Pattern-based Design and Safety Analysis for Networked Supervisory Medical Systems (네트워크 통합형 의료기기를 위한 안전한 상호작용 패턴과 구조적 안전성 검사)

  • There are growing demands for improving the patient safety and the effectiveness of medical services through device connectivity and interoperability. However, integration through networking might greatly increase the complexity of the system if it is not properly designed, jeopardizing patient safety. In this paper, we codify safe medical device interaction patterns, and exploit them for the low complexity design and safety analysis of networked supervisory medical systems. We implement the proposed approach as a plug-in of Architecture Analysis and Description Language (AADL). Our implementation enables the modeling and safety analysis of medical devices and their interactions before actual development.

  • 본 논문은 여러 옷감 조각들을 이용하여 가상의 3차원 인체 모델에 옷을 입히기 위한 의복 시뮬레이션 시스템을 제안한다. 본 논문에서 의상 제작 과정에 사용한 방법은 2차원 옷감 조각을 디자인하는 과정과 옷감 조각을 재봉하고 여기에 제약점을 정하여 3차원 인체 모델에 의상을 입히는 과정으로 구성된다. 제안된 시스템은 3차원 인체 모델 파일과 2차원 재단 패턴 파일을 읽어 들인 다음 질량-스프링 모델에 기반한 물리적 시뮬레이션에 의해 의복을 착용한 3D 모델을 생성한다. 본 논문의 시스템은 사실적인 시뮬레이션을 위하여 인체 모델을 구성하는 삼각형과 의복을 구성하는 삼각형 사이의 충돌을 검사하고 반응 처리를 수행하였다. 인체를 구성하는 삼각형의 수가 매우 많으므로, 이러한 충돌 검사 및 반응 처리는 많은 시간을 필요로 한다. 이 문제를 해결하기 위하여, 본 논문에서는 Octree 공간 분할 기법을 이용하여 충돌 검사 및 반응 처리 수를 줄이는 방법을 이용하여 사실적인 영상을 생성할 수 있었고, 수초 이내에 가상 인체 모델에 의복을 입힐 수 있었다.

  • 지금까지의 한영 번역 방식은 규칙 기반 방식이 주를 이루었지만 현재 패턴을 이용한 번역 방식이 활발히 연구되고 있다. 그러나 패턴 기반 방식은 그 적용성(Coverage)에 대한 치명적인 단점을 지닌다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 한국어 패턴을 어절 단위의 일반 문틀과 동사구를 중심으로 하는 용언중심의 문틀로 나누어 각 패턴들에 대한 적용성 및 실현성을 조사한다. 실험은 기존의 형태소 분석기를 이용하여 방송 자막 문장 351,806 문장을 대상으로 자동으로 문틀을 구축하여 4,995 문장의 테스트 데이터에 대한 적용성 검사를 실시하였다. 즉 본 논문에서는 방송 자막 문장을 대상으로 한영번역을 위한 일반 문틀 및 용언 중심의 문틀 방식의 적용성을 조사하여 문틀 기반 방식의 실현성을 평가하고 앞으로의 한영 번역 시스템 개발 방향을 제시한다.

  • In this paper, we propose a method to inspect defects of injection molded automotive parts. In order to inspect them, we developed and used a line detection algorithm and a defect analysis algorithm. The line detection algorithm defines center point of a laser line and the inspection algorithm determines the defects of automotive parts using pattern data of inspected objects and the data results from the line detection algorithm. We evaluated the accuracy and the processing time of inspection and they showed good performance.

  • This paper proposes a non-destructive ESPI technique to quantitatively evaluate defects inside a semiconductor package. The inspection system consists of the ESPI system, a thermal loading system and an adiabatic chamber. The technique is high feasibility for non-destructive testing of a semiconductor and overcomes the weaknesses of previous techniques, such as time-consumption and difficult quantitative evaluation. Most defects are classified as delamination defects, resulting from the insufficient adhesive strength between layers and from non-homogeneous heat spread. Ninety percent of the tested samples had delamination defects which originated at the corner of the chip and nay be related to heat spread design.

