The Influence of Ground Vibration Caused by Pile Driving on Power Line Tower Foundation (항타 진동이 송전탑 기초에 미치는 영향 연구)

  • Ground vibrations caused by pile driving or explosive blasting can affect the stability of power line tower and its foundation. Because the characteristics of ground vibrations generally depend on the distances from the blast, the ground vibrations should be controlled by taking the distance into account. In this study, ground vibration levels were measured at the foundation of a power line tower and on ground surface adjacent to the tower. The relationships between the dominant frequencies of the ground vibrations that were measured at both locations were comparatively investigated.

  • CGI is gaining popularity in applications that require either greater strength, or lower weight than cast iron. Recently, compacted graphite iron has been used for diesel engine blocks, turbo housings and exhaust manifolds. This paper were assessed acoustic emission characteristics according to the mechanical properties change of degraded CGI340 during 1-24 hours at 873~1173 K. In results of pencil lead fracture test, the dominant frequency and the velocity of base metal were 97 kHz and 5490 m/sec, respectively. The base metal in a tensile test was obtained relatively high dominant frequency. However, the heat treated materials, the longer the heat treatment time, the higher the heat treatment temperature, were obtained in the area of lower frequencies. This phenomenon appears by long-term use.

  • It is difficult to clarify the dynamic response characteristics of trackbed because of various environmental conditions. However, track irregularity be affected by ununiformed bearing capacity and its dynamic response, study for dynamic response characteristics is required to investigate the cause of track irregularity and countermeasure. In this paper, the response variation for dominant frequency and vibration energy by trackbed structure and material stiffness are investigated. The analysis section is two layered ground structure that is comprised of trackbed and soft rock. This structure amplifies the energy of dominant range easily. It is evaluated to affect track irregularity on comparing by theoritical, analytical and empirical method for dynamic response of the trackbed.

Characteristics of Elastic Wave Generated by Wear and Friction of SiCf/SiC Composites (SiCf/SiC 복합재의 마모 및 마찰에 의해 발생된 탄성파 특성)

  • The wear characteristics of $SiC_f$/SiC composites were evaluated according to the alignment direction of the fibers, and the elastic wave-generated friction was detected and analyzed in wearing. The friction coefficient and wear loss were similar in the longitudinal and the transverse direction of the fibers. However, these values were lower in the vertical direction of the fibers because of the brittle nature of the fiber. The friction coefficient and the wear loss were directly proportional to each other. The dominant frequencies were 58.6 kHz for monolithic SiC and 117.2 and 136.7 kHz for $SiC_f$/SiC composites, respectively.

  • 테라헤르츠(THz) 대역은 중적외선(mid-IR)과 밀리미터파(millimeter wave) 사이의 증가 주파수 영역으로서, 다른 전자기파 대역에 비하여 개발 및 활용이 극히 미흡하지만 기존의 전자기파로는 얻어낼 수 없는 탁월한 기능, 즉 통신에 필요한 초고속 광대역, 신기능 센싱 및 새로운 영상정보 등을 제공한다. 이러한 THz 기술이 발전함에 따라 초고속 근거리 무선통신과 함께 센싱 및 영상기술은 생화학 및 의료공학적인 검사와 측정 등 여러 분아에 걸쳐 대단한 영향을 미치고 있다. 그러나 현재의 THz 시스템 기기는 규모가 큰 편이어서 실험실 등 실내 용도로 한정된 상태이다. 이동이 가능한(mobile) 소형화한 THz 시스템은 그 활용범위를 크게 넓힐 수 있으며 새로운 시장을 창출할 수 있다.

  • 컴퓨터나 정밀기기기의 빈번한 운용으로 배전선 반송통신 시스템의 신뢰도는 그 어느 때보다 크게 요구된다. 배전선에 나타나는 여러 종류의 잡음은 반송통신 정보를 쉽게 오염시켜 전체 시스템에 큰 영향을 미치게 된다. 본 논문에서는 평활 잡음과 60[Hz] 전원 주파수에 동기된 고조파 잡음제거를 위해 LMS와 NLMS알고리즘을 이용한 적응필터를 사용하였고 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 수행해 본 결과 신호 대 잡음비의 관점에서 LMS보다 NLMS의 탁월한 효과를 확인하였다.

  • Blast-vibration tests were carried out to determine the effects of the number of free face on the level of blast vibration. Frequency chatacteristics were also examined by using FFT analysis. To check the effects of the number of free face, charge weight per delay, drilling length, burden and space were applied uniformly and the number of free face was only changed from one to four. The results from tests were checked by regression analysis and K-value.

  • 본 연구에서는 시프트 레지스터와 고정 주파수의 삼각파를 사용하고 있는 종전의 Random PWM기법의 스펙트럼 특성을 개선시키기 위한 방법을 제시하고 있다. 제안된 방법은 시프트 레지스터의 lead-lag 랜덤비트를 사용한다는 점에서 종전의 방법과 동일하나, 이와 논리적 비교를 하기 위한 랜덤 주파수의 삼각파를 이용한다는 점에서 종전의 방법과 다르다. 따라서 제안된 방법은 랜덤 펄스 위치 PWM의 특징과 랜덤 스위칭 PWM의 특징을 모두 갖고 있다. 본 연구의 타당성을 확인하기 위하여 인버터 기반의 3상 유도모터 구동시스템에 제안된 방법을 적용하였다. 그 결과 종전의 방법에 비하여 인버터 구동 유도모터의 전압 및 전류의 고조파 스펙트럼의 광대역화에 탁월한 효과가 있음을 입증할 수 있었다.

High Frequency Signal Analysis of LOx Pump for Liquid Rocket Engine under Cavitating Condition (캐비테이션 환경에서의 액체로켓엔진용 산화제펌프의 고주파 신호 분석)

  • High frequency signals are analyzed which are measured at the inlet / outlet pipeline and pump casing during cavitation tests of the LOx pump for the liquid rocket engine. RMS values of data are shown according to the cavitation number. RMS values of the synchronous frequency, its harmonic frequencies and frequencies of cavitation instabilities are also calculated. The pressure pulsations of the inlet and outlet pipeline are affected by cavitation instabilities. 3x component is predominant in the outlet pulsation sensor since 3x component generated at the inducer is amplified at the impeller. The cavitation instability is also found at the accelerometer signal of the casing.

Acoustic resonance by Inserting Anti-noise Baffle in the Tube Bank of Boiler of a Large Fossil Power Plant (대형석탄화력발전용 보일러 관군의 Anti-Noise Baffle 설치에 따른 음향공진)

  • This paper presents phenomena of vibration and noise due to acoustic resonance in tube bank of a large fossil power plant. The phenomena of acoustic resonance may arise when the vortex shedding frequency coincides with the acoustic natural frequency. In this system dominant frequency of vibration and noise was 37.5Hz. The $3^{rd}$ acoustic natural frequency calculated was 37.2 Hz. When the difference of vortex shedding frequency and acoustic natural frequency is within ${\pm}20%$, acoustic resonance could occur. If system is the state of acoustic resonance, vibration and noise become large. In order to prevent acoustic resonance, anti-noise baffle should be installed in the tube bank. In the case of installing baffle, we should consider the number of baffle and the effect of acoustic mode due to baffle extension length. To do this, we did acoustic mode analysis. After installing anti-noise baffle, acoustic resonance was disappeared and vibration magnitude and noise level was reduced dramatically.
