  • Recently, research on edutech, which combines education and technology in the e-learning field called learning, education and training, has been actively conducted, but it is still insufficient to collect and utilize data tailored to individual learners based on learning activity data that can be automatically collected from digital devices. Therefore, this study attempts to detect questions in textbooks or problem papers using artificial intelligence computer vision technology that plays the same role as human eyes. The textbook or questionnaire item detection model proposed in this study can help collect, store, and analyze offline learning activity data in connection with intelligent education services without digital conversion of textbooks or questionnaires to help learners provide personalized learning services even in offline learning.

  • As IoT applications that provide AI services increase, various hardware and software that support autonomous learning and inference are being developed. However, as the characteristics and constraints of each hardware increase difficulties in developing IoT applications, the development of an integrated platform is required. In this paper, we propose a tool for automatically generating components based on artificial neural networks and spiking neural networks as well as IoT technologies to be compatible with open platforms. The proposed component automatic generation tool supports the creation of components considering the characteristics of various hardware devices through the virtual component layer of IoT and AI and enables automatic application to open platforms.

  • 유비쿼터스 시대의 도래에 따른 서비스의 고급화는 다양한 형태의 사용자 단말기의 개발을 유도 하였으며, 이러한 사용자 단말기의 변화는 다양한 형태의 인간친화형 사용자 인터페이스의 개발로 이어지게 되었다. 이러한 다양한 형태의 인간친화형 사용자 인터페이스 중, 인간의 뇌를 활용한 사용자 인터페이스, 즉 BCI에 관한 연구가 산발적으로 다양하게 진행되고 있다. 현재 진행되어지고 있는 다양한 형태의 BCI관련 연구들은, 연구 초기 수준을 극복하지 못하는 실정이며, 이러한 연구 개발의 지체 이유로는 DB구축부터 시작한 체계적인 연구가 이루어지고 있지 않는 점을 들 수 있다. 또한, 뇌파 신호의 수집 시 효율적인 피험자 지침 관련 연구가 없는 실정이며 기 구현되어진 대부분의 시스템이 로컬시스템 형태로 구성되어져 DB 구축 시 한정적인 피험자 수, 대용량의 뇌파 DB수집 시 한계, 뇌파 DB의 신뢰성이 저하되는 문제점을 야기한다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제점을 극복하기 위하여 VoiceXML을 활용한 온라인 기반의 DB구축 시스템 구현을 제안 하며 신뢰성 및 객관성을 확보 하고자 한다.

Optimal Server Allocation to Parallel Queueing Systems by Computer Simulation (컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 이용한 병렬 대기행렬 시스템의 최적 서버 배치 방안)

  • A queueing system with 2 parallel workstations is common in the field. Typically, the workstations have different features in terms of the inter arrival times of customers and the service times for the customers. Computer simulation study on the optimal server allocation for parallel heterogeneous queueing systems with fixed number of identical servers is presented in this paper. The queueing system is optimized with respect to minimizing the weighted system time of the customers served by 2 parallel workstations. The system time formula for the M/M/c systems in Kendall's notation is known. Thus, we first compute the optimal allocation for parallel M/M/c systems, comparing the results with those from the computer simulation experiments, and have the same results. The CETI rule is devised through optimizing M/M/c cases, which allocates the servers based on Close or Equal Traffic Intensities between workstations. Traffic intensity is defined as the arrival rate divided by the service rate times the number of servers. The CETI rule is shown to work for M/G/c, G/M/c queueing systems by numerous computer simulation experiments, even if the rule cannot be proven analytically. However, the CETI rule is shown not to work for some of G/G/c systems.

  • Video surveillance is consists of cameras, transmission devices, storage and playback devices, and is used for crime prevention and disaster monitoring. Recently, it has been spreading to a wide variety of fields, and has developed into an intelligent video surveillance system that can automatically recognize or track characteristic objects of people and things. The purpose of this study was to investigate the cases of video surveillance service applying the latest technology by dividing it into the home, public, and private sectors. also this study tried to investigate and research what advantage it brings from a business perspective. By looking at the cases introduced in this study, it was confirmed that the viedo security service is developing intelligently, such as excellent compatibility with CCTV, multiple video surveillance, CCTV screen motion detection, and alarm through automatic analysis.

