This study aims to examine the relationship between physical environment and depression symptoms of middle-aged and older adults in metro city. To verify correlates of community environment and depression, mediating effect model structured by social capital and sense of coherence(SOC) were used. For the purpose, a survey was conducted aged 48 - 70 from the local community centers and senior welfare centers in Seoul, and the total collected cases were 331. After data cleaning, total 309 cases were used. The structured equation modeling applied to analyse the direct and indirect effects. The findings were followed : First, the community environment did not directly affect level of depression. Second, in the indirect effect analysis, social capital was not statistically significant, thus indirect effect was confirmed only through the SOC. To be specific, the higher the satisfaction of the physical environment increased SOC, and decreased the level of depression. The results of this study shed lights on practical interventions to promote mental health of the middle-aged and older adults those who are exposed to poor community environment.

This study having purpose of promoting the convenience of medical service customer at medical service encounter have tried to know the influence of physical environment, perceived justice, and perceived waiting time to the intention of re-use of medical service through mediating variable such as service Quality evaluation and negative emotion. Particularly, this exploratory study have first tried to know what influence the physical environment and perceived justice have on negative emotion. Findings are; First, the physical environment affect positive influence to service Quality evaluation, and lower the negative emotion. Second, perceived justice have no influence to the service Quality evaluation and negative emotion. Third, the perceived waiting time lower the service Quality and increase the negative emotion. Fourth, the service Quality have positive influence to intention of re-use of medical service. However, the negative emotion have no influence to the intention of re-use of medical service. Therefore physical environment of medical service becomes more important and it is necessary to shorten the waiting time. In addition, even though negative emotion have no influence to the intention of re-use of medical service it is necessary to make the smallest of negative emotion. Because it is possible to separate once switching barner due to the medical service specificity is solved.

The satisfaction of customers, who are in a servicescape, will be subject to many environment stimulations. In particularly, in the hospitality industry such as restaurants service experience for customer is very important. Thus, not only the stylistic elements but also the social and socially symbolic elements. So this paper expands Bitner's servicescape framework by conceptualizing the existence of a expanded servicescape. The expanded servicescape has three important dimensions, which is the physical, the social and the socially symbolic. Structural modeling largely supports the hypothesized framework and the results about the relationship between expanded servicescape factors, relationship quality(satisfaction, trust, commitment) and repurchase are summarized as follows. And this study utilizes a questionnaire survey to gather data regarding consumers' perceptions by using expanded servicescape. First, the analysis proved that except comfort the physical dimensions which including comfort, convenience, aesthetics caused a positive impact on customer satisfaction. Second, social dimensions which including appearance, etiquette and professionalism caused a positive impact on customer trust. Third, except community symbolic dimensions which including nostalgia, connection to culture caused a positive impact on customer commitment. Forth, it proved that expected relationship quality(customer satisfaction, trust, commitment) caused a positive impact on repurchase behavior.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of learning space Servicescape on the user satisfaction level and continuance intention and to identify moderating effect of the learning activity. The six Servicescape factors are selected after literature review and in-depth interviews; cleanliness, comfort, convenience, aesthetics, accessibility, and flexibility. The online survey is given to the university students at four-year private universities in Seoul metropolitan area. The result shows that among the learning space Servicescape factors, cleanliness, comfort, convenience, and accessibility have a significant impact on the user's satisfaction and the user's satisfaction response determines the continuance intention to the learning space. It is also found that the factors of cleanliness and comfort have a negative moderating effect on user satisfaction. This study implies that the result provides methods to develop the space arrangement for university libraries that provide the better-support to students' learning experience.

최근 타 교통수단으로 인해 발생하는 교통사고나 환경오염 등의 문제들을 보완하는 녹색 교통수단의 하나로써 보행교통에 대한 관심과 연구가 활발하게 증가되고 있다. 하지만 차량교통에 관한 연구에 비해 보행 교통에 관한 연구는 미미하며, 특히 우리나라 여건에 맞는 보행 환경의 서비스 수준과 보행 안전도 등에 대한 객관적 평가 모형의 개발이 필요한 실정이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 도시 내 보행 환경 요소를 정량적으로 계산하고 측정할 수 있는 평가 지표인 그린 스코어(Green Score)를 개발하고자 하였다. 본 논문에서 제시한 그린 스코어 측정 모형은 실제 물리적인 보행공간을 기반으로 가상의 시스템에 적용되어 보행 이동 패턴의 가시화, 보행 환경의 쾌적성과 편의성 평가 예측에 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

