The effect of spark-out on the grinding force and the surface roughness was also characterized. The frictional coefficient between workpiece and grinding wheel could be determined by the analysis of spark-out effect. From the experimental data, the second-order response surface models were developed to predict the grinding force and the surface roughness. Validation of the developed model was examined.

  • The surface grinding of STD-11 was attempted on the machining center. Grinding experiments were performed at the various grinding conditions and the grinding force, machining error, grinding ratio, and surface roughness were measured. The experimental results indicate that the grinding ratio decreases as the table speed and depth of cut increase. The surface roughness of ground surface was not affected by the change of depth of cut. The surface roughness values obtained on the experiments were 0.02 ~ 0.03${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ which are fairy good and acceptable for ground surface.

  • To reduce two preprocess operations to one in the surface grinding operation the laminated grinding wheel was introduced and its availability has already been investigated in the cylindrical grinding process. Thus in this study the experiment was carried out to attempt to prove that the laminated grinding wheel can be used in the surface grinding process with respect to the roughness and grinding force.

  • 평면 추적(planar tracking) 기반의 카메라 추적에 있어, 특징 검출자의 반복성과 특징 기술자(descriptor)의 정합 성능에 따라서 떨림 현상(jitter)이 발생한다. 특히, 모바일 환경에서와 같은 연산력이 부족한 환경에서 고속화를 위해 특징 검출 및 기술 알고리즘을 간략화 시킬 경우, 이러한 떨림 현상은 심각한 문제가 된다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 입력 영상을 워핑(warping)하여 특징 점을 재검출한 후 카메라 영상과 참조 영상(reference image) 사이의 호모그래피를 보완하는 방법을 제안한다. 실험을 통해 제안된 방법이 특징 검출 및 기술 알고리즘의 성능을 보완하여 떨림 현상을 크게(70% 이상) 감소시킴을 확인하였다.

Dynamic Characteristics of a 3-dimensional Irregular Setback Structure (3차원 비정형 Setback 구조물의 동적 특성)

  • 입면의 형태가 임의의 층에서 큰 차이를 보이는 3차원 비정형 setback 구조물의 동적 거동 특성과 이들 구조물의 동적 거동에 미치는 바닥 슬래브의 면내 변형 효과를 분석하였다. 비정형 setback 구조물의 전반적인 동적 거동특성을 분석하기 위하여 베이스 부분의 평면적과 타워 부분의 평면적 비(R?), setback 발생위치(L?)등을 매개 변수로 사용하였다. 48개의 비정형 setback 구조물들에 대한 해석 수행 결과 setback 구조물은 정형 구조물에 비해 횡방향 1차 모드의 유효 모드 중량(effective modal weight)이 작게 나타나는 경향을 보이기 때문에 setback 구조물의 동적 거동을 파악하기 위해서는 등가 정적 해석법 대신에 동적 해석을 수행할 필요가 있음을 알 수 있었다. 바닥슬래브의 면내 변형은 보다 긴 구조물의 고유 진동 주기값을 가져오며 모드 순서 및 모드 형상에도 변화를 준다. 이러한 사실은 바닥슬래브의 면내 변형으로 인하여 횡방향 저항 요소들간의 전단력 분포와 층 변위가 영향을 받을 수 있다는 것을 의미한다. 이러한 현상은 횡방향 저항 요소들간의 강성 차가 심한 프레임-전단벽 시스템에서 두드러지게 나타난다.

  • 본 연구에서는 복단면 사행수로의 흐름특성과 수위특성을 정량적으로 분석하고자 코사인 유도형(cosine-generated) 복단면 만곡 수로 실험 자료를 기초로 3차원 수치모의를 수행하였다. 수치모의에는 3차원 수치모의 프로그램인 Flow3D을 사용하였고, 난류 모델은 RNG ${\kappa}-{\epsilon}$ 모델을 사용 하였다. 수치모의 결과는 실험 결과와의 비교를 통하여 평면유속분포 및 유속벡터, 만곡부 단면에서의 수위분포 등으로 분석하였고, 이는 이전의 실험결과와 일치하는 것으로 나타난다. 특히, 평면 유속분포는 수위 증가에 따라 저수로 중심의 최대 유속선이 만곡 내측으로 이동하는 것이 모의되었다. 이런 흐름구조는 다른 연구자들이 이전까지 연구한 실험 및 수치모의 결과와도 일치한다. 또한, 수위 분포 결과에서는 사행하도의 원심력에 의한 흐름특성인 만곡부 내측과 외측의 수위차가 미세하게 발견되었다.
