  • 작업자들이 현장에서 착용하는 안전모는 안전모 본연의 기능 때문에 통풍의 제한을 받게 된다. 이로 인해 작업자들은 작업 시 많은 땀을 흘리게 되며 작업자들이 흘리는 땀은 머리받침 끈과 머리고정대등에 흡수되어 각종세균을 번식하게 되고 이로 인해 냄새가 나게 된다. 최근 들어 원적외선 방사율이 뛰어난 천연소재들이 개발되고 있으며 원적외선은 항균과 탈취능력이 탁월한 것으로 알려지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 상기 나열된 문제점을 해소하기 위하여 상온에서 원적외선 방사율이 높은 소재와 수분의 흡,배출 능력이 뛰어난 소재를 사용하여 안전모내부의 냄새와 세균번식을 줄이는 방안을 제시 하고자 한다.

선박의 원격검사를 위한 아날로그 게지이의 정량화에 관한 기초연구

  • 이 연구는 원격검사의 한 방법으로서, 특히 자율운항 선박에서 컴퓨터비전을 이용한 영상처리를 통한 원격 검사방법에 관한 것이다. 자율운항 선박은 자율화의 정도에 따라 다르지만, 선원이 승선하지 않거나 최소한의 선원만 승선하는 선박이므로 선박의 검사방법에 변화가 필요한 실정이다. 따라서 컴퓨터비전을 이용한 영상처리에 대한 이론적 배경을 바탕으로 원격검사 항목 중에서 아날로그 게이지의 정량화에 필요한 영상의 전처리 방법에 관한 연구이다. 아날로그 게이지의 정량화를 위해서 사용한 방법은 흑백처리, 가우시안필터, 임계화처리, 모폴로지 연산이다. 이 연구를 통하여 영상의 전처리 결과 배경과 객체를 비교적 명확하게 분류할 수 있었으며, 영상처리 과정 중 추가로 발생한 잡음을 효과적으로 제거할 수 있었다. 이를 통하여 영상에서 주된 객체인 지시바늘과 눈금판의 숫자를 인식에 필요한 이미지 전처리 방법을 제시하였으며, 나아가 컴퓨터 비전을 이용한 원격검사 방법은 아날로그 게이지뿐만 아니라 비상차단밸브, 통풍폐쇄장치, 고정식 소화장치 등 여러 방면에서 사용될 것이라 기대한다.

  • Biological activities and anticarcinogenicity of Korean Pear peel were investigated, Electron donating activity and superoxide dismutase (SOD)-like activity of fraction II, III were up to 80% and 50-60% at 50 ppm, respectively, Inhibitory effects on xanthine oxidase were about 80% at 50 ppm, breast adenocarcinoma was about 60% at 2,000 ppm, higher III than II Inhibitory effect on prostate adenocarcinoma was about 23% at 500 ppm. In conclusion, Korean pear peel was expected to use as a functional material.

A Comparative Study on the Cross-Ventilation Effect by the Floor Plan Type of Apartment House during Summer (아파트 평면형에 따른 여름철 맞통풍 효과 비교)

  • The purpose of this study is to make clear the cross-ventilation effect by floor plan type in apartment house during summer. The questionnaire survey was carried out during the 26$^{th}$ of August ${\sim}$ the 4$^{th}$ of September 2004. The respondents were 174 residents living in two subject apartment estates. One subject estate (we call A estate) was consisted apartment houses having cross-ventilation floor plan. The other subject estate (we cail B estate) was constructed apartment houses having ordinary floor plan. The field measurements of indoor thermal elements reflecting natural cooling effect by cross-ventilation were carried out at A house in A estate and at B house in B estate. The measurements in two subject houses were taken on simultaneously the 27$^{th}$ of August. The residents living in A apartment estate planed cross-ventilation type show positive responses on thermal sensation and airflow sensation. The averages indoor temperature and air velocity in the A house were 0.9 $^{\circ}$C lower and 0.29 m/s higher than the B house. Therefore, it was found that indoor thermal environment during summer in the house having cross-ventilation floor plan maintained more comfortable than the house having ordinary floor plan by natural cooling effect of cross-ventilation.

A Study for Aerodynamic Drag Reduction on Variable Message Sign using Flow Analysis (유동해석 기반 도로전광표지 공기저항 저감 구조 연구)

  • As the demand of Variable Message Sign(VMS) has become pervasive in fulfilling the ITS policy, the costs of maintaining the Variable Message Sign operation have also increased. This paper proposes the U-curved figure, the C-curved figure and the ventilated figure type for aerodynamic drag reduction on Variable Message Sign and shows the analysis of aerodynamic drag effects using Flow Analysis. As a results of the flow analysis for right-angled, 45 degrees from side to side and 45 degrees from up or down, the C-curved figure and the ventilated figure type show about 30% aerodynamic drag reduction in all direction. And the U-curved figure type shows vivid aerodynamic drag reduction for right-angled and 45 degree from side to side, but trivial aerodynamic drag reduction for 45 degree from up or down. It is possible to reduce not only the damage on Variable Message Sign due to typhoon because of the aerodynamic drag reduction, but also installation constraints because of lighter Variable Message Sign support structure by appling the proposed structure and analysis in this paper.