  • The paper presents an intelligent space management system for ubiquitous computing. The system is basically a home/office automation system that could control light, electronic key, and home appliances such as TV and audio. On top of these basic capabilities, there are four elegant features in the system. First, we can access the system using either a cellular Phone or using a browser on the PC connected to the Internet, so that we control the system at any time and any place. Second, to provide more human-oriented interface, we integrate voice recognition functionalities into the system. Third, the system supports not only reactive services but also proactive services, based on the regularities of user behavior. Finally, by exploiting embedded technologies, the system could be run on the hardware that has less-processing power and storage. We have implemented the system on the embedded board consisting of StrongARM CPU with 205MHz, 32MB SDRAM, 16MB NOR-type flash memory, and Relay box. Under these hardware platforms, software components such as embedded Linux, HTK voice recognition tools, GoAhead Web Server, and GPIO driver are cooperated to support user-friendly intelligent space.

  • High-quality customized services demand was growing due to the increase of aging, extremely nuclear family, disaster vulnerable of society. Ambulance service is required of fast and professional rescue and emergency service because of preventable death rate such as acute diseases, cerebral and cardiovascular diseases, suicides, etc. was higher than in developed countries. First aid will be available using patients information when emergency occurs, before arriving at the hospital. And emergency department is equipped with that patient care can be prepared in advance, increase the efficiency of emergency care. We received a variety of complex emergency call using high social awareness of 119 number and propose an efficient emergency medical service advancement strategy building an integrated response system with relevant organization.

A Linked Analysis Method between Commercial district Information and Survey Information (상권정보와 설문정보의 연계 분석 방법)

  • In Korea, micro-enterprises are in charge of an important part of the common people's economy, but face difficulties such as excessive competition, deteriorating profitability, and concentration of life-oriented industries. In order to solve this problem, the government is providing commercial district analysis services for micro-enterprises. However, the data provided by various organizations is not standardized, and there is a limit to the composition of the service with limited data. In this paper, we propose a method of solving the data consistency problem and linking and analyzing between questionnaire information and commercial district information to expand the data analysis service. The proposed linking methods are three methods: linking the commercial area information and questionnaire information in the same area based on the type of business and area, linking the survey information centered on individual micro-enterprise, and linking a small area of questionnaire information with a large area of commercial district information. The linked commercial district information and questionnaire information can be used in various ways or expanded analysis services. This proposed a method to overcome the limitations of existing commercial district analysis services with questionnaire information and lay the foundation for expanding the commercial district analysis services necessary for micro-enterprises.

A study on the Metaverse based memorial service platform

  • Korea's ancestral culture has limited travel and contact due to Corona (COVID-19). In addition, Korean ancestral culture meets in person to commemorate the deceased. In this paper, we propose a non-face-to-face metaverse memorial platform service that can commemorate the deceased and perform ancestral rites in the cyber world (virtual reality) by applying the metaverse technology. The services proposed in the study consisted of a remembrance hall that displays the life story of the deceased, a ancestral hall that conducts ancestral rites for the deceased, and a deceased pavilion that checks the remains and wills of the deceased. In addition, the virtual reality device (HMD: Head Mounted Display) set the teleportation and content resolution to 4K to minimize dizziness. In particular, the priests applied interaction technology to provide an immersive service for ancestral rites between family members. The researched memorial hall metaverse service is a metaverse-based platform service that allows anyone to commemorate the deceased as a family unit in a non-face-to-face state rather than face-to-face.

  • 최근 클라우드 컴퓨팅에 관련된 기술이 각광을 받으면서, 기존에 인터넷을 통해 제공되던 다양한 서비스들이 클라우드 컴퓨팅 플랫폼 환경으로 이동하고 있다. 이를 통해 사용자들에게는 좀 더 편리하고 유연한 서비스를 제공하고 서비스 제공자들에게는 기존 관리 비용의 절감을 할 수 있게 되었다. 하지만 현재 폭발적인 수요의 증가로 인해, 기존의 자원 활용도의 극대화를 목적으로 고안된 자원 분배 기법들에 대한 여러 한계점이 나타나게 되었다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제점들을 해결하고자 클라우드 컴퓨팅 환경에서 Qos를 기반으로 사용자나 서비스 제공자의 비용적인 측면을 고려한 자원분배를 통해 서비스를 제공시 사용자 요구를 만족시키고 동시에 서비스 공급자에게는 비용 효율적인 프로비저닝(Provisioning)기법을 제안하고자 한다. 실험 결과 기존의 자원 활용도에 중점을 둔 기법보다 사용자 요청에 대한 응답 속도가 8.35% 향상되었으며, 컴퓨터 자원 유지 관련 비용면에서도 기존 대비 11.31% 절감 효과를 가져오는 것을 확인 할 수 있었다.
