A Study on Automated Fake News Detection Using Verification Articles (검증 자료를 활용한 가짜뉴스 탐지 자동화 연구)

  • Thanks to web development today, we can easily access online news via various media. As much as it is easy to access online news, we often face fake news pretending to be true. As fake news items have become a global problem, fact-checking services are provided domestically, too. However, these are based on expert-based manual detection, and research to provide technologies that automate the detection of fake news is being actively conducted. As for the existing research, detection is made available based on contextual characteristics of an article and the comparison of a title and the main article. However, there is a limit to such an attempt making detection difficult when manipulation precision has become high. Therefore, this study suggests using a verifying article to decide whether a news item is genuine or not to be affected by article manipulation. Also, to improve the precision of fake news detection, the study added a process to summarize a subject article and a verifying article through the summarization model. In order to verify the suggested algorithm, this study conducted verification for summarization method of documents, verification for search method of verification articles, and verification for the precision of fake news detection in the finally suggested algorithm. The algorithm suggested in this study can be helpful to identify the truth of an article before it is applied to media sources and made available online via various media sources.

Application of the Homogenization Analysis to Calculation of a Permeability Coefficient (투수계수 산정을 위한 균질화 해석법의 적응)

  • Hydraulic conductivity along rock fracture is mainly dependent on fracture geometries such as orientation, aperture, roughness and connectivity. Therefore, it needs to consider fracture geometries sufficiently on a fracture model for a numerical analysis to calculate permeability coefficient in a fracture. This study performed new type of numerical analysis using a homogenization analysis method to calculate permeability coefficient accurately along single fractures with several fracture models that were considered fracture geometries as much as possible. First of all, fracture roughness and aperture variation due to normal stress applied on a fracture were directly measured under a confocal laser scaning microscope (CLSM). The acquired geometric data were used as input data to construct fracture models for the homogenization analysis (HA). Using the constructed fracture models, the homogenization analysis method can compute permeability coefficient with consideration of material properties both in microscale and in macroscale. The HA is a new type of perturbation theory developed to characterize the behavior of a micro inhomogeneous material with a periodic microstructure. It calculates micro scale permeability coefficient at homogeneous microscale, and then, computes a homogenized permeability coefficient (C-permeability coefficient) at macro scale. Therefore, it is possible to analyze accurate characteristics of permeability reflected with local effect of facture geometry. Several computations of the HA were conducted to prove validity of the HA results compared with the empirical equations of permeability in the previous studies using the constructed 2-D fracture models. The model can be classified into a parallel plate model that has fracture roughness and identical aperture along a fracture. According to the computation results, the conventional C-permeability coefficients have values in the range of the same order or difference of one order from the permeability coefficients calculated by an empirical equation. It means that the HA result is valid to calculate permeability coefficient along a fracture. However, it should be noted that C-permeability coefficient is more accurate result than the preexisting equations of permeability calculation, because the HA considers permeability characteristics of locally inhomogeneous fracture geometries and material properties both in microscale and macroscale.

