Export Yard Planning System Integrated with Yard Monitoring System in Container Terminal (장치장 모니터링 시스템과 통합된 효율적인 수출 장치장 계획 시스템)

  • Because yard monitoring system is a part of real-time operation system and yard planning system, most planers, in container terminal, Busan Port, can not consider real-time and exact yard situation and container information such as position of equipments or movement of container with current planning system when export yard planning os established. Therefore, many planers recognize the limit of current planning system and try to find the solution to get over it. The reason of this, heuristic algorithms for the export yard the limit of current planning ,operating on monitoring system, are suggested and integrated export yard planning system is designed and developed in this paper.

  • Python은 통합 개발 환경이 구축되어 있지 않아 Python을 이용해 개발하는 경우 대부분 Vi 혹은 Emacs 같은 텍스트 편집기를 이용해 코딩을 하고 다시 터미널 혹은 콘솔로 나와 일일이 디버깅을 해야만 한다. 게다가 import 한 모듈의 API에 대해서 알고 싶으면 Python Interpreter에서 다시 봐야 하는 등 상당한 불편함이 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 한 화면에서 편집, 컴파일, 수행결과 보기, 디버거 등을 수행할 수 있는 Python 통합 개발 환경을 구축하였다.

  • 현재의 정보처리시스템은 대형 컴퓨터 중심의 중앙 집중형 처리 환경, 클라이언트/서버의 분산처리시스템에서 웹 환경의 인트라넷 환경으로 빠르게 변화하고 있다. 인트라넷 환경은 웹 브라우저라는 사용자 중심의 통합된 환경, TCP/IP, HTTP, HTML, XML 등의 표준화 된 기술을 사용한 플랫폼 독립적인 사용환경 비용의 효율성, 확장 및 유지보수의 용이성 등을 제공한다. 그러나 현재 사용중인 호스트 환경을 완전히 무시하고, 인트라넷 환경을 구축한다는 것은 매우 비현실적이다. 따라서 기존 환경은 그대로 유지하면서 인트라넷을 구축하기 위한 방법이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 사용중인 기존 시스템은 전혀 변경하지 않고 호스트의 터미널 환경과 웹 브라우저 환경을 통합하는데 필요한 기능함수들을 정의하고, 이들을 이용하여 구현되는 호스트/웹 통합 미들웨어 시스템을 설계하였다.

  • As international trade has been increased, the competition of major ports is getting hard. The objective of this competition is that to get more cargoes, so port managements and operators are struggling to obtain cargoes. In addition the competition structure has classified several forms bemuse of specialization, integration and subdivision of port players. In this paper, therefore, we analyze the change of competition structure by port players' development characteristics. In the result of this study, competition structure is divided into five groups as among nations, among ports, among container terminal operation companies, among global container terminal operation companies and among container terminal operation companies operated by shipping companies. And they have showed not only competition but also co-operation partly in order to get strategic position.

Suggestions for Building Coast-Inland Linkage Transport System to Promote Island Tourism (도서관광 활성화를 위한 연안-내륙 연계교통체계 구축 방향)

  • Recently, there has been a noticeable increase in the number of tourists in islands that are well-known for their natural landscapes. It is expected that this number will go up steadily, due to the increase in per capita income and leisure time. Regarding tourism transportation, utilizing linkage transport between coastal passenger terminal and inland transport system is crucial. However, the existing system does not measure up to the expectations. This is attributable to the fact that the distances between coastal passenger terminals and inland transportation terminals are too far. Also, the current public transportation system lacks support and needs to take the role of connecting the two terminals. This study shows how coast-inland linkage transport system should be reformed in order to promote island tourism. It focuses on building linkage transport system and minimizing walking distance. Also, adjusting passenger ship schedule to the characteristics of island tourism is needed. For the sake of passengers, coastal passenger ship fare should be reduced, and integrated transport information should be provided.

