Convergence of IT service providers and brick-and-mortar companies in an industrial cluster (정보기술서비스기업과 클러스터 오프라인기업의 컨버전스)

  • The study derives various anticipated benefits resulting from locating small and medium sized IT service firms in a specific industrial cluster area. The study also derives IT service agility factors to obtain competitive advantages vital to real-time global enterprises. The anticipated benefits were then used to analyze how they improve the firms' agility. Using questionnaire data, factor analyses were used to figure out eight anticipated benefit factors including coordination, information sharing, business costs, speciality, communication, trust improvement, mutual business understanding, and reciprocity. The eight empirically derived benefit factors were then used to examine how they affect the IT service agility including flexibility, speed, responsiveness, and lean efficiency. The results of regression analyses showed that each one of the anticipated benefit factors except communication influence one or more IT service agility factors.

  • 정확한 $\pi$값의 계산은 자연과학의 여러 분야에 도움을 준다 이와 같이 $\pi$값을 계산하는 여러 가지 방법이 제안되어 있으며 널리 사용되고 있으나, 본 논문에서는 MPI 라이브러리를 활용한 $\pi$값 계산의 병렬화 알고리즘을 소개한다. tan$^{-1}$($\chi$)의 정의를 이용하는 $\pi$값 계산 방법은 다항식의 계산과정에서 각 항(term)들의 종속성으로 인하여 병렬화 수행이 힘든 단점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 tan$^{-1}$($\chi$)를 맥클로린 수열(Maclaurin Series)을 통하여 다항함수로 표현하고, 병렬화 수행에 적합한 적분형태로 변형한다. 따라서. MPI 환경에서 수행하기 적합한 $\pi$값 계산의 병렬화 알고리즘을 제안하고 8노드 클러스터 환경에서 성능을 비교해본다. 또한, 직렬화된 방법에 대한 성능향상(speedup)을 측정한다.

  • This study aims to implement an efficient process management system for small and medium sized(local) construction companies and a performance management system for the Korean construction industry. The process management system by Lean Construction is Web 2.0 platform-based and creates clusters with numerous general contractors and sub-contractors, which will enable mutually organic process management. Plus, this system will enable them to compare project performance management by analyzing it during or after a project by collecting and accumulating lots of data occurring in pursuit of a project. These performance management cases will be of help in process planning during similar upcoming projects. This study is expected to somewhat reduce the burden of implementing a complicated process management protocol and system that Korean small and medium sized (local) construction companies experience with their web-based process management, and is supposed to realize accurate performance management with highly reliable data which are significantly accumulated within the database.

Expression of Clusterin in the Salivary Gland under Restraint Stress (구속 스트레스에 의한 타액선 조직내의 Clusterin 발현)

  • The belief that stress leads to illness has a long history. A number of the orofacial disease are also closely associated with stress. Despite research in the relationship of stress and the orofacial diseases leading to statistically significant correlations, the pathology remains vague. In the present study, the expression of clusterin, a stress protein responsible for antiapoptosis and cytoprotection, under restraint stress condition was observed in the submandibular gland, one of the major salivary glands. Sprague-Dawley rats were divided into 2 groups: normal group and restraint stress group. The rats of restraint stress group were placed in the stress cages and then sacrificed at day 0, 3 and 5 day of the experiment. After that, the submandibular glands of all the rats were excised immediately. The levels of clusterin proteins and mRNA in the tissues were measured by immunohistochemistry and Northern blot analyses, respectively. The results were as follows: 1. In the immunohistochemistry, clusterin protein was detected only immediately after the application of restraint stress. 2. In the restraint stress group, at day 3 and 5, histologically apoptosis was induced with karyorrhectic and pyknotic changes. 3. By the restraint stress, acinic cells were destructed earlier than ductal cells. 4. In the Northern blot, mRNA of clusterin was expressed only immediately after the application of restraint stress. The overall results suggest that as an early response to stress, clusterin is expressed in the glands to protect the glandular cells from the stress. But if stress is so strong and prolonged that it can exceed the stress adaptability of the cells, then the cells may undergo apoptosis instead of producing clusterin.
