Developing an Discrimination Test for the Information Gifted usign EPL at the Elementary School Level (EPL을 활용한 초등 정보 영재 판별 도구의 개발)

  • This paper proposed new approach for the information gifted discrimination test usign EPL. We tried to distinguish high level thinking in the information gifted through test of this study. We designed discrimination test by the features of EPL and developed testing item tool like single-sprit and multi-sprite. These items are divided into adding block, changing the block order, modifying value io block, and changing a block. We designed this testing tool that the elementary students can solve items without an experience on learning programming language. We expect the testing tool io proposed this study will help to discriminate the information gifted effectively.

  • Since the science of information is appearing no less important than mathematics and natural science as our society is rapidly becoming information-oriented, the necessity to distinguish prodigies of this field and to educate them as early as possible is also being emphasized. Unfortunately, however, the pertinent study is still in its beginning stage. In this study, I have reviewed the character, definition and method to distinguish prodigies and the procedure of developing a test, as well as researching and analyzing the proper process of distinguishing prodigies, through theoretical contemplation on the method of distinguishing the gifted children. Also, I have characterized and defined the information prodigies after clarifying the character of 'Discrete Mathematics' which becomes the basis of the science of information, paving the way to make a test method that can distinguish those information prodigies. As a result of our applying the system by using the distinction test, it turned out that the distinction test was pretty reliable. Accordingly, it can be utilized as a significant distinction test for information prodigies in the forthcoming future.

  • This study proposed new approach for the information gifted discrimination test using EPL. We tried to distinguish high level thinking in the information gifted through test of this study. We categorized testing tool according to context type: simple attribute problem, complex same attribute problem, complex focus attribute problem, mathematic-verbal ability required problem. And testing tool divided into modifying scripts, guess scripts's result, using scratch program. In the effectiveness test of proposed tool, we confirmed content validity and credibility.

  • Before evaluating convergent, discriminant, and known-groups validity, it is suggested to design an instrument that reflects hypothetical relationships or differences with other comparator instruments or groups. For criterion validity, a gold-standard instrument measuring the same construct should be carefully selected.

A Study on the Validity of the Grit Test as a Tool for Identification of Mathematically Gifted Elementary Students (초등수학영재 판별 도구로서 그릿 검사 타당성 검증)

  • The purpose of this study was to find out whether the Grit test is valid as a test tool for Identification of mathematically gifted elementary students. For this study, we conducted Grit tests, Mathematical Problem Solving Aability Tests, Mathematical Creative Ability Tests, and Mathematically Gifted Behavior Characteristic Tests on 39 ordinary students at Seoul public elementary school and 20 mathematically gifted students at the Education Center for Gifted Education, and analyzed correlation with each test. In addition, we conducted a discriminant analysis to find out how the Grit test can accurately determine the members of the mathematically gifted student group and the ordinary student group. As a result of Pearson's correlation analysis, the Grit test was .521 with the Mathematical Problem Solving Ability Tests, .440 with the Mathematical Creative Ability Tests, and .601 with the Mathematically Gifted Behavior Characteristic Tests, according to significant positive correlation at p<.01. Through this, it can be confirmed that the Grit test has a high official validity as a tool for determining mathematically gifted students. As a result of conducting a discriminant analysis to confirm the classification discrimination ability of the elementary mathematically gifted student group and ordinary student group of the Grit test, Wilk's λ was .799(p<.001). We confirm that the Grit test is a significant variable in determining the mathematically gifted student group and ordinary student group. In addition, 64.4% of the entire group was accurately classified as a result of group classification through discriminant analysis. This shows that the Grit test can be actually used as a test tool to determine mathematically gifted elementary students.