Biological activities of isolated phenolic compounds from Trachelospermum asiaticum var. intermedium nakai (마삭줄(Trachelospermum asiaticum var. intermedium nakai)로부터 추출한 pheonolic compounds의 생리활성)

  • This study provided the evidence activity for biological of phenolic compounds from Trachelospermum asiaticum var. intermedium nakaier as a beauty food. The contents of phenolic compounds in water and 70% ethanol extracts were 16.8 mg/g and 38.1 mg/g, respectively. DPPH free radical scavenging activities of water and ethanol extracts at $100{\mu}g/mL$ of phenolic concentration were 80.9% and 83.1%, respectively. ABTS radical decolorization activity was 95.0% in water extracts and 95.8% in ethanol extracts at $200{\mu}g/mL$ phenolic concentration. Antioxidant protection factor (PF) was determined to 2.43 and 2.45 PF in water extracts and ethanol extracts at $100{\mu}g/mL$ phenolic concentration. TBARs of water and ethanol extracts were 89.9% and 89.3% each at $200{\mu}g/mL$ phenolic concentration. The inhibitory effect of ethanol extracts at $200{\mu}g/mL$ phenolic concentration on xanthine oxidase was 50.5%. The inhibitory activity of a-glucosidase was 92.6% in ethanol extracts at $200{\mu}g/mL$ phenolic concentration. As a result, this study will provide valuable information as a functional material with antioxidant activity, inhibitory activities of xanthin oxidase and ${\alpha}-glucosidase$.

Inhibitory activities of phenolic compounds isolated from Chionanthus retusa flower on biological enzymes (이팝나무 꽃에서 분리한 페놀 화합물의 생리활성 효소 억제효과)

  • This study was designed to determine the biological activities of Chionanthus retusus flower extracts. Water and 90% ethanol extracts of C. retusus flower were prepared. The inhibitory activities of water and ethanol extracts with a phenolic content of $200{\mu}g/mL$ against xanthine oxidase were 25.60% and 15.92%, respectively. Further, the water extract did not show any inhibitory activity against ${\alpha}$-glucosidase whereas the ethanol extract showed 100.00% inhibition of ${\alpha}$-glucosidase. The inhibitory activities of the extracts against tyrosinase were 17.27% (water extract) and 36.13% (ethanol extract), which suggest that the extracts may have a whitening effect. The water extract did not inhibit elastase activity but showed a collagenase-inhibitory activity of 20.21%. On the contrary, the ethanol extract showed 96.26% and 35.93% inhibition of collagenase and elastase, respectively. These findings suggest that the extracts may have an anti-wrinkle effect. Lastly, the extracts showed a hyaluronidase inhibitory activity of 36.96% (water extract) and 88.70% (ethanol extract), suggesting that they may have an anti-inflammatory effect. The results indicate that C. retusus flower extracts containing phenolic compounds can be used as functional resources because they have anti-gout, carbohydrate degradation-inhibitory, whitening, anti-wrinkle, and anti-inflammatory effects.

Development of active noise control ventilation tube (능동 소음 제어 통풍관의 개발)

  • 소음은 환경 오염원의 하나로서 사람에게 육체적, 정신적 피해를 발생시킨다. 이에 소음 제어 기술의 필요성이 증대하였고, 그 중에서 제어가 까다롭고 고비용을 요구하는 저주파 소음 제어 기술의 개발이 확대되고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 저주파의 주기적인 특성을 가지는 1차원 평면파 소음에 대한 능동 제어를 위해 기존의 적응 피드포워드 방법의 단점을 보완하는 적응 피드백 방법을 이용한 능동 소음 제어 시스템을 구성하고 능동 소음 제어 실험을 수행하였다. 이를 위해 소음원과 제어 음원을 가지는 덕트 형상의 실험 장치를 구성하였다. 제어기 설계를 위해 전파 소음을 예측하는 선형 예측법을 적용한 적응 디지털 필터를 구성하였으며 적응 알고리즘으로 Filtered-X LMS 알고리즘을 이용하였다. 제어기는 제어 알고리즘을 프로그램화하여 DSP에 입력함으로써 구성하였다. 실험에 사용된 소음은 500[Hz] 이하의 단일 주파수의 정현파 소음을 사용하였으며, 실험결과 음압 감소의 효과를 볼 수 있었다. 능동 소음 제어의 기술을 개발하여 하드웨어(덕트)의 모양 및 구조, 제어기의 종류 및 처리 속도, 주파수나 크기와 같은 특성이 급격히 변하는 소음의 경우에 능동적으로 소음을 제어할 수 있으며, 저주파 소음을 발생시키는 관형 연소기와 같은 장치 및 여러 분야에 응용이 가능하도록 하였다.

Electromagnetic Pulse Coupling into Naval Warship and Protective Measures (해군 함정에서의 EMP 영향 및 대책)

  • The high-altitude electromagnetic pulse(HEMP) generated by a high-altitude nuclear explosion. This paper presents the comparison of electric field penetration in Bell laboratories and IEC 61000-2-9 standard when HEMP source penetrates through Naval Warship conducted coupling path and radiated coupling path. Also we analyze the effects of two kinds of coupling and propose Protective measures. Simulation results confirm IEC 61000-2-9 standard is more strict than the Bell Laboratories standard except for a lower frequency band, so we proposed IEC 61000-2-9 standard as a Naval HEMP standard. Finally, we offer the protective measures such as the shielding coating, Honeycomb ventilation, TVS in order to meet the military criteria.