This study analyzed the influence of the perception of physical environment on user satisfaction and park use when people use the park to improve their health. The study is focused on neighborhood parks in Suseong-gu, Daegu city. Statistical analyses were employed to data collected from 143 visitors on site. First of all, in the perception evaluation of the physical environment of the park, accessibility and pedestrian environment are the highest at 4.04, while water space and attractions in the park as the lowest parts are at 2.32 and 2.66. After conduct factor analysis to type 22 physical environmental awareness components, five main factors--Comfort, Availability, Amenity, Facilities convenience and Visuality--were classified. Then, satisfaction and influence on park use were analyzed. As a result, the factors affecting user satisfaction were comfort, availability, amenity and facility convenience. Among them, the category of amenity was the most influential factor at 0.315. The factors affecting the park use were availability and amenity. Availability factor had a higher influence at 0.396 than amenity at 0.293. Therefore, in order to improve satisfaction and park use for health improvement, it is necessary to secure sufficient green areas and create a pleasant environment. Also, it is necessary to improve the quality of walkability from homes to parks, trail improvement and other improvements.

This paper aims to develop a web based GIS system which is able to evaluate and visualize the overall degree (in terms of pleasantness and aesthetics) of pedestrian friendliness of the environment, as well as pedestrians' convenience through a Walkability Indicators that simplify pedestrian environment elements into a quantitative index in accordance with characteristics of pedestrian space. To make this goal come true, we developed and applied Walkability index which can measure the pedestrian environment through reflecting quantitative Indicators based on GIS supplementing the limit of Literature Review. In addition, in order to develop index we utilized AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) and we displayed measurement result on study area through web GIS Services. The proposed pedestrian measurement system is expected to be applicable in the visualization of pedestrian movements and the evaluation of convenience levels of pedestrian environment.

This study is intended to investigate the effects of customers' emotional response upon behavioral intention with taking customers who visited Korean restaurants into account. Luxury Korean restaurants where we apply to this study are selected by the food service industry association of Busan-metro city among the model restaurants. For this aim, designing a research model and drawing a hypothesis were carried out with a basis of advanced research. In data processing, SPSS win package 15.0 statistical program was used to verify the hypothesis through frequency analysis, reliability analysis, factor analysis, and regression analysis. The result of the analysis on the effects of physical environment factor upon domination among emotional response could be summed up as follows. Employee and geniality factors turned out to exercise a significant impact on domination, convenience and cleanliness turned out not to. The result of the analysis on the effects of physical environment factor upon arousal among emotional responses could be summed up as follows. Cleanliness and geniality factors turned out to exercise a significant impact on evocation, convenience while employee factor turned out not to. As a result of the analysis on the effects of emotional response upon behavioral intention, domination and evocation factors among emotional responses had a statistically significant impact upon behavioral intention. From the findings of the study, it became evident that dining-out customers might regard luxury Korean restaurants as a space for experiencing various emotions by physical environment rather than for dining and meeting for friendship. To induce emotional response is therefore expected to help a company to promote the practical improvement in achievement over various aspects such as behavioral intention.

To understand the level of disability-free environment in existing high schools, this study evaluated the level of application of facilities for the disabled at 177 high schools located in Seoul and suggested the direction of improving the physical environment of high schools. Detailed standards related to school facilities such as the Act on the guarantee of convenience promotion for persons with disabilities, senior citizens, pregnant women and nursing mothers, and the Act on the prohibition of discrimination against persons with disabilities were examined, and previous studies related to the subject were reviewed. The overall application level of facilities for the disabled was investigated by conducting a field survey of high schools, and the application level was analyzed by the period before and after the enforcement of the Acts and by the presence or absence of special classes.

With the rapid advance of internet service and the corresponding migration of service environment from the text-based one to WWW (World Wide Web) environment, the number of internet users is growing rapidly due to its easy usage. Accordingly, usage of internet as services for sending electronic mails to the other patry over the network is becoming increasingly prevalent. Web-based electronic mailing system is comprised of a server and a client The former provides the users with e-mail accounts and services, while the latter serves as a user interface. In other words, it enales those public users who dos not own e-mail accounts on the existing mail server to have an access to hte mailing service through the web. In this paper, we designed a effective web-based electronic mailing system which is based on the internet explorer and linux operating system, which overcomes limitations of the existing e-mail systes and this facilitates the development of a stable e-mail system by being able to avoiding the low system performance due to the bursty characteristics of e-mail messages and the increasing number of users.
