A Frequency Domain based Steganography using Image Frame and Collage (액자와 콜라주를 이용한 주파수영역 기반 스테가노그래피)

  • This paper proposes a new steganography scheme based on frequency domain using various image frames and collages that can protect the copyright of digital contents for users and securely perform to exchange the security information in the digital communication environments. The main idea of our proposed scheme is that the security informations related its copyright embed into the frequency domain of the image frame and collages when a user decorates the original image by using various image frames and collages. The strengths of our proposed scheme are as follows: (1) It allows to freely control the quantity of embedded information by changing the number of image frames and collages. (2) It is secure to variety image distortion attacks. (3) It maintains high PSNR(Peak Signal to Noise Ratio). As a result, the proposed steganography scheme can be used practically diverse multimedia security fields such as digital copyright protect, secure message communication and digital watermarking.

Ocurrence of Clubroot Caused by Plasmodiophora brassicae on Kohlrabi in Korea (Plasmodiophora brassicae에 의한 콜라비 뿌리혹병 발생)

  • From 2016 to 2018, approximately 15% of kohlrabi were observed displaying significant clubroot symptoms in farmer's fields in Jeju, Korea. The initial infection appeared as hypertrophy of root hairs, and as the disease progressed, galls formation occurred on the main roots, finally disease progress resulted in yellowing and wilting of leaves. Pathogenicity was proven by artificial inoculation of plants with resting spore suspension, fulfilling Koch's postulates. The resting spore is one-celled, spherical and subspherical, colorless, and $3-5{\mu}m$ in diameter. On the basis of the morphological characteristics and phylogenetic analyses of internal transcribed spacer rDNA, the causal agent was identified as Plasmodiophora brassicae. To our knowledge, this is the first report on the occurrence of P. brassicae on kohlrabi in Korea.

  • Recently, global luxury fashion brands such as Gucci, Saint Laurent, and Louis Vuitton have been showing special interest in Korean contemporary artists and actively collaborating with them. This can be said to be a new change that is distinguished from previous collaborations of fashion brands. Therefore, this study investigated the cases of collaboration between global luxury fashion brands and Korean contemporary artists, and analyzed the types and characteristics to examine the trends and characteristics and draw meaning. As a result, fashion brands combine the characteristics of Korean art works of various genres with the brand concept and pursued values to create new sensibility and high value-added products. It can be seen that the intention was to prepare a place to draw out. In addition, it was found that collaboration was also utilized in terms of marketing so that domestic customers could visit the brand store with a sense of familiarity by utilizing Korea's artistic and cultural sentiments. Based on the results of this study, we intend to provide basic data for the development of creative contents for various collaborations between fashion and art that can help develop the modern fashion industry.

  • 딥러닝이 정답을 찾아가는 연구과정이라면 미술은 정답이나 오답의 단정적 결과보다는 미추(아름다움과 추함)를 포함하는 과정적, 창조적 행위에 가깝다고 할 수 있다. 다시 말하면 미술은 0과 1로만 환원할 수 없는 세계를 기술하여 감동을 주는 유기적 규칙이 내재되어 있고 때로는 과학이 만들어낸 결론을 뒤집는 반상식적 추론을 하기도 한다. 그러므로 딥러닝은 예술적 방식을 통하여 과학의 상식적 추론과의 좋은 거리(Fine distance)를 유지할 필요성이 있는데, 이를 위해서 기존 딥러닝의 이미지 생성과 관련하여 Distance, Classification, Optimization 등의 문제를 미술 표현 기법과 목적이 담겨있는 창작자의 Statement 키워드와의 유사성과 차이점을 비교 분석할 필요가 있다고 생각한다. 시각적 표현과 관련된 딥러닝의 성능은 아직 사람의 표현능력에 못 미치고 있어 본 논문에서는 콜라주 기법에 의한 비디오 생성을 위한 탐색적 실험 분석을 목적으로 GAN을 활용한 콜라주 비디오를 제작하고 그 문제점과 개선점을 제안하고자 한다.

