Currently, major foreign countries such as Europe, the United States, Japan, and China have established policy and technology goals by 2050 to achieve the hydrogen economy. In line with this, Korea is also preparing to leap forward as a leading country in the world's best hydrogen economy by establishing a technology development target by 2050. In this paper, by examining and analyzing domestic and foreign policy and technology trends to date, implications for domestic hydrogen policy and technology trends are discussed, and major issues and future contents are summarized.
Carbon neutrality has been suggested to overcome the global climate crisis caused by global climate change. Hydrogen energy is a major way to achieve carbon neutrality, and the developments and policies of hydrogen technology have been proposed to achieve this goal. To commercialize hydrogen energy resources, it is necessary to understand the overall value chain composed of hydrogen production, storage, and utilization and to present the direction of technological developments. In this paper the hydrogen strategies of major countries, including Europe, the United States, Japan, China, and South Korea will be analyzed, and hydrogen technologies by value chain will also be explain. This paper will contribute to understanding the overall hydrogen policy and technology, as both policy and technology are summarized.

Since the climate problem getting severe, carbon neutrality is rising global issue. The limestone powder addition that can substitute clinker in cement is look forward to get positive effect as filler. This study focus on the effect of limestone powder chemical characteristic on mortar workability and compressive strength. Consequently, regardless of type of limestone and subsitution amount, the compressive strength was lower then OPC. But the workability of limestone composite cement showed higher then OPC. Considering latter strength development, using unit water decreasing effect of limestone composite cement is planned further.

This study focuses on investigating the importance of managing greenhouse gas emissions from global energy consumption, specifically examining domestic targets for clean hydrogen production. Using life cycle assessment, we evaluated reductions in global warming potential and assessed the carbon neutrality contribution of the domestic hydrogen sector. Transitioning from brown or grey hydrogen to blue or green hydrogen can significantly reduce emissions, potentially lowering CO2 equivalent levels by 2030 and 2050. These research findings underscore the effectiveness of clean hydrogen as an energy management strategy and offer valuable insights for technology development.

This study analyzed methodologies for estimating carbon stocks of perennial woody crops and the research cases in overseas countries. As a result, we found that Australia, Bulgaria, Canada, and Japan are using the stock-difference method, while Austria, Denmark, and Germany are estimating the change in the carbon stock based on the gain-loss method. In some overseas countries, the researches were conducted on estimating the carbon stock change using image data as tier 3 phase beyond the research developing country-specific factors as tier 2 phase. In South Korea, convergence studies as the third stage were conducted in forestry field, but advanced research in the agricultural field is at the beginning stage. Based on these results, we suggest directions for the following four future researches: 1) securing national-specific factors related to emissions and removals in the agricultural field through the development of allometric equation and carbon conversion factors for perennial woody crops to improve the completeness of emission and removals statistics, 2) implementing policy studies on the cultivation area calculation refinement with fruit tree-biomass-based maturity, 3) developing a more advanced estimation technique for perennial woody crops in the agricultural sector using allometric equation and remote sensing techniques based on the agricultural and forestry satellite scheduled to be launched in 2025, and to establish a matrix and monitoring system for perennial woody crop cultivation areas in the agricultural sector, Lastly, 4) estimating soil carbon stocks change, which is currently estimated by treating all agricultural areas as one, by sub-land classification to implement a dynamic carbon cycle model. This study suggests a detailed guideline and advanced methods of carbon stock change calculation for perennial woody crops, which supports 2050 Carbon Neutral Strategy of Ministry of Agriculture, Food, and Rural Affairs and activate related research in agricultural sector.
This study undertook initial investigations into the carbonation of chlorine bypass dust, aiming to apply it as a raw material for cement and as an admixture for concrete. Various experimental methods, including XRD(X-ray diffraction), XRF(X-ray fluorescence), and particle size distribution analyses, were employed to verify the physical and chemical properties of chlorine bypass dust, with and without water washing. The mineral carbonation extent of chlorine bypass dust was examined by considering the dust type, stirring temperature, and experiment duration. Notably, a higher degree of mineral carbonation was observed in water-washed bypass dust than its non-water-washed counterpart, indicating an elevated calcium content in the former. Furthermore, an augmented stirring temperature positively impacted the initial stages of mineral carbonation. However, divergent outcomes were observed over time, contingent upon the specific characteristics of dust types under consideration.

In this study, various experimental parameters were investigated for high-purity C3A synthesis. As a results of experiment, it was verified that the calcined temperature was the most important parameter for the synthesis of high-purity C3A. In addition, more synthesis time was needed when large amount of C3A synthesis to achieve high-purity. Meanwhile, the C3A blended with CaCO3 showed different reaction products compared to normal cement because C15 and C30 had monocarbocaluminate as a reaction product at early stage of hydration. Furthermore, the production amount and formation rate of monocarboaluminate formation was different varying with the CaCO3 a mounts.
