A Performance Isolation Mechanism Considering SLA in High Available Heterogeneous Cluster Web Systems (SLA를 고려한 클러스터 기반 고가용성 이질 웹 시스템의 성능 분리 기법)

  • To provide reliable differentiated service for internet clients, many studies on differentiated service are widely done. According to the types of the request of the clients in cluster-based web systems, SLA (Service Level Agreement) between service provider and the clients is considered. In this Paper, we study primary-backup web switch in the web systems that distribute the request of clients to each of web servers and also study performance isolation and admission control schemes of heterogeneous web systems which distinguish the servers into each different function domains. We analyze the availability, the response time and the performance of admission control through various simulated experiments on the proposed web systems.

  • 무선센서네트워크에서 사용되는 많은 응용 프로그램들은 센서노드들의 위치 정보를 필요로 한다. 센서가 획득한 데이터에 대한 지형적인 위치를 결정함으로써 그 데이터에 대한 가치가 중요해질 수도 그렇지 않을 수도 있기 때문이다. Geographic routing 등 기존의 많은 기법들이 센서노드에 위치를 알 수 있는 부가장치가 장착되어 있다는 것을 가정하여 추가적인 비용이 발생하지만 이는 저가의 센서노드들에 적합하지 않거나, 센서노드들간의 연결 정보만을 이용하기 때문에 위치 측정의 정확도가 떨어지는 등의 문제점이 있다. 본 논문은 GPS같은 부가장치를 사용하지 않고 위치를 측정하는 Range-free 방식 중 높은 정확도를 보이는 MDS와 비교하여 더욱 높은 정확도를 보이는 클러스터 기반 MDS 기법을 제안한다. 이 기법은 MDS가 홀이 존재하는 토폴로지에는 정확도가 떨어지는 점에 착안하여 연구된 내용으로 실제 센서네트워크 토폴로지에는 홀이 많이 존재하므로 이러한 환경에서 더욱 높은 정확도를 보이고 있다.

  • 최근 IT 분야에서 인터넷을 기반으로 IT 자원들을 서비스 형태로 제공하는 클라우드 컴퓨팅에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 한편, 효율적인 클라우드 컴퓨팅을 제공하기 위해서는, 막대한 양의 데이터를 수많은 서버들에 분산 처장하고 관리하기 위한 분산 데이터 처장 기법 빛 분산 병렬 처리 기법에 대한 연구가 필수적이다. 이를 위해 본 논문에서는 대표적인 분산 병렬 처리 기법에 대해 살펴보고, 이를 비교 분석한다. 마지막으로 Hadoop 기반 클러스터를 구축하고 이를 통해서 대규모 데이터를 위한 분산 병렬 처리 기법에 대한 성능평가를 수행한다.

  • Clustering is a process of dividing similar data objects in data set into clusters and acquiring meaningful information in the data. The main issues related to clustering are the effective clustering of high dimensional data and optimization. This study proposed a method of measuring similarity based on SVM and a new method of calculating the number of clusters in an efficient way. The high dimensional data are mapped to Feature Space ones using kernel functions and then similarity between neighboring clusters is measured. As for created clusters, the desired number of clusters can be got using the value of similarity measured and the value of Δd. In order to verify the proposed methods, the author used data of six UCI Machine Learning Repositories and obtained the presented number of clusters as well as improved cohesiveness compared to the results of previous researches.

  • Wireless sensor networks (WSN) consisting of a large number of sensors aim to gather data in a variety of environments and are being used and applied to many different fields. The sensor nodes composing a sensor network operate on battery of limited power and as a result, high energy efficiency and long network lifetime are major goals of research in the WSN. In this paper we propose a novel tree-based clustering approach for energy efficient wireless sensor networks. The proposed scheme forms the cluster and the nodes in a cluster construct a tree with the root of the cluster-head., The height of the tree is the distance of the member nodes to the cluster-head. Computer simulation shows that the proposed scheme enhances energy efficiency and balances the energy consumption among the nodes, and thus significantly extends the network lifetime compared to the existing schemes such as LEACH, PEGASIS, and TREEPSI.