  • 인구의 증가와 경제의 발전으로 인해 한정된 수자원에 대한 수요가 급증하였고 향후 고도의 복지사회 구현과 지방 자치화에 따른 각종 용수 수요에 대한 심각한 물 배분 문제가 대두되고 있다. 특히 심각하게 물 배분 문제가 야기될 때 각 수요지점별로 필요한 용수를 공급하기 위해서 단지 상류에서 하류 단으로 물을 배분한다면 수리권의 공정성 문제가 제기되며 물 관리 원칙의 결여에 따른 곤란한 상황이 발생할 수 있다. 이렇게 갈수 및 가뭄 시와 같이 물 배분 문제가 생길시 에는 우선 하천유역 전체의 가용수량을 파악한 후 각 용수 사용별로 중요성을 감안하여 용수공급 우선순위를 설정하여 전 하천 유역을 통하여 일관된 배분을 실시할 수 있는 수자원 최적화 배분 시스템을 개발 할 필요성이 있다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위하여 본 연구에서는 한국수자원공사 수자원연구원과 콜로라도주립대학에서 공동 개발한 유역 네트워크 유량 모델(River Basin Network Flow Model)인 K-MODSIM을 이용하여 유역통합 실시간 일 저수지 운영 모델을 개발하였다. 개발된 유역통합 실시간 일운영 모델은 금강유역에 적용하였으며, 금강유역을 12개의 소유역으로 구분하고, 용담댐과 대청댐을 포함하며, 유역관리는 용수공급, 치수대책, 발전수력 및 하천 유지용수의 공급등의 유역내 수자원 관리 상황을 포함하였다. 이처럼 유역의 매우 자세한 세부사항을 고려함으로서 기존에 개발된 모델이 가지고 있던 단순화의 단점을 보완하고 유역의 특성을 최대한 반영하도록 하였다. 또한 유역통합 실시간 일운영 모델의 장기적인 저수지 운영 문제를 해결하기 위해 암시적 추계학적 동적계획법을 사용하여 도출된 월운영룰을 일운영모델에 적용할 수 있는 방법을 제시 하였다.기능으로 구성되어 있으며, 각 기능을 선택하면 해당 화면으로 GUI가 전환된다. 따라서 다량의 측정자료의 신뢰성을 유지하고 이를 모형의 입력자료로 활용하는 일련의 과정을 시스템화하기 때문에 자료의 이상적 유지 관리가 이루어지며 복잡한 2차원 수질해석 모형을 수월하게 운영할 수 있는 시스템으로 개발하였다.제외하면, 부자측정 방법에 의한 유량산정시 가장 큰 오차원인은 홍수시 측정된 유속측선의 위치와 홍수 전후로 측정된 횡단면상의 위치가 일치하지 않는 점과, 대부분 두 측정 구간의 평균값을 대푯값으로 사용한다는 점이다. 본 연구는 다년간의 유량 측정 및 검증 경험과 자료를 토대로 현장에서 부자를 이용하여 측정된 측정성과를 정확도 높은 유량자료로 산정하는데 있어서의 문제점을 도출하고, 이로 인해 발생하는 오차를 추정하여 그 개선방안을 제시해 보고자한다. 더불어 보다 정확한 유량 산정을 위한 기준과 범주를 제시하고자 한다.리적 특성을 잘 반영하며, 도시지역의 복잡한 배수시스템 해석모형과 지표범람 모형을 통합한 모형 개발로 인해 더욱 정교한 도시지역에서의 홍수 범람 해석을 실시할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다. 본 모형의 개발로 침수상황의 시간별 진행과정을 분석함으로써 도시홍수에 대한 침수위험 지점 파악 및 주민대피지도 구축 등에 활용될 수 있을 것으로 판단된다. 있을 것으로 판단되었다.4일간의 기상변화가 자발성 기흉 발생에 영향을 미친다고 추론할 수 있었다. 향후 본 연구에서 추론된 기상변화와 기흉 발생과의 인과관계를 확인하고 좀 더 구체화하기 위한 연구가 필요할 것이다.게 이루어질 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.는 초과수익률이 상승하지만, 이후로는 감소하므로, 반전거래전략을 활용하는 경우 주식투자기간은 24개월이하의 중단기가 적합함을

  • This study proposes a Korean sentimental analysis algorithm that utilizes a letter-unit embedding and convolutional neural networks. Sentimental analysis is a natural language processing technique for subjective data analysis, such as a person's attitude, opinion, and propensity, as shown in the text. Recently, Korean sentimental analysis research has been steadily increased. However, it has failed to use a general-purpose sentimental dictionary and has built-up and used its own sentimental dictionary in each field. The problem with this phenomenon is that it does not conform to the characteristics of Korean. In this study, we have developed a model for analyzing emotions by producing syllable vectors based on the onset, peak, and coda, excluding morphology analysis during the emotional analysis procedure. As a result, we were able to minimize the problem of word learning and the problem of unregistered words, and the accuracy of the model was 88%. The model is less influenced by the unstructured nature of the input data and allows for polarized classification according to the context of the text. We hope that through this developed model will be easier for non-experts who wish to perform Korean sentimental analysis.

A Proposal of a Model for the Generation of Weathered Residual Soils (풍화잔류토의 생성모델의 제안)

  • A new fragmentation model, called the GRS (the generation model of weathered residual soils) model, was proposed in this study, This model could identify the formation of a residual soil. This model is based on the phenomena that as the soil was weathered more highly, soil particles were smaller and pores were more expanded simultaneously. The possibility of fragmentation, $P_F,$ which was based on the fractal theory, was introduced in this model. There were some fundamental notions in the GRS model that soil particles were generated as the rock is fragmented, and the fragmentation of the rock was performed step by step. The $P_F,$ of the rock was not constant at each fragmentation steps. As a result of application on the GRS model, there were more residue where $P_{Fi}s$ were small at any particle size. There was a S-shape of PSD curve at the concave shape of $P_{Fi},$ and the PSD curve goes to a gaped graded curve at the convex shape of $P_{Fi}.$ The shape of PSD curve was concave in the case of small $P_{Fi}s.$ The value of $P_{Fi}$ increased with the coefficient of uniformity $(C_u)$ and the fragmentation fractal dimension $(D_r),$ but had no relation with the coefficient of gradation $(C_C)$.

