Deformation Measuring of Tensegrity Structure by Optical Fiber Bragg Grating Sensor (광섬유 브래그 격자 센서를 이용한 텐서그리티 구조물의 변형 계측)

  • The object of this paper is to verify possible to monitor the deformation of cable in the tensegrity structure. Also, always monitoring system of tensegrity structure using Fiber Bragg Grating Sensor is described. We carry out experiments with measuring deformation of cable in the tensegrity structure based on loading conditions. In the result of experiment, the Fiber Bragg Grating Sensors shows accurate response to the loading conditions. Therefore, we can make sure the possibility of Fiber Bragg Grating Sensor in health monitoring of the cable structure like tensegrity structure.

  • This study is to consider the character of cables in six World-Cup stadiums constructed in 2002 and to inspect problems on measurement natural frequencies interpretation and application of existing theory. The results of the experiment were shown that it was possible to determine the tension force of the real cables with an accuracy of 8% by taking the cable bending stiffness. But for the range of cable affected greatly by bending stiffness(${\xi}{\leq}7$), it was appeared the tendency to increase estimated error and was considered to need additional study of this range. Estimated tension error could not be improved so much in comparison to the case using single mode of vibration even through multiple modes of vibration were used.

Comparison Study of Elastic Catenary and Elastic Parabolic Cable Elements for Nonlinear Analysis of Cable-Supported Bridges (케이블교량의 비선형해석을 위한 탄성현수선 및 탄성포물선 케이블요소의 비교연구)

  • This study introduces an elastic parabolic cable element for initial shaping analysis of cable-supported structures. First, an elastic catenary cable theory is shortly summarized by deriving the compatibility condition and the tangent stiffness matrices of the elastic catenary cable element. Next, the force-deformation relations and the tangent stiffness matrices of the elastic parabolic cable elements are derived and discussed under the assumption that sag configuration under self-weights is small. In addition the equivalent cable tension is defined in the chord-wise direction. Finally, to demonstrate the accuracy of the elastic parabolic cable element, nonlinear relationships of nominal cable tension-chord length and nominal cable tension-tangential stiffness for a single element are presented and compared with results using an elastic catenary cable theory as the slope is varied.

Analysis of the Frequency for Cable of Cable-Stayed Bridges to Temperature Variation (온도변화에 따른 사장교 케이블 고유진동수 분석)

  • Cable was targeted for cable, which is a main material of cable-stayed bridges that have high frequency of use at home and abroad and many future construction plans. First of all, experiments were conducted on temperature loads that were permanently used due to changes in temperature of cables and changes in air temperature, taking into account changes in normal fat. The dynamic characteristics of cables were compared and analyzed by applying various systems to change dynamic characteristics by applying temperature change of cables. Comparing and analyzing the dynamic characteristics of cables, the acceleration, frequency and tension of cables due to temperature rise tended to decrease, the degree of influence of displacement of cables was analyzed, and the results of the mode characteristics of cables were analyzed. In particular, the correlation of cable acceleration, natural frequency, and tension due to changes in cable temperature showed that the cable tension is highly sensitive to acceleration and natural frequency.

  • To investigate the characteristics of the dynamic response of long-span cable-stayed bridges due to various dynamic loadings likes moving traffic loads, two different 3-D cable-stayed bridge models are considered in this study. Two models are exactly the same in structural configurations but different in finite element discretization. Modal analysis is conducted using the deformed dead-load tangent stiffness matrix. A new concept was presented by using divided a cable into several elements in order to study the effect of the cable vibration (both in-plane and swinging) on the overall bridge dynamics. Futhermore case of asymmetric traffic loading clustered in one direction are also considered to study the torsional response of the bridge. The result of this study demonstrates the importance of cable vibration on the overall bridge dynamics.

  • In this paper, the design of UTP LAN cable with enhanced alien crosstalk characteristic is proposed. Proposed LAN cable is made with jacket of the irregularly corrugation type. If necessary, it is possible to use the special cross-filler. The alien crosstalk characteristic is enhanced by using proposed cable with inner jacket of the irregularly corrugation type in wide frequency band. The design of the cable was based on parameters of the standard EIA/TIA 568-B.2-10.

  • 두가현수교는 2010년 8월 집중호우로 인해 유실된 교량을 복구하기 위한 과업으로서 향후 재발방지를 위해 중앙 경간장을 증가시켜 통수단면적을 추가확보하고, 교량 여유고를 상향시켜 수해에 대비한 견고한 교량으로 계획하였다. 또한 보행자의 통행을 위한 보도육교의 특성을 고려하여 지역의 관광자원이 될 수 있도록 중앙경간 125m의 V형 주탑 3차원 보도현수교로 설계하였다. 보강거더는 H-Beam을 이용하여 자재 수급 및 취급이 용이하며 강재 바닥판을 적용하여 보다 경량화된 보강거더를 적용함으로써 주케이블의 장력 감소에도 기여하도록 하였으며, 행어정착을 위한 별도의 정착거더를 채택한 ${\pi}$형식을 채택하여 풍동실험을 통해 내풍 안정성을 확인하였다. 주케이블 및 행어는 미관, 구조적 안정성, 유지관리성 및 가설의 용이함을 고려하여 PE를 피복한 PWS케이블을 선정하였다. 경관을 고려한 V형 주탑을 이용한 3차원 케이블을 채택하여 지역의 상징물을 표현하였으며 기초의 규모를 최소화 하였다. 또한 H형 및 A형 주탑과의 비교를 통해 V형 주탑 교량의 특성을 검토하였다.

  • 세그먼트 자중 등에 의한 휨모멘트와 케이블 수직압축력에 의한 합성응력이 발생되고 바닥판 경간비가 변하는 사장교의 시공단계에서는 전단지연의 영향범위가 다를 수 있다. 이 연구에서는 1면 케이블 콘크리트 박스 사장교를 대상으로 시공단계시 보강형에 고려되어야 할 합성응력에 의한 유효플랜지폭을 분석하였다. 그 결과 바닥판 경간비가 0.38 이하의 범위에서 보강형의 전폭을 유효플랜지폭으로 적용할 수 있는 것으로 해석되었다. 따라서 시공단계시 변화되는 바닥판 경간비의 크기에 관계없이 전폭을 유효플랜지폭으로 반영하는 실무관행은 안전측 설계가 되지 못할 수 가 있다. 바닥판 경간비가 작아짐에 따라서는 전폭과 캔틸레버 구조계로 유효플랜지폭을 결정하는 것이 타당하다. 이 연구에서는 수직력에 대한 도로교설계기준의 유효플랜지폭 규정에 대한 평가도 수행하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 텐셔닝 에어빔 시스템(Tensioning Air Beam System: 이하 TABS)의 휨실험 및 수치해석를 통하여 TABS의 성능을 고찰하고자 한다. TABS는 스위스의 엠파(EMPA)에서 Tensairity라는 이름으로 처음 제안되어져, 다수의 연구결과가 발표되었으나 설계에 있어 중요한 변수인 압력, 케이블 장력과 시스템 구조성능의 상관관계가 명확치 않으므로 실제 구조물의 적용에는 정성적, 정량적인 자료가 불충분하다고 할 수 있다. 따라서 텐셔닝 에어빔의 구조성능 파악을 목적으로, 다양한 압력조건과 케이블의 초기장력에 대한 구조실험을 실시하였고, 유한요소법을 이용한 해석결과와 실험값을 비교하여 제안모델의 유효성을 검토하였다.