  • 1-Dimensional Cluster-Based Sequence Equalizer(1-D CBSE) lessens computational load, compared with the classic maximum likelihood sequence estimation(MLSE) equalizers, and has the superiority in the nonlinear channels. In this paper, we proposed an algorithm of searching for optimal training sequence that estimates the cluster centers instead of time-varying multipath fading channel estimation. The proposed equalizer not only resolved the problems in 1-D CBSE but also improved the bandwidth efficiency using the shorten length of taming sequence to improve bandwidth efficiency. In experiments, the superiority of the new method is demonstrated by comparing conventional 1-D CBSE and related analysis.

  • With the rapid growth of the Internet, popular Web sites are visited so frequently that these cannot be constructed with a single server or mirror site of high performance. The rapid increase of Internet uses and uses raised the problems of overweighted transmission traffic and difficult load balancing. To solve these, various schemes of server clustering have been surveyed. Especially, in order to fully utilize the performance of computer systems in a cluster, a good scheduling method that distributes user requests evenly to servers in required. In this paper, we propose a new method for reducing the service latency. In our method, each Web server in the cluster has different content. This helps to reduce the complexity of load balancing algorithm and the service latency The Web server that received a request from the load balancer responds to the client directly without passing through the load balancer. Simulation studies show that our method performs better than other traditional methods. In terms of response time, our method shows shorter latency than RR (Round Robin) and LC (Least Connection) by about 16%, 14% respectively.

  • 웹 클러스터링 시스템은 사용자의 집중에 의한 서버의 과부화해 효율적으로 대처할 수 있는 방법 중 하나이다. 공간 질의의 대부분은 인접 영역에 대한 경우가 매우 잦으며. 특정 영역에 집중되는 특성을 갖는다. 타일 기반 웹 GIS 클러스터링 시스템은 이러한 공간 질의의 특성을 만족시키면서 클러스터에 포함되는 각 노드의 버퍼 재 사용률을 높이고 디스크 접근 빈도를 낮출 수 있는 기법을 사용한다. 그러나, 모든 질의가 디스패처를 거치기 때문에 병목현상이 나타날 수 있으며, 질의의 빈도가 낮은 지역의 경우 할당된 지역의 범위에 의해 버퍼 관리에 문제가 생긴다. 본 논문에서는 확장된 WARD기법을 사용한 웹 GIS 클러스터링 시스템을 제안한다. 제안되는 시스템은 타일 기반 웹 GIS클러스터링 시스템을 기반으로 디스패처를 분산시켜 병목현상을 줄이고, 각 지역을 그룹으로 묶어 플러스터를 분배하여 대용량의 공간 데이터를 위해 적절한 버퍼 관리를 한다. 또한, 질의가 집중되는 영역에 대한 레이어를 모든 노드의 코어 영역에 중복 저장하여 로컬에서 지역적으로 처리하고 다른 노드로의 처리 요구에 대한 포워딩(Forwarding) 오버헤드를 줄여 기존의 서버에 비해 안정성와 확장성 그리고 처리 능력을 향상시킬 수 있다.

  • This paper develops a scheme of resource management for guaranteeing QoS of realtime traffic in wireless mobile internet environments Mobile terminal has significant impact on the QoS originating mobility provided to a real-time application. The currently proposed MRSVP is not clear the boundary of resource reservation tregion and also can give rise to signal overhead to maintain sessions. To solve above problem, we propose the new reservation protocol, mobile cluster based H-MRSVP to combine MRSVP with moving cluster concept. In this paper, we analytically design our model for guaranteeing the QoS of realtime traffic and compare the three schemes: guard channel allocation schemes, DCA and our model. The performance measures are the probabilities of new call blocking, handoff dropping, resource utilization and service completion versus the system offered Erlang load. Consequently, Simulation indicate our model is more flexible than DCA in a view pint of channel utilization and gains the advantage over guard channel scheme with respects to the mobility.

  • Intrusion detection system(IDS) has recently evolved while combining signature-based detection approach with anomaly detection approach. Although signature-based IDS tools have been commonly used by utilizing machine learning algorithms, they only detect network intrusions with already known patterns, Ideal IDS tools should always keep the signature database of your detection system up-to-date. The system needs to generate the signatures to detect new possible attacks while monitoring and analyzing incoming network data. In this paper, we propose a new outlier cluster detection algorithm with density (or influence) function, Our method assumes that an outlier is a kind of cluster with similar instances instead of a single object in the context of network intrusion, Through extensive experiments using KDD 1999 Cup Intrusion Detection dataset. we show that the proposed method outperform the conventional outlier detection method using Euclidean distance function, specially when attacks occurs frequently.
