This study was designed to establish the time frame of viability and infectivity of Cryptosporidium, when the Cryptosporidium is discharged to the aquatic environment. Changes in viability and infectivity of Cryptosporidium in relation to temperature and pH were investigated during winter (Dec 05-Feb 06) using semipermeable cellulose tubes containing infective Cryptosporidium. Infectivity was maintained at 50% after 30 days and almost completely lost after 50 days. It was also established that viability was maintained at about 8% after 90 days.

The purpose of this work is to suggest a new non-contact damage detection method for rotating ferromagnetic shafts. The presence and the location of a damage in rotating shafts are assessed by means of longitudinal elastic waves propagating along the shafts. These waves are measured by non-contact magnetostrictive sensors consisting of a coil and bias magnets. This paper shows the effectiveness of the sensors in the damage detection of rotating shafts. Several issues occurring in the application of the sensors to rotating shafts are carefully investigated.

Ubiquitous computing 환경에서 휴대용 단말기는 중요한 위치를 차지하고 새로운 Interface와의 연결을 통해 다양한 어플리케이션이 생성하게 된다. 본 논문에서는 휴대용 단말기와 칼라코드 인터페이스를 이용하여서 새로운 형태의 온-오프라인 통합 상거래 서비스 시스템을 제안하고자 한다. 휴대용 단말기를 이용해서 오프라인 쇼핑의 눈으로 볼 수 있다는 정과 온라인 쇼핑의 장바구니 기능과 검색기능을 합친 새로운 형태의 쇼핑을 지원하는 시스템이다. 사용자는 물건의 칼라코드를 인식함으로써 물건의 내역을 입력받고 전자 결제를 사용함으로써 손쉽게 결제할 수 있는 장점을 얻게 되고 대형마켓에서는 인력 절감과 편리한 서비스를 제공한다는 장점이 있다.

A high-performance liquid chromatographic method for the determination of ${\beta}$-sitosterol in the unsaponifiable fraction of Zea mays L. and its related drug preparations using a cholesterol as an internal standard was investigated. They were saponified with 20% methanolic KOH solution. Phytosterols in the reaction mixture were extracted with diethyl ether and separated on silica gel TLC plate with n-hexane-diethyl ether(40:60) as the solvent and then were scraped off. They were separated by reversed phase high perfomance liquid chromatography on Inertsil ODS-2 column with detection at 205nm. Cholesterol and ${\beta}$-sitosterol were resolved from interferences by adjusting the acetonitrile content in the MeOH-tetrahydrofuran-$H_2O$ eluent. The detection limit of ${\beta$-sitosterol was 0.43${\mu}$g.

In general, there are 3 subjects of discussion in education field; namely past, present and future. Related with those facts, there is several information or knowledge that relatively hard to be presented in the real world. In this matter, digital content shows its contribution especially in the education field. Digital content can virtually represent the information or knowledge that seems to be difficult to be visualized in the real world before. In this project, researcher develops a mobile device's application that consist the skeleton's 3D virtual content. This application is expected to solve the above explained problem that usually appears during learning human skeleton in senior high-school's biology class. Besides, the application of digital content will make the learning process become easier because the student will have a visual learning tool. Last, the mobile device that is used in this prototype has offer an important beneficial namely mobility beneficial, so that the user can access the content anytime and anywhere.

이동통신 가입자의 폭발적인 신장세와 더불어 발전하는 이동통신기술의 놀라운 발전은 유비큐토스(Ubiquitous)라는 새로운 용어를 창출하며 새로운 기술의 영역에 놀라운 속도로 다가서고 있다. 하지만 이러한 성장세와 기술적 발전에도 불구하고 기지국 안테나의 위치제원(높이, Swing 각도, Tilting 각도)의 측정 및 설치 문제가 아직까지 극복되지 못한 낙후 영역으로 존재하고 있었다. 본 고에서는 RF 무선환경 예측 프로그램 및 안테나 구축 그리고 RF운영 최적화에 필수 불가결한 필요한 안테나 위치 제원에 대한 전자동 측정 시스템 기술 구현 및 기대 효과 등에 대해 기술한다.

The most profound technologies are those that disappear. Silicon-based information technology, in contrast, is far from having become part of the environment. The idea of integrating computers seamlessly into the world at large runs counter to a number of present-day trends. Ubiquitous computing is not just aiming nomad multimedia. Rather, this computing environment lets us free to use computers without thinking and so to focus beyond them on new goals. In that context, Mom is such a fundamental membrane through which humans can interact with the environment. An embodied interaction paradigm, based on Mom, is investigated. Mom, space. sensing/perception, ubiquitous computing, and interactive technology are some of the key ideas to explore.

이 연구에서는 카발리에리가 제시한 두 가지 불가분량법 사이의 전환에 대해 고찰한다. 불가분량법 사용에 대한 반대에 대응하기 위해, 카발리에리는 그가 처음 제시했던 불가분량법을 수정하였다. 이 과정에 대한 분석을 통해, 이 연구에서는 카발리에리가 불가분량과 관련된 패러독스를 피하기 위해 도형의 밀도를 반영하는 방향으로 불가분량법을 바꾸었다는 면과 함께, 라카토스의 이론에 근거해, 이러한 전환이 불완전한 보조정리 합체법으로서의 특정을 지니고 있음을 밝힌다.

In order to identify various Cryptosporidium species in environment, nested PCR-RFLP and DNA sequencing method were used. The sensitivity of nested PCR-RFLP based on 18s rRNA gene was shown to 1 oocyst. Therefore, we applied nested PCR-RFLP method to environmental samples. As a result, only 4 samples out of 8 samples confirmed as Cryptosporidium parvum by standard method of Cryptosporidium were identified as Cryptosporidium parvum by nested PCR-RFLP and DNA sequencing method. The rest of 4 samples among 8 samples were identified as Cryptosporidium muris, Cryptosporidium bailey. Therefore, in addition to standard method of Cryptosporidium, supplementary verification through nested PCR-RFLP and DNA sequencing should be needed to give more accurate information about risk of Cryptosporidium.

유비퀴토스 환경에서 기존의 일반 콘텐츠는 다양한 사용자의 단말기 특성과 선호도, 네트워크 특성등을 고려하여 원본 콘텐츠를 콘텐츠 리퍼포징(Contents Repurporsing)하여 사용자에게 적응적으로 제공될 필요가 있다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 ICDN은 기존의 CDN 기술과 OPES 구조 및 ICAP 표준 인터페이스를 이용하여 콘텐츠 리퍼포징 서비스를 지원하기 위한 네트워크 프레임워크를 제공한다. ICDN은 콘텐츠 서버가 사용자에게 콘텐츠 리퍼포징 서비스를 제공하기 보다는 사용자와 인접해 있는 네트워크 구성요소가 콘텐츠 리퍼포징 서비스를 제공하기 때문에 보다 효율적인 네트워크 서비스 지원이 가능하다.
