이제 ERP 패키지에 대한 막연한 기대로 무조건 도입을 추진하는 시기는 지났다. 대부분의 기업들이 자사의 가치를 향상시키고, 업무의 효율성을 증대하기 위한 실용적인 차원에서의 접근을 시도하고 있는 것이다. 벤더들도 이에 부응해 기업이 필요로 하는 다양한 기능을 통합, 각종 툴 및 방법론을 제공하고 있다. 통합 패키지 도입에 앞서 철저한 사전 점검 및 준비가 선행된다면, 기업에 생명력을 불어넣는 원동력이 될 것이다.

국내 항만공사는 항만공사법이 2003년 제정되고 부산항만공사가 2004년 설립된 이후 인천항만공사, 울산항만공사, 여수광양항만공사가 설립되어 운영되고 있다. 그러나 항만공사의 운영이 비효율적인 방향으로 흘러감에 따라 정부를 중심으로 공기업 통 폐합 등의 조직 개편 움직임의 목소리가 나오고 있다. 정부에서 구상하는 개편 방안 중 항만관리에 대해 통합적 운영이 적절한지, 분권적 운영이 바람직한지에 대해 보다 심층적인 논의가 필요하다. 본 연구는 항만공사 운영방식 개혁에 대한 논의에 대비하여 이러한 통합적인 접근방식과 분권적인 접근방식에 대한 비교분석을 하는 것을 그 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 항만공사제도의 도입배경과 현황, 조직의 통합운영과 분산운영에 대한 이론적 배경, 국내 공기업 통합 사례 및 해외항만 운영 사례, 항만공사 운영 방식의 대안별 비교를 실시하였다. 이를 통해 다음과 같은 결론을 얻을 수 있었다. 첫째, 항만공사제도는 기존의 항만관리제도 개선을 위한 노력이라는 역사적 맥락을 기반으로 하여 기존 관리제도의 문제점을 개선하기 위한 대안으로 도입된 제도이며, 이러한 제도적 목적을 기반으로 항만공사 운영개선방안 논의가 되어야 한다는 것이다. 둘째, 공공기관 운영에 있어 내재되어 있는 문제점을 개선하기 위해 기관통합, 기능 조정, 부분통합 등 다양한 방식으로 개선이 가능하며 반드시 하나의 방법으로 이루어 질 수는 없다는 것이다. 셋째, 해외 주요 항만의 경우 개별 항만에 항만공사를 운영하는 개별적 운영방식을 택하고 있으며 대만이 유일하게 통합 운영하는 방식으로 개편하였으나 그 통합으로 인해 기대하는 효과가 실현되고 있지 않아 통합운영 방식의 근거가 되기는 어렵다. 넷째, 항만의 운영 자료를 분석한 결과 항만별로 처리하는 화물과 선대의 특성이 차이가 나고 운영방식과 대상이 되는 시장이 다름을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 항만별 운영과 고객의 차이를 감안하면 개별적 운영방식이 바람직하다고 판단된다. 결과적으로 통합 운영방식의 운영 효율성 개선 효과가 있을 수 있음에도 불구하고 항만공사제도의 목적과 취지를 감안할 때 현행 개별운영 방식을 유지하는 것이 바람직하다는 결론을 제시한다.

네이버, 다음, 구글 등의 웹 상에서 제공하는 지도 서비스와 KML, GML, GeoRSS와 같은 기술들을 이용하여 하나의 위치 정보로 통합한 지리정보를 사용자에게 제공해 줄 수 있는 연구들은 현재까지 활발히 진행되어 왔다. 그러나 이러한 연구들은 위치 정보만 통하여 줄 뿐 의미 정보까지 통합하여 사용자들에게 다양한 정보들을 제공해주지 못한다. 이 논문에서는 KML, GML, GeoRSS 등으로 표현된 풍부한 지리정보들을 통합하여 웹 기반 지도 서비스에 제공해주는 시스템을 제안한다. 또한 지리정보들의 스키마 통합을 위해 어댑터 기반 의미 처리 방법과 정적/동적 의미 관리 기반 접근 방법을 혼합한 하이브리드 스키마 매칭(Hybrid Schema Matching, HSM) 방법을 제안하고, 제안 시스템의 평가를 위해 스키마 매칭을 위한 4가지 접근 방법과 비교 평가를 수행한다. 평가의 결과로 제안 시스템은 의미 해석에 대한 신뢰성이 보장되고 시스템 구축 비용과 데이터 통합 비용이 상대적으로 낮다는 특징을 지닌다.