Modelling and Analysis of Roll-Type Steel Mats for Rapid Stabilization of Permafrost (I) - Modeling - (영구동토 급속안정화를 위한 롤타입강재매트의 모델링과 해석(I) - 해석모델의 수립 -)

  • Finite element modelling and analysis were conducted for the roll-type steel mats which were placed on loose sand and subjected to a standard truck wheel load in this study. The roll-type steel mats mean that the steel mats can be folded as a circle shape for the carrying to fields in cold regions where workability is limited and are developed for a rapid rehabilitation method for roadway across soft ground which is caused by thawing during the summer season in cold regions. The model is composed of link elements to simulate nonlinear behavior of connections between steel mats, thick shell elements to have flexural stiffness of the steel mats, and springs to simulate characteristics of foundation soils. The structural behaviors of the shell, link elements, and springs were verified at each modelling step through experiment and analysis. Beam and shell analysis without the link elements were conducted and compared to results obtained from the model presented in this study. Significant vertical displacement is shown in the shell model with hinge connections. Therefore, the results demonstrate that the analysis model for the roll-type steel mats on loose sand needs further detail parametric studies.

  • The purpose of this study was to find whether national identity, value orientation, cultural sensitivity influence Multi cultural competence of secondary school students. The significant result out of this research was that Multi cultural competence were different by its concerned variables. The results of hierarchical regression analysis reveal that changes to each of the models were checked by introducing a new group of variables in each stage. Then the influences of the concerned variables including national identity, value orientation, and cultural sensitivity on multi cultural competence were tested through the influence and significance of the variables and the changing explanatory power of the entire models.

  • A computational analysis of nozzle flow characteristics and plume structure is conducted to examine performance of the supersonic nozzle employed in a thruster for ground firing test. At first, flow simulations in two-dimensional converging-diverging nozzle are performed for the verification of computational capability as well as turbulence model validity. Axisymmetric converging-diverging nozzles for ground firing test are analyzed with the k-${\omega}$ SST model. A performance penalty caused by flow separation in a diverging section is observed in initially-designed nozzle. The performance could be enhanced by the modification of the diverging section of nozzle contour.

  • 본 논문에서는 미국토목학회(ASCE)의 사장교에 대한 첫번째 벤치마크 문제를 이용하여 제어-구조물 상호작용을 고려한 새로운 반능동 제어 기법을 제안하였다. 이 벤치마크 문제에서는 2003년 완공 예정으로 미국 Missouri 주에 건설 중인 Cape Girardeau 교를 대상 구조물로 고려하였다. Cape Girardeau 교는 New Madrid 지진구역에 위치하고, Mississippi 강을 횡단하는 주요 교량이라는 점 때문에 설계단계에서부터 내진 문제에 대하여 자세하게 고려되었다. 상세 설계 도면을 기반으로 하여 교량의 전체적인 거동 특성을 정확하게 나타낼 수 있는 3차원 모델이 만들어졌고, 사장교의 제어 성능에 관련된 평가 기준이 수립되었다. 본 연구에서는 제어 가능한 유체 감쇠기에 속하는 MR 유체 감쇠기를 제어 장치로 제안하였고, 기존 연구에서 MR 유체 감쇠기를 포함한 구조물의 제어에 효율적이라고 검증된 clipped-optimal 알고리듬을 제어 알고리듬으로 사용하였다. 또한, 실제 규모의 MR 유체 감쇠기 실험 결과를 이용하여 수치해석에 이용할 수 있는 동적 모델을 개발하였다. MR 유체 감쇠기는 제어 가능한 에너지 소산장치이며 구조물에 에너지를 가하지 않기 때문에 제안된 제어 기법은 한정입출력 안정성이 보장된다. 수치해석을 통해, MR 유체 감쇠기를 이용한 반능동 제어 기법이 사장교의 응답 감소에 효과적인 방법임을 증명하였다.

  • Scaled model of a dual-mode ramjet engine with large backward-facing step, as a component of the rocket-based combined cycle engine, was designed. Design parameters were derived for this engine with the consideration of application for the rocket-based combined cycle engine. Design methodology was established for these design parameters. The design was partially verified through numerical study. Flow characteristics of the dual-mode ramjet engine with large backward-facing step was investigated experimentally. The design methodology for relevant design parameters established in this study was verified as feasible.
