Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate post-traumatic stress, job stress, fatigue, and social support of nurses in direct care for COVID-19 patients and to identify the factors affecting post-traumatic stress among the nurses. Methods: The participants were 150 nurses from three hospitals. Data were collected from September 11, 2020 to September 21, 2020. The data were analyzed with SPSS/WIN/25.0 program. Results: The mean score of post-traumatic stress was 22.27±15.49 (range 0~88). The percentage of high risk group of post-traumatic stress was 35.3%, risk group was 20.0%, normal group was 44.7%. Post-traumatic stress showed statistically significant differences according to quarantined experience (t=2.15, p=.033), and provision of COVID-19 manual (t=-2.40, p=.026). Post-traumatic stress was positively correlated with job stress (r=.48, p<.001), and fatigue (r=.58, p<.001), and it was negatively correlated with social support (r=-.22, p=.005). Job stress was positively correlated with fatigue (r=.74, p<.001), and it was negatively correlated with social support (r=-.17, p=.030). Fatigue and social support (r=-.17, p=.029) had a negative correlation. The results of regression analysis showed that the factors affecting post-traumatic stress included fatigue (β=.56, p<.001), provision of COVID-19 manual (β=-.24, p<.001), and quarantined experience (β=.18, p=.006) and that the total explanatory power was 42.0%. Conclusion: In this study, fatigue, provision of COVID-19 manual, and quarantined experience were found as influential factors of post-traumatic stress among nurses in direct care for COVID-19 patients. Therefore, development of the intervention for reducing the fatigue should consider to prevent post-traumatic stress in nurses. Also, provision of COVID-19 manual for nurses and psychological intervention program for nurses experienced quarantine are necessary.
Purpose: This study aimed to identify the mediating effect of Psychological stress of COVID-19 stress on the relationship between nursing work environment and turnover intention of nurses in long-term care hospitals. Methods: The participants were 176 nurses working at three long-term care hospitals in Changwon City. Data were collected from August 11 to 14, 2021, using self-report questionnaires. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and hierarchical regression, using the SPSS 23.0 software. A mediation analysis was performed according to the Baron and Kenny's test, and Sobel test. Results: Turnover intention was positively correlated with Psychological stress of COVID-19 stress (r=.23, p=.002) and negatively correlated with nursing work environment (r=-.44, p<.001). Psychological stress of COVID-19 stress had a significantly negative relationship with nursing work environment (r=-.15, p=.045). Psychological stress of COVID-19 stress partially mediated the relationship between nursing work environment and turnover intention. Conclusion: The findings of this study indicate that a positive nursing work environment can help nurses reduce their Psychological stress of COVID-19 stress and turnover intention. To reduce the turnover intention among nurses' in long-term care, it is necessary to promote better work environments suitable for COVID-19 and to establish detailed strategies for reducing their physiological stress.
This study was conducted to identify factors that affect the job satisfaction of nurses at local hub hospital in the COVID-19 situation. Data were collected from 230 nurses working at 4 local hub hospital in C-do through a questionnaire. Using SPSS/WIN statistics 25.0, the data was analyzed by t-test, ANOVA, Pearson Correlation, and Multiple Linear Regression. Factors that were significant to the job satisfaction of nurses at local hub hospital were self-efficacy(t=3.003, p=.003), G local hub hospital(t=2.739, p=.007), and job burden(t=-4.291, p<.001) which showed 44.1% of the explanation. In conclusion, in order to increase job satisfaction of nurses at local hub hospitals in the COVID-19 situation, it is necessary to develop a convergence program that improves self-efficacy, and policy support is needed to lower the job burden.

Purpose: This study investigates the relationship between job stress and burnout among primary healthcare practitioners during COVID-19 pandemic through mixed methods study. Methods: Data were collected from October to November 2022 using Qualtrix, a web-based survey platform. 1,082 primary health care practitioners participated in the survey. Quantitative data were analyzed using correlation analysis using IBM SPSS/WIN 27.0. Qualitative data were analyzed using content analysis through open-ended questions. Results: Job stress and burnout among primary healthcare practitioners during COVID-19 were positively correlated. Four categories and seven subcategories were identified. Conclusion: Based on these findings, it is necessary to develop a support system for primary healthcare practitioners according to the type of residential area and the number of peopleto reduce job stress and burnout.
The stress on finding a job is also increasing in a situation where the difficulty in finding a job is aggravating due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In this study, the major satisfaction of college students was subdivided into subject satisfaction and relationship satisfaction, and the relationship between these and job-seeking stress was investigated. In addition, We tried to find out whether there is a difference in the influence relationship between these majors according to their current major, that is, whether they majored in a science, engineering major or a social science major. The population for the study was the students currently enrolled in the 4th grade, and the research sample was obtained from students of H and N universities in the metropolitan area. A total of 220 people were analyzed, 110 people from science and engineering and 110 from social sciences. For analysis, SPSS 24.0 and Process Macro 5.0 were used. The empirical analysis results are as follows. First, subject satisfaction had a negative (-) effect on job-seeking stress. Second, relationship satisfaction also had a significant negative (-) effect on job-seeking stress. Third, there was a significant difference between science, engineering students and social science students in the effect of subject satisfaction on job-seking stress. Fourth, in the effect of relationship satisfaction on job-seeking stress, there was also a significant difference between science, engineering students and social science students. Therefore, the higher the satisfaction with the major you are majoring in, the lower the job-seeking stress, and the extent of this decrease is social science students were larger than science, engineering students. It is necessary to be cautious in generalizing the results of this study, which was made in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. Based on the empirical analysis results, the academic and practical implications of this study are presented.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effect of the spread of a new type of coronavirus infection (COVID-19) on the mental state in school-age children and parents focusing on the aspects of sleep disorders and depression. A questionnaire survey was conducted for 123 parents and 108 school-age children who visited Department of Pediatric Dentistry, Kyung Hee University Dental Hospital at Gangdong from April 2, 2020 through April 25, 2020, via the direct writing method. Participants were assessed with Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index, Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD)-7, Center for Epidemiology Scale for Depression. Logistic regressions were used with a level of significance of 5%. The prevalence of GAD, depression, and poor sleep in parents were 34.1%, 17.1% and 44.7%, respectively. The prevalence of GAD in children was 20.4%. Logistic regression showed that stress from Emergency Alert Messages about COVID-19 was associated with GAD and depression in parents. In children, the degree of emotional change after COVID-19 was associated with GAD. This study confirmed that there was a change in the psychological status of children and guardians due to the epidemic of coronavirus disease-2019, and it would be necessary to consider their psychological status during dental treatment.

