유한요소법을 이용한 쿨링팬의 진동 및 간섭에 관한 연구 (A Study on Resonance and Interference of a Cooling Fan Assembly by Using FEM)

  • A CFA(Cooling Fan Assembly) is composed of a fan, motor and shroud, which is at the back of the automotive radiator. By forcing the wind to pass, the CFA controls the cooling performance of the radiator. The noise and vibration of the CFA may be primarily due to the resonance between the CFA and engine. The Interference among the fan, shroud and radiator by deformation is considered when the CFA is designed. In this paper, in order to analyze the structural vibration of the CFA for automobiles, a finite element model of the CFA is established by using a commercial FEM code. After the finite element modeling, the natural frequencies and the mode shapes are obtained from the FE analysis. The natural frequencies are obtained from the vibration test as well. Then, the results of the vibration test are compared with those of the FE analysis. The natural frequencies obtained by experiment have a great similarity to the results from FE model. We have confirmed the validity of the FE model and verify the structural safety for the resonance. The stress and displacements are obtained from FE analysis. We have confirmed the safety for the interference and failure.

공력소음 모델을 이용한 슈라우드 팬 주위의 유동특성 및 소음예측에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Flow Characteristics and Noise Predictions around the Shroud Fan using the Aero-acoustic Noise Model)

  • InThe purpose of this work is to analyze the flow characteristics and aerodynamic noise generated from a shroud fan at a constant 2,100 rpm using LES and FW-H noise model provided in the commercial code, FLUENT. Velocity distributions around the shroud fan obtained by using FLUENT code show good agreement with experimental results. The sound pressure level is decreased by about 6 dB as the distance from the fan increases twice. The directivity at 1st BPF shows a tendency of increasing SPL toward the axis of rotation.

  • Flow resistance induced by each element in suction nozzle of a vacuum cleaner with a rotary fan is investigated numerically and its relation with flow-induced noise is examined. Flow resistance and vorticity in suction nozzle are calculated and it is found that they are closely related with flow-induced noise. From numerical results, it is suggested that reduction of flow resistance effectively increases all-suction performance and decreases sound pressure level of noise generated in the suction nozzle.

  • In this study, it has been developed the program for predicting the noise spectrum of axial flow fan. The radiated acoustic pressure is expressed the discrete frequency noise peaks at BPF(Blade passage frequency) and its harmonics by Wu's method and the line spectrum at the broad band by Wright's method. And this paper presents the characteristics of a fan noise due to modify the design parameters. Accordingly, it is obtained the design parameter values for noise reduction of fan.

  • The cooling system, including a fan is a one of the major sources to generate the radiated noise of construction equipment. Therefore, it is required to reduce the flow noise induced by a fan in order to reduce the noise level. In this study, we made an engine room model to carry out a variety of experiments. And then, the flow noise analysis technique using the CFD code was applied to the cooling system of construction equipment. These analyses results agree well with the measurement results. These results make it possible to understand the flow noise characteristics and to design the low noise cooling system in the design stage.

  • This paper is a case study for the reduction of excavator Radiated noise. The main purpose of the study is to reduction noise for the cooling fan and hydraulic line which is main noise source of the excavator. Recent, noise regulations for the construction equipment is becoming stricter. Compare to past excavator drivers requirements for noise level demanding are becoming more and more. Therefore, this progress is an important role in determining the quality of the excavator.

  • This paper introduces a study for the noise reduction of a range hood for household. Generally, range hoods have a built-in sirocco fan from which rumbling noise is generated. Though the rumbling noise has low noise level. this noise makes most of the users nervous due to the its low frequency characteristics. For the purpose of noise reduction, in this study, a micro-perforated panel system is installed in the fan housing of range hood. From the experimental results, it is confirmed that the noise level emitted from the range hood is decreased over 2dB(A) in all frequency regions due to the effect of noise reduction by micro-perforated panel system.

Though the squawky noises have low noise level, these kinds of noises make most of the users nervous. For the purpose of noise reduction, in this study, a perforated plate system is installed in the fan housing of range hood. From the experimental results, it is confirmed that the noise level omitted front the range hood is decreased above 2dB(A) in all frequency regions due to the effect of noise reduction by perforated panel system.

  • 엇회전식 축류팬의 복잡한 유동특성을 이해하고 설계, 공력 해석 및 소음 특성 예측에 활용될 수 있는 3차원 비정상 유동장을 측정하였다. 엇회전식 축류팬의 3차원 비정상 유동장은 작동 영역인 설계점에서 $45^{\circ}$ 경사 열선을 이용하여 전단 동익의 전방, 전단 동익과 후단 동익 사이 그리고 후단 동익의 후방의 수직 유로 단면에서 측정되었다. 엇회전식 축류팬의 전단 동익과 후단 동익에 의해 발생되는 후류, 팁 와류 및 팁 누설 유동의 비정상 특성을 속도 벡터와 속도 윤곽을 통해 나타내었다.

축산 농가용 광역방제기 팬의 성능실험 및 분석 (Analysis and Performance Test for the Fan of a Wide Area Sprayer of Livestock Farm)

  • 본 연구는 축산 농가에 적용할 광역방제기를 개발하는데 있어 선행되어야 할 팬의 성능을 실험하고 분석하는데 목적이 있다. 연구에 사용된 방제기 팬은 최고 살포거리가 140m이고 유효 살포거리가 100 m가 되도록 설계 및 제작되었다. 따라서, 멀리 살포될 수 있도록 설계된 팬의 풍량은 $3,600\;m^3/min$, 정압은 100 mmAq로 하였다. 이러한 팬의 성능을 측정하고 분석하기 위하여 덕트를 이용한 풍동실험장치를 구성하였다. 본 실험에 앞서, 풍량 $600\;m^3/min$, 전압 500 mmAq을 요하는 팬을 이용하여 기초 실험으로 수행하였다. 덕트 끝단에 설치된 스로틀 밸브를 통하여 풍량을 조절하며, 송풍출구와 정류격자 사이에 설치된 피토관을 이용하여 전압과 정압을 측정하였다. 풍량은 5개의 구간으로 나누고, 각 풍량에서 덕트 단면 내의 10개 지점에서 피토관 측정을 하였다. 이렇게 풍동실험을 통해 나온 결과를 예측된 결과와 비교하여 방제기 팬의 성능을 분석하였다. 측정 결과 풍량에 따른 축동력은 예측한 성능곡선과 비교하였을 때 실험 팬의 최적설계사양과 같은 최소의 오차가 났으며, 동력 효율이 최대로 나타났다. 소음측정 결과는 92.1 dB로 나타나 환경기준인 85 dB에는 미달되지만 밀폐된 실험장소를 감안한다면 기준에 적합한 것으로 판단되었다.