Quality Properties and Storage Characteristics of Hamburger Patty Added with Purple Kohlrabi (Brassica oleracea var. gongylodes) (자색 콜라비를 첨가한 햄버거 패티의 품질 및 저장 특성)

  • This study is performed to evaluate the effects of purple Kohlrabi addition on the quality properties and stability characteristics of hamburger patties during storage. The patties were prepared by adding 0% (N), 3.3% (K1), 6.6% (K2), and 10% (K3) of chopped purple Kohlrabi. Each patty was tested in triplicate and assigned to one of the four storage periods: 0, 5, 10, or 15 days. Addition of Kohlrabi decreased the protein and lipid contents, however, the ash and moisture contents were significantly increased. The total amino acid contents of N, K1, K2, and K3 were $15.34{\pm}1.02$, $14.57{\pm}1.28$, $15.10{\pm}1.17$, and $16.70{\pm}1.23$ mg/100 g, respectively. Palmitic acid was the most abundant among the saturated fatty acids, while oleic acid was the most abundant unsaturated fatty acids among the four groups. The water holding capacity value and cooking loss were not significantly different among the patties. In the textural characteristics, the addition of Kohlrabi increased the cohesiveness and chewiness values, but did not affect the hardness and springiness values of the patties. In the sensory evaluation, an addition of 10% Kohlrabi had the best score in color, flavor, and total acceptability. The pH of the patties decreased longer period storage; however, the total microbial counts, thiobarbituric acid (TBA) value and volatile basic nitrogen (VBN) content increased during storage. The TBA value and VBN content of the patties containing 10% Kohlrabi were lower than those of the N. Kohlrabi addition decreased the b (yellowness) and a (redness) values, and did not affect the L (lightness) value. Thus, this result suggests that adding Kohlrabi of 10% can be applied to patties for its functionality.

Antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activity of extracts from kohlrabi (Brassica Oleracea var. Gonglodes) (콜라비 추출물의 항산화 및 항염 효능)

  • This study was designed to examine the in vitro antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects of kohlrabi (Brassica oleracea var. gonglodes) extract. Kohlrabi was extracted using 70% ethanol and then fractionated sequentially with n-hexane, ethyl acetate and butanol. Antioxidative ability was evaluated by bioassays using total polyphenol contents and ABTS (2,2'-azino-bis (3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulphonic acid diammonium salt) radical scavenging activity. Ethyl acetate fraction of kohlrabi was best on total polyphenol contents ($27.33{\pm}0.26mg\;GAE/g$) and ABTS radical scavenging effects ($IC_{50}\;172.9{\pm}1.6{\mu}g/mL$).For the anti-inflammatory activity in RAW 264.7 cells, the EtOAc fraction showed the highest inflammatory effect. Dose response studies were performed to determine the inhibitory effect of EtOAc fraction of kohlrabi on pro-inflammatory mediators in lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-stimulated RAW 264.7 cells. The EtOAc fraction of kohlrabi inhibited the NO and $PGE_2$ production and the protein level of iNOS and COX-2, and protein expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines (TNF-${\alpha}$, IL-6 and IL-$1{\beta}$), in a dose-dependent manner. These results suggest that kohlrabi has considerable potential as a ingredient with antioxidative and anti-inflammatory effects.

Evaluation for Biocompatibility of Gentamicin-collagen Sponge on the Experimental Animal Wound Model (실험동물 창상 모델에서 겐타마이신 함유 콜라겐 스폰지의 생체적합성 평가)

  • The objective of this study was to compare the biocompatibility for local irritation and bioavailability of $Gentacol^{TM}$ and $Collatamp^{TM}$, after single intramuscular loading in rats. Sixty-six male Sprague-Dawley rats were divided into 4 groups; (1) any test materials were not applied into the quadriceps muscles (control group, N = 6), (2) Gentamicin was injected into the quadriceps muscles (Gentamicin group, N = 6), (3) Collatamp was applied into the quadriceps muscles (Collatamp group, N = 27), and (4) Gentacol was applied into the quadriceps muscles (Gentacol group, N = 27). The concentration of gentamicin in muscles was gradually decreased with time after loaded in the both $Gentacol^{TM}$ and $Collatamp^{TM}$ loaded regions. No detectable gentamicin was observed in the plasma of $Gentacol^{TM}$ and $Collatamp^{TM}$ loaded rats. Histologically, moderate to severe inflammatory cell infiltrations including PMN, lymphoid cells and macrophages were observed with slight to moderate edematous changes of muscle fibers after intramuscular injection of gentamicin. However, these histopathological changes of gentamicin injection induced local irritations were dramatically decreases after intramuscular loading of $Collatamp^{TM}$ and $Gentacol^{TM}$. These results suggest $Gentacol^{TM}$ may show favorable local bioavailability and induce only slight local irritations as comparable as $Collatamp^{TM}$ without systemic exposures in the condition of this experiment.
