A Study on Low Noise Cooling/Ventilation System for Large Electric Motor (대형 전동기 냉각/통풍 시스템의 저소음화 연구)

  • 대형 전동기의 주요 소음원은 전자기 소음과 냉각/통풍 시스템 소음이며, 이 중 냉각/통풍 시스템이 전체 소음에 큰 영향을 미친다. 본 논문에서는 대형 전동기의 저소음 냉각/통풍 시스템 개발을 위해 저소음 냉각 팬을 개발하고 팬 커버 내부의 유로를 개선하였다. 유동해석은 상용 CFD 소프트웨어를 이용하였으며 팬 커버 내의 scroll 형상 및 air guide, baffle 의 유무에 따라 팬 커버의 압력손실을 계산하였다. 해석을 통해 팬 커버 내부의 난류 유동과 압력손실이 가장 작은 팬 커버 형상을 도출하였으며 개선된 냉각/통풍 시스템이 기존 냉각/통풍 시스템보다 6.5dB 감소된 것을 확인하였다.

The study for the aerodynamic effects of air-shafts in the railway tunnel (철도터널 통풍공의 공기역학적 성능에 대한 연구)

  • The purpose of present study is to investigate for reducing pressure fluctuations in the case of installing the air-shafts on the side wall of the tunnel with small cross-sectional area on conventional line. Experiments were performed with a 1/61-scale moving model rig for the tunnel of 0.764 km length in the condition of tunnel cross-section area of $28 m^2$. According to the results, the maximum pressure fluctuation is reduced by 45 % for 19 air-shafts. This results have the speed-up effects of about 33.4 km/h for the train running in tunnel.

  • Purpose of the present study is to investigate the aerodynamic performances of air-shafts with different inner diameters in a single track tunnel for reducing pressure fluctuations and micro pressure waves. Three configurations of air-shafts with different inner diameters were examined for comparison of aerodynamic performances. Experiments were performed with a 1/61-scale moving model rig for the tunnel of 0.764 km length and the train of 4 cars per 1 unit. The results showed the reduction effect of the maximum pressure fluctuations in tunnel and micro-pressure waves radiating towards the surroundings from the tunnel exit according to the increase of the diameter of 10 air-shafts spaced equally.

  • 초고층 공동주택에 설치되는 주방 및 욕실의 배기를 외부로 배출하는 방법은 공용유도관로인 수직덕트를 설치하고 그 상부말단에 하이브리드 루프팬의(hybrid roof fan)이 설치하는 것이다. 하이브리드 루프팬의 기능은 자연통풍력이 약한 하절기는 강제적으로 루프팬에 의해 구동하고 자연배기를 수행할 수 있을 정도로 자연통풍력이 큰 동절기는 루프팬을 운전하지 않는 기능을 보유하도록 유도하는 것이다. 본 고는 이러한 하이브리드 루프팬의 운전조건을 53층 높이의 임의 공동주택에 대해, 수직덕트의 선정한 후, 제시하고자 한다.

  • In this paper, vibration characteristics after applying variable speed control to fans with a rated speed used in a power plant are studied by performing experiments and analyzing finite element models. Then the campbell diagram is presented to verify the reason of the abnormal vibration measured from fan structure during variable operation of Forced Draft Fan & Induced Draft Fan. According to results, it is found that amplitude of acceleration increases abruptly when a 2X harmonic component meets the natural frequency of fan rotor. Therefore it is very important thing that investigate exactly dynamic characteristics for the rotor at variable speed zone before applying variable speed control to a rotor with a rated speed.

  • Recently, the large capacity draft fans in power plants had been changed to variable speed type to educe the power consumption. But the fan experienced the unexpected vibration at specific speed regions. In this study, the high vibration frequency of the fan was confirmed and the natural frequency of the rotor were measured and analyzed by FEM programs. It was analyzed that the vibration was caused by the resonance at the frequency, 30.7Hz. So, the rotor vibration characteristic was changed by adjusting the distance between the shaft bearings. It was conformed the high vibration was disappeared over the all operation speeds.

The Milling Characteristics of Cutting Type Rice Milling Machine Depending on the Number of a Cutting Roller's Air Vent and Blowing Velocity (절삭식 정미기의 절삭롤러 통풍구 수와 송풍속도에 따른 정백특성)

  • This study aimed to identify milling characteristics depending on the number of a cutting roller's air vent and blowing velocity to remove rice bran by the cutting type milling machine which can minimize the conventional milling process. The level of whiteness was found to be $38{\pm}0.5$ in all the conditions, showing consistent whiteness levels during milling. The rice temperatures turned out to be 15.4 and $14.6^{\circ}C$ which were rather low-level under the conditions of the cutting roller with 3 vents and blowing velocities of 35 and 40 m/s respectively. Cracked rice ratio was 2.13% under the conditions of the cutting roller with 3 vents and a blowing velocity of 35 m/s. Broken rice ratio showed the range of 0.762-0.869%, reflecting a low level. Turbidity after milling was decreased, as blowing velocity became faster. Energy consumption for milled rice production was decreased, as blowing velocity became faster. The optimum milling condition for cutting type milling machine depending on air vent number of cutting roller and blowing velocity was found to be 3 vents and 35 m/s.

Thermal Fluid Flow and Deformation Analysis of Medium Commercial Vehicle Ventilated Brake Disc in Braking (중형 상용차 통풍형 브레이크 디스크의 제동 시 열 유동 및 변형 해석)

  • Domestic automobile companies have adopted drum type brake system for commercial vehicles. However recently those companies have been applying disc-brake system to solve vehicle control-instability and inefficient heat discharge performance of conventional drum brake system for a medium commercial vehicle. Because the kinetic energy of a running commercial vehicle is relatively high, the brake system should discharge lots of heat energy while braking. A ventilated type brake disc has been used to increase heat discharge performance of a brake system. The vent structure of a disc highly affects cooling efficiency. This paper compares thermal characteristics of three types of vent structure in JASO C421 braking condition. It is found that the slant bend type disc has the lowest temperature and thermal stress distributions in the braking condition.