  • 낸드 플래시 메모리를 이용한 SSD(Solid-State Disk)는 빠른 속도와 저전력, 휴대성, 내구성 등의 특성을 가져 전통적인 저장 장치인 하드 디스크(HDD:Hard Disk Drive)를 대체할 차세대 저장 장치로 주목받고 있다. 그러나 저장 장치 성능 측정 도구는 기존의 하드 디스크의 특성을 기반으로 한 것들이 대부분으로 이를 통해 SSD의 성능을 측정하기엔 적합하지 않다. 특히 SSD는 하드 디스크에 비해 단위 공간 당비용이 수십 배 가량 높아 저장 공간의 효율적인 관리를 위해 컨트롤러(Controller)가 데이터 압축 기법을 사용하기도 하는데 이 압축 기법을 사용하는 컨트롤러에 따라 SSD는 다른 성능을 보인다. 또, 여러 가지 명령들이 한꺼번에 존재할 때 컨트롤러에 따라 이를 적절히 효율적으로 처리해주는 기능을 가지고 있는데 이 역시 SSD의 성능에 차이를 가져온다. 그러나 기존 저장 장치 성능 측정 도구는 압축 기법 유무를 판별할 수 있으면서 여러 명령들이 한꺼번에 존재할 때 SSD 성능의 차이를 파악할 수 있는 통합된 성능 측정 도구는 없다. 본 논문에서는 다양한 패턴에 따라 SSD의 특성을 측정할 수 있는 도구인 uFlip 성능 측정 도구를 기반으로, 압축 기법의 사용 유무를 판별할 수 있는 기능과 명령 큐 깊이(Command Queue Depth)에 따라 성능의 차이를 판별할 수 있는 기능을 추가하였고, uFlip 기반 수정된 성능 측정 도구로 몇 가지 상용 SSD의 성능을 평가하여 비교함으로써 추가된 기능들의 유무에 따라 SSD별로 다른 성능을 보이는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • 영재는 그 다양한 특성으로 인하여 객관적인 판별도구를 개발하는 것에 한계가 있으며 판별절차에 관한 학자들의 이론도 다양하다. 특히 고도의 창의적인 능력을 나타내는 수학 영재아의 경우에는 더더욱 그러한 면이 심하다고 할 것이다. 본 연구에서는 인천과학 영재교육센터에서 실행했던 중등 수학영재선발과정에 대하여 살펴보고 이에 대한 문제점을 검증함으로써 앞으로 더 발전된 수학 영재아의 판별을 위한 방안을 제시하고자 한다.

  • The purpose of this study is to propose the direction for identification of artistically gifted children by considering the methods of it as a part of the basic study for artistically gifted children education. The result of study on the identification of artistically gifted children in literature, the identification methods are classified into the formal standardized art test, the informal test, and non-test measure. And they are considered and discussed laying importance on their characteristics and problems.

  • Recently, the number of cyber attacks using malicious code has increased. Various types of malicious code detection techniques have been researched for several years as the damage has increased. In recent years, profiling techniques have been used to identify attack groups. This paper focuses on the identification of attack groups using a detection technique that does not involve malicious code detection. The attacker is identified by using a string or a code signature of the malicious code. In addition, the detection rate is increased by adding a technique to confirm the packing file. We use Yara as a detection technique. We have research about RAT (remote access tool) that is mainly used in attack groups. Further, this paper develops a ruleset using malicious code and packer main feature signatures for RAT which is mainly used by the attack groups. It is possible to detect the attacker by detecting RAT based on the newly created ruleset.

  • This study is to define the hemodiafiltration treatment compliance indicators and discriminate standards for hemodiafiltration patients and development of hemodiafiltration treatment compliance measurement-convergent form. Date was collected from 300 on-line hemodiafiltration patients. To verify the hemodiafiltration treatment compliance indicators and discriminate standards, used construct validity and content validity by clinical professional group. Discriminant ability of 3 indicators-interdialysis weight gain rate(IWGR), serum phosphate level, rate of self change of total hemodiafiltration treatment time(SCR-HEFTT)- is 95.6%(wilks ramda=.256, p=.002). And hemodiafiltration treatment compliance measurement-convergent form has 91.7% discriminant accuracy. Hemodiafiltration treatment compliance is important that nurses can aware pre-stage of complication and give appropriate nursing intervention. Also this measurement can be used for foundation data of the nursing intervention development that prevent dialysis patient's complication.
