  • 출판계는 텔레비전의 힘과 전통, 그리고 영향력을 생각해야 한다. 편집자들도 텔레비전이 책을 더 광범위한 수용자들에게 도달하도록 도움을 줄 수 있다는 점을 인정해야 한다. 책과 텔레비전의 만남이 언제나 행복한 것은 아니지만, 책을 쓰거나 출판하건, 혹은 그것을 텔레비전 문예물로 만들건, 책의 세계에서 우리는 같은 편이다.

Television Viewing in the Post-TV Era: An In-depth Interview Study of Young People's Television Experiences (포스트 TV 시대의 텔레비전 시청 경험에 관한 질적 연구: 20대들과의 심층 인터뷰를 중심으로)

  • Over the last ten years, media convergence and multiple platform expansion have affected the ways that people watch conventional television. In the post-TV era, the growing use of the Internet and mobile multi-media devices, such as smart phones, as well as the availability of abundant television content, allows television consumption to be more personalized, diversified, and linked with various media activities, especially social media uses. This study attempts to examine how television viewing experiences have been transformed with the development of the trans-media uses. Based on Walter J. Ong's concept of relation-ism, which posits that new media transform the meanings and relevance of old media rather than making old media obsolete, this study will pay particular attention to how the cultural meanings of television viewing have been redefined in the post-TV era. For the examination, this study has looked at concrete cases of the television viewing experiences of 29 young people in their twenties. Based on in-depth interview data, this study discusses the newly emerging characteristics of television viewing, its temporal and spatial experiences, and the significance of television as a medium and as a social place.

  • tele는 그리스어로 '멀리', vision은 라틴어로‘본다’는 뜻이다. 1931년 미국에서 첫 시험방송이 시작되었고, 1937년에 영국의 BBC 방송국이 세계 최초로 흑백텔레비전 방송을 시작하였다. 한국은 1956년 5월 12일 세계에서 15번째로 TV전파를 발사하였다. 이러한 흑백텔레비전을 시작으로 예전과는 달리 요즘 가정에서는 대다수가 컬러텔레비전(color television)을 시청한다. 이번에는 몇 호에 걸쳐서 이러한 컬러텔레비전의 구조 및 원리 등에 대하여 알아볼까 한다. 먼저 발광의 원리, 방송의 구성, 수상기 및 튜너 등에 대하여 알아보고, 더 나아가 HDTV(High Definition Television : HDTV) 의 구조 및 원리에 대해서도 알아보도록 하겠다.

  • Companies, to establish a proper brand image of it, and to appeal to consumers effectively, mobilize advertisement and other publicity means through various communication media. In terms of access rates and degrees of interest of viewers among broadcast media, television is higher than other important media such as radio, newspaper, magazine, and DMB, etc. Since consumers get access to much commercials on television, television commercial activities of companies ultimately have effect on their brand images. Thus, this study, focusing on the screen image expression types among all the expression types of television commercials, examined what brand images consumers favor, and sought to know what characteristics in television commercials in Korea works as important factors in the formation of brand images.

  • 본 논문은 선도기술개발 2단계 사업의 하나인 주문형 반도체 개발과제에서 개발되는 고선명 텔레비전 수상기에 관한 내용으로 현재 방송되고 있는 아날로그 전송 방식인 칼라 텔레비전에 비해 약 4배 이상의 비디오 해상도와 5.1채널의 오디오 음질을 서비스하는 규격을 중심으로 개발하고 있으며 본 과제는 고선명 텔레비전의 전송, 오류정정 복호, 역 다중화, 비디오 복원 및 오디오 복원에 필요한 주문형 반도체를 개발한다.

Measurement of digital television loudness (디지털 텔레비전 라우드니스 측정)

  • The dynamic range of the loudness after digitalization of television broadcasting is enlarged, and the loudness difference between the broadcast channel and between the programs within the same channel is expanded. This was subjected to interfere with the television viewer's comfort. In order to improve these problems international standards for the loudness normalization was established in ITU, Europe, USA and Japan. This regulation was introduced to Korea also as technical regulation, and this will apply the broadcast service in June 2016. In this paper, ahead of the introduction of digital television technology based on loudness measurement for the major television channel and to present the results of the comparison of technical standard.

  • This research investigated which evaluation factors in children's television animation programs children between 7 and 11 years of age value. We collected data by means of questionnaires among 120 children of elementary school first through fourth graders. As research result, the most important evaluation factors for children were fun and action, closely followed by innocuousness, purity, realism, comprehensibility, and violence respectively. Boys in both samples attached more value to fun and action in a children's television animation, whereas girls in both samples attached more value to innocuousness and fun.

  • Purpose: This study was done to develop a prevention program for media addiction in elementary school students, and to examine its effects on television addiction, internet addiction, cellular phone addiction, and impulsiveness. Methods: The study was designed using a nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design. The participants were 58 elementary school students (29 in the experimental group and 29 in the control group). Students in the experimental group were given the prevention program for media addiction. The data were analyzed using the SPSS/WIN 19.0 program. Results: Students in the experimental group reported a significant decrease in television addiction compared to students in the control group. Conclusion: The results of the study indicate that the prevention program for media addiction was effective in decreasing television addiction in elementary school students.