Purpose: This study aims to examine the levels of posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression and social stigma among nurses caring for Corona Virus Disease-19 (COVID-19) patients. Methods: 169 nurses caring for COVID-19 patients participated in this study. Data collection was conducted at university hospitals from March 1 to August 31, 2020. Data analysis was performed for descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, and Pearson correlation coefficients using SPSS/WIN 24.0 program. Results: The mean scores of PTSD, depression and social stigma were 25.16±16.80, 17.26±8.63 and 5.83±2.84, respectively. The PTSD scores were significantly different between the department (F=2.89, p=.037). Depressive scores were significantly different between the marital status (t=2.27, p=.024) and the department (F=4.91, p=.003). Social stigma scores were significantly different between age (F=6.49, p=.002), marital status (t=-3.30, p=.008), having or not having children (t=3.82, p=.001), department (F=5.82, p=.001) and clinical experience (F=7.43, p=.001). Positive correlations were found between PTSD and depression (r=.70, p<.001) and social stigma (r=.22, p<.004). Conclusion: Integrated assessment and management are required to address the psychological and emotional problems faced by nurses caring for COVID-19 patients, and active follow-up measures should be considered.

Purpose: This study explored the mediating role of resilience between post-traumatic stress and emotional exhaustion in nurses during the COVID-19 pandemic. Methods: The data were collected from 193 nurses working at a hospital in Daegu from October 16 to 30, 2020, in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic. Participants conducted self-reported surveys of post-traumatic stress (Impact of Event Scale-Revised Korean version), emotional exhaustion (Maslach Burnout Inventory), and resilience (Korean Resilience Quotient Test). The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, frequency, t-tests, Mann-Whitney U tests, Kruskal-Wallis tests, Pearson correlation coefficients, and multiple regression. Mediation analysis was performed using the Baron and Kenny method and Sobel test. Results: The mean scores for post-traumatic stress, resilience, and emotional exhaustion were 16.18±16.18, 183.41±18.29, and 32.64±9.66, respectively. A higher level of post-traumatic stress was associated with lower resilience (r=-.20, p=.004) and with higher emotional exhaustion (r=.33, p<.001). A higher level of resilience was associated with lower emotional exhaustion (r=-.35, p<.001). The resilience was confirmed to have a partial mediating effect in the relationship between post-traumatic stress and emotional exhaustion, verified by the Sobel test (Z=2.31, p=.02). Conclusion: Resilience had a partial mediating effect in the relationship between post-traumatic stress and emotional exhaustion. Thus, nurses should develop individual strengths to reduce emotional exhaustion, and managers should also make efforts to increase the nurses' resilience. It is also necessary to develop and apply a program to strengthen nurses' resilience.

As the COVID-19 situation continues, early childhood are unable to attend early childhood education institutions and are spending more time with their parents at home. Parents are faced with a situation where they have to spend a lot of time at home to teach their children for Korean word learning or play activities. This act as a lot of psychological burden and stress for parents. In order to relieve the psychological burden of parents, the design and implementation of early childhood learning assistant system that can support Korea word education and play activities using artificial intelligence blocks of block coding technique was proposed in this study. The usage of a proposed system can not only reduce the burden on parents for their children's learning, but also can be actively used in the field of early childhood education so many learning effects can be expected.
Purpose: This study sought to identify the levels of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) knowledge, anxiety, nursing professionalism, and clinical practicum stress, and the factors influencing this stress in nursing students. Methods: A cross-sectional and descriptive study was conducted with the participation of 140 junior and senior nursing students recruited from three nursing colleges in Busan and Gyeongsangnam-do. Data analysis was performed using independent t-tests, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multiple regression using the SPSS/WIN 26.0 program. Results: The study arrived at a mean score of 63.18±13.89 for clinical practicum stress, which showed a significant difference based on the perceived health status and reasons for admission to nursing school. Anxiety and professionalism exhibited a noteworthy correlation with clinical practicum stress. The significant predictors of clinical practicum stress among nursing students were perceived health status (β=.39, p<.001), anxiety (β=.25, p=.033), and the reasons for admission to nursing school (β=.17, p=.012). The total explanatory power of these variables was 23.0% (F=6.28, p<.001). Conclusion: The results of this study suggest that it is necessary to provide effective education to promote nursing professionalism during a pandemic. It is also necessary to develop and include various programs in the curriculum that strategically intervene to prevent anxiety in pre-service nurses. This would reduce the stress in the clinical practice of nursing students when faced with new infectious diseases in the future.
