USN based Context-Aware Vessel Monitoring System for A Group of Ships (군집선박을 위한 선박 USN을 이용한 상황인식 모니터링 시스템)

  • In this paper, we implements the USN based context-aware vessel system for a group of ships which receives the specific sensor data that is the result of context-aware after collecting from each of the among a group of ships. The received date is shared and managed by monitoring system. If this monitoring system have trouble the sensor from any ship, the it's control was transferred from the main monitoring ship to the any ship and the second main ship collect the data then recognize the context-aware. Also, this system have the advantage of that reduce the load due to the sensor node communication because just collect the optional sensor data.

  • The user authentication using fingerprint information not only provides the convenience but also high security. However, the fingerprint information for user authentication can cause serious problems when it has been compromised. It cannot change like passwords, because the user only has ten fingers on two hands. Recently, there is an increasing research of the fuzzy fingerprint vault system to protect fingerprint information. The research on the problem of fingerprint alignment using geometric hashing technique carried out. This paper proposes the hardware architecture fuzzy fingerprint vault system based on geometric hashing. The proposed architecture consists of software and hardware module. The hardware module has charge of matching between enrollment hash table and verification hash table. Based on the experimental results, the execution time of the proposed system with 36 real minutiae is 0.2 second when 100 chaff minutiae, 0.53 second when 400 chaff minutiae.

  • Recently, unmanned facilities have been introduced and operated in a way that reduces the cost and development of IT technology. Although unmanned facilities have advantages in terms of efficiency and economy, they have disadvantages such as failure of unmanned facilities and malfunctions, causing damage to facilities caused by intruders, and information leakage. In addition, it is necessary to visit the person in charge at all times to inspect the unmanned facilities, resulting in management costs. In this paper, we designed a system that checks the status of unmanned surveillance facilities in real time to check and automatically recover problems such as malfunctions, and to notify managers of situations by text messages in real time. The system to be designed consists of an integrated network video server (NVR) that receives and determines information on the operation status of the main equipment such as video, sound, and lighting, and a real-time text message using an SMS server.

A Study on AR-based Interface Technique for efficient UAV Operation using a See-through HMD (투시형 HMD를 이용한 효율적인 UAV 운용을 위한 증강현실 기반의 인터페이스 기법에 대한 연구)

  • In order to effectively prevent and respond to disasters, several techniques have been developed in which the pilot wearing a see-through Head Mounted Display (HMD) performs disaster-related rescue activities using images transmitted from an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV). However, these techniques have limitations in quickly determining and executing tasks appropriate to the on-site situation because the pilot cannot recognize the entire field in an integrated manner. In order to overcome these problems, we propose an AR based-interface technique that allows the rescuer wearing a see-through HMD to operate a UAV efficiently. Simulation results show that the proposed interface technique allows the rescuer wearing a see-through HMD to control the gimbal and flight of the UAV at a high speed based on finger gestures in a visibility situation.

A Sanitizer for Detecting Vulnerable Code Patterns in uC/OS-II Operating System-based Firmware for Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC용 uC/OS-II 운영체제 기반 펌웨어에서 발생 가능한 취약점 패턴 탐지 새니타이저)

  • As Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), popular components in industrial control systems (ICS), are incorporated with the technologies such as micro-controllers, real-time operating systems, and communication capabilities. As the latest PLCs have been connected to the Internet, they are becoming a main target of cyber threats. This paper proposes two sanitizers that improve the security of uC/OS-II based firmware for a PLC. That is, we devise BU sanitizer for detecting out-of-bounds accesses to buffers and UaF sanitizer for fixing use-after-free bugs in the firmware. They can sanitize the binary firmware image generated in a desktop PC before downloading it to the PLC. The BU sanitizer can also detect the violation of control flow integrity using both call graph and symbols of functions in the firmware image. We have implemented the proposed two sanitizers as a prototype system on a PLC running uC/OS-II and demonstrated the effectiveness of them by performing experiments as well as comparing them with the existing sanitizers. These findings can be used to detect and mitigate unintended vulnerabilities during the firmware development phase.

  • In this paper, it is introduced characteristics of FMCW-type Radar Altimeter for KUH, and its defects occurred during ground/flight test in initial product phase. In addition, it is also described 'data/control flow model' based fault analysis results of S/W and processes of verifying improvement design through flight test as well as aircraft system integration test called MEP SIL. As a result of design improvement and verification, it is validated that settling the defects and improving not only safety but also capability of the KUH.

  • Combat vehicles need an air-conditioning unit, although new combat systems tend to use an integrated system for heating, cooling, and ventilating. The specifications of an air-conditioning unit depend on the combat vehicle's purpose. It is difficult to send cooling air from the air-conditioning unit to a gun turret through the drum basket because the gun turret rotates and consists of a closed anti-aircraft shell magazine. In this study, we considered an air-conditioning unit for armored combat vehicle based on the special requirements and military specifications. We evaluated the performance of the air-conditioning unit despite the rotating gun turret through analysis and tests in terms of flow improvement compared to the previous model.

  • In this paper, we propose a remote control station based on the awareness of various combat field situation in order for operating multiple unmanned ground vehicles. Our remote control station is capable of sending a variety of messages designed for carrying out the skillful movement for collaborate among unmanned ground vehicles, gathering the information related with combat field situation, and completing the assigned missions which are described by operator in advance. To verify the effectiveness of our proposal, we develop the sophisticated remote control station and conduct a great many remote operating tests for multiple unmanned ground vehicles.

  • Recently, an important physical device of transportation, such as car, railroad, ship and aircraft has changed into electronic control unit. According to accident reports, the most of car accidents are caused by faults of embedded software loaded to computer control unit. The facts implies that the test to find defects in embedded software haven't performed sufficiently. As a result, it is necessary to establish the test procedures of embedded software based on safety assessment criteria. The objective of this proposal is to provide a unit test procedure complied with the safety assessment criteria for the embedded software. In addition, an effective unit testing procedure and defect analysis methods are proposed and a testing procedure using a safety criteria built-in tool is presented.

Therefore, in this paper it can inquire state of electronic, furniture devices through apartment complex web server and gear that control groove network at smart phone, and control, and confirms home state prevention of crimes state, and video inquiry of position that CCTV is placed in apartment complex was available. And it proposed integrated smart apartment with parking system and medical system using RFID system in ubiquitous environment.