CALS 추진의 주요 목표는 수동적이고, 서류중심인 정보를 국제 공통표준으로 디지털화시켜 통합적이고 자동화된 기술정보 공유 및 전송과정의 전환이며, 이와 같이 자동화되고 통합된 모습은 통합 데이터베이스(IDB)가 될 것이다. 이러한 CALS추진에 대한 구조적인 접근은 하부구조 현대화, 업무과정 혁신, 디지털 자료 획득, 그리고 기업통합으로 나타낼 수 있다. CALS 전략의 실행은 산업활동의 전 순기를 통하여 크게 하부구조 현대화, 업무과정 혁신, 디지털자료획득, 기업통합 등 4가지 요소들을 설명함으로써 가능하다.

The curriculum of integrated social studies is not conceptually established, but various forms pursuing so-called perfect integrated subject have appeared from elementary school to high school. But we cannot find out desirable integration in the elementary school though the apparent goal is to integrate all kinds of social concepts into one unit. The current method of integration has some problems over advantages people initially expected by integration. It is problematic in that students learn fragmental knowledges of geography without capturing the whole geographical concept structure or obtaining their own geographical viewpoint. Therefore, we purpose to reinterpret integration of social studies and reorganize the current textbook into the right direction under the assumption that simple mixture of knowledges is far from our goal of true integration. For this purpose, we suggest a new method for social studies as an integrated subject. Instead of providing knowledges unrelated to each other into one bundle, it helps students to see the real world in his own knowledge framework equipped with geographical viewpoint. The text we claim will show students that geography consists of three key concepts: physical environment, man and environment, and spatial structure. With this text, they will have an easy access to the relationships between key concepts and details, and between geographical concepts and similar concepts from other disciplines. The proposal contributes to both upcoming textbook development and classroom teaching by eliminating problems in the current social studies teaching.

This paper proposes a light-weight, seamless integrated access control for global e-Science resource sharing. E-Science, based on Grid Computing, was designed to help scientists to remotely control and process the Grid resources such as high-end equipments and remote machines. As many researchers engage in the e-Science Grids, the researchers in a grid often have to wait for or give up use of the Grid resources, even when there are idle resources in other Grids. In this case, provided that proper compensation is given, Grid resource sharing is helpful both for the researchers and the Grids which provide their resources. But, sharing Grid resources globally is not simple, as each e-Science Grid is especially designed for resource sharing in its Virtual Organization(VO) and already has its unique access control policy for its resources. This paper proposes a new integrated access control for e-Science Grid resource sharing. The access control is light-weight without any priori service level agreement(SLA)s among the Grids which share their resources and seamless because the users can use the resources shared as the ones belonging to their Grids without their additional registration to the other Grids.

This study presents the discourse for academic generation of 'School Library Education Science' based on integrative research between library & information science and education science. The study discusses research fields and themes of 'School Library Education Science' as the base to define the roles of the school library and of teacher-librarians. It contributes to upgrading the research level of the school library. The research field in the school library analyzes and integrates both aspects of library & information science and of education science. The developed theories of 'School Library Education Science' present Library-Based Education and Library-Based Learning, Base Connectionism, Base Integrationism, Top456 Approach, Curriculum-Based Approach, Viewpoint Approach, and Education of Information and the Library as a Subject Matter. The trends in research of the school library analyze the thesis numbers of academic journals. The future research challenges of 'School Library Education Science' discuss the educational basics of the school library, operational management, electronic school libraries, and educational activities. Conclusively, this study analyzes the current situation of the school library & of teacher-librarians in Korea, and provides its solution by the aspects of 'School Library Education Science'.