  • For visual inspection system in real industrial environment, it is one of most important tasks to design fast and stable pattern matching algorithm. This paper presents an edge-based point correlation algorithm avoiding full search in visual inspection system. Conventional algorithms based on NGC(normalized gray-level correlation) have to overcome some difficulties for applying to automated inspection system in factory environment. First of all, NGC algorithms need high time complexity and thus high performance hardware to satisfy real-time process. In addition, lighting condition in realistic factory environments if not stable and therefore intensity variation from uncontrolled lights gives many roubles for applying directly NGC as pattern matching algorithm in this paper, we propose an algorithm to solve these problems from using thinned and binarized edge data and skipping full point search with edge-map analysis. A point correlation algorithm with the thinned edges is introduced with image pyramid technique to reduce the time complexity. Matching edges instead of using original gray-level pixel data overcomes NGC problems and pyramid of edges also provides fast and stable processing. All proposed methods are preyed from experiments using real images.

  • An advantage of a magnetostrictive strip transducer for a long-range guided wave inspection is that the wave patterns are relatively clear and simple when compared to a conventional piezoelectric ultrasonic transducer. Therefore, if we can characterize the evolution of defect signals, it could be a promising tool for a structural health monitoring of pipes for a long period of time as well as an identification of flaws. However, when evaluating a signal during a realistic field examination, it should be careful because of some spurious signals or false indications, such as signals due to a directionality, multiple reflections, mode conversion, geometrical reflections etc. Mode converted signals from a realistic piping mockup were acquired and analysed. We found mode conversions between a torsional guided wave T(0,1) mode and a flexural F(1,3) or longitudinal L(0,2) mode generated by a magnetostrictive strip transducer. Based on the experimental observations, an interpretation of the source of the mode conversion is discussed in a viewpoint of electromagnetic properties and structure of the strip transducer.

Design and Implementation of High-Speed Pattern Matcher in Network Intrusion Detection System (네트워크 침입 탐지 시스템에서 고속 패턴 매칭기의 설계 및 구현)

  • This paper proposes an high speed pattern matching algorithm and its implementation. The pattern matcher is used to check patterns from realtime input packet. The proposed algorithm can find exact string, range of string values, and combination of string values from input packet at high speed. Given string and rule set are modelled as a state transition graph which can find overlapped strings simultaneously, and the state transition graph is partitioned according to input implicants to reduce implementation complexity. The pattern matcher scheme uses the transformed state transition graph and input packet as an input. The pattern matcher was modelled and implemented in VHDL language. Experimental results show the proprieties of the proposed approach.

An Analysis of Second and Third Graders' Understanding of Patterns (초등학교 2, 3학년 학생들의 패턴에 대한 이해 실태 조사)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the overall understanding of patterns by second- and third-grade elementary school students. For this purpose, 12 classes per grade were selected from 10 schools, and a 46-item test was administered to 216 second graders and 223 third graders. The results of the study showed that in most cases, there was no statistically significant difference in the understanding of patterns between second- and third-graders. The exception occurred regarding the 10 items of identifying the structure of a pattern: Second-graders did better than third-graders regarding 8 items, whereas vice versa regarding 2 items. The items that both second- and third-graders struggled with included finding multiple components of a given pattern, comparing the structures between patterns, and guessing a particular term in an open pattern. Based on these findings, this paper discusses second- and third-graders' understanding of patterns and suggestions for further instruction.

  • 본 논문은 열화된 영상에서 문자 패턴의 자동 분할을 위해 농담정규화상관(NGC)법과 다중 템플릿을 이용하는 알고리즘을 제안한다. 기존의 NGC를 사용하는 검사 알고리즘은 환경조건의 영향으로 검사 영상의 획득이 불완전하다면 정합의 부독율(rejection rate)이 높아진다. 다중 템플릿의 상관관계를 이용하는 제안된 방법은 가시화가 졸지 않은 경우에도 문자부와 배경부를 효과적으로 분할하며, 이러한 방법을 실제 자동화 공정에서 획득된 영상을 이용하여 제안된 알고리즘을 적용하는 것을 목표로 한다.