항만 물류 통합 데이터베이스의 구축방안

  • 항만에는 다양한 조직이 물류 기능을 수행하기 위해 화물관련 데이터베이스를 독 자적으로 보유·운영하고 있다. 선사는 화물선적예약 및 선적 데이터, 컨테이너터미널은 컨 테이너 반 출입 및 q관 데이터, 관세청의 통관시스템(CAMIS)은 통관 및 적하 목록 데이터, 해앙 수산청의 항만운영정보시스템(POST-MIS)은 선박 및 입출항 데이터 등을 가지고 있 다. 이들 데이터는 개별 조직 내에 각 조직의 활동을 원활하게 수행할 수 있도록 구조화 및 코드화 되어 있지만 조직간 연계가 되어 있지 않아 여러 가지 문제점을 야기하고 있다. 따 라서 본 연구에서는 컨테이너 화물을 중심으로 한 항만 물류 유관 조직들이 보유하고 있는 시스템의 문제점을 조명하고 나아가 항만 물류 통합 데이터베이스의 구조 및 역할을 정의하 였으며 새로운 항만물류시스템과 통합데이터베이스 구축을 위한 전략을 제시하였다.

  • 본 연구에서는 생산현장에서 시시각각으로 발생하는 생산정보를 그 발생원 인 기계, 설비, 작업자, 워크 등에서 직접적으로 수집하고, 정보처리하여 실 시간으로 관리측에 제공할 수 있는 POP(Point of Production) 시스템 개발을 목표로 생산정보발생원과 인터페이스되어 실시간적인 정보수집, 처리를 지원 하는 POP 터미널의 기능을 설계하였다. 또한 통합생산시스템을 유연하게 최 적화 운영 할 수 있도록 계획사이드와의 정보통신 등을 제공하는 모듈화된 POP시스템 운영체계의 설계와 Firmware화를 실시하였다.

A Case Study of Automation Management System of Damaged Container in the Port Gate (항만 게이트의 데미지 컨테이너 관리 자동화 시스템 구축 사례연구)

  • As container vessels get larger, container terminals are also likely to grow. The problem that arises is that the growing volume should be handled in the same amount of time as before. Container terminals are introducing an automation system in order to overcome the limitations of existing manual methods and to continuously reduce operating expenses. Because, Manual handling of carrying containers gate in and out of terminals causes inaccurate data, which results in confusion. An alternative is for containers to be labeled with barcodes that can be scanned into a system with a scanner, but this takes quite a long time and is inconvenient. A RFID system, also known as a gate automation system, can solve these problems by reducing the time of gate management with a technology that detects number identification plates, helping operators more efficiently perform gate management work. Having said that, with this system, when container damage is detected, gate operators make and keep documents manually. These documents, which are insufficient evidence in proving container damage, result in customer claims. In addition, it is difficult for gate operators and other workers to manage containers, exposing them to danger and accidents. This study suggests that if an automation system is introduced at gates, containers can be managed by a video storage system in order to better document damage The video system maintains information on container damage, allowing operators the ability to search for videos they need upon customer request, also allowing them to be better prepared for customer claims. In addition, this system reduces necessary personnel and risk of accidents near gates by integrating a wide range of work.

A Plan to Promote Jeonnam Region's Port Logistics through Establishment of a Logistics Network (물류네트워크 구축을 통한 전남권 항만물류 활성화 방안)

  • This paper outlines a plan to promote South Jeonnam region's logistics capability in connection with the regional logistics bases such as Gwangyang Port, Jangseong Integrated Freight Terminal, Mokpo Port and Muan International Airport. The capability of regional innovation bodies, and industrial innovation generally, needs to be improved by establishing a systematic regional innovation plan. Smaller import and export logistics bases, presently scattered in downtown Gwangju and its suburban area, need to be integrated as soon as possible, in advance of the completion of a traffic network connecting all of the triangle logistics bases. Moreover, plans to develop Muan International Airport to the status of a hub airport need to be established, and its function as an air freight terminal should be strengthened. Gwangyang Port and Mokpo Port should be developed as Korea's key harbors with international logistics bases the two ports, presently conducting simple cargo work, should be transformed into general logistics ports conducting logistics, assembling, trading, and international business by developing their surrounding areas.

  • Due to the massive increase of data that should be managed, the problems in data quality management have been issued. In addition the lack of integrated management of the data causes duplication of data, low qualify services, and, missing data. To overcome these problems, this study attempts to examine the way of the data qualify management. To do this, metadata was defined, and its current management status in various view points was analyzed, and finally the metadata management was applied to the container terminal. for the "A" container terminal, we performed data standardization, and reflected major constraints and developed the pilot metadata repository. The contributions of this study are in improvement of the data qualify in the container terminal, and its practical application with metadata management method. Limitations of this study is its partial implementation of the metadata management to the company and interoperability of the metadata management for business to business data integration for the future research.
