A study on the digital textbook acceptance by application of Chasm Theory and Technology Acceptance Model (캐즘이론과 정보기술수용모형을 적용한 디지털 교과서 수용 연구)

  • This study was conducted to identify factors that influenced teachers' adoption of digital textbooks and causal relationships among the factors identified. Chasm theory was used in developing strategies for adoption of digital textbooks that consider teachers' innovativeness. This study also employed the information technology adoption model of Davis (1989) that illustrates decision making processes for the adoption of instructional media such as digital textbooks. Based on these two theories, a measurement instrument measuring teachers' innovativeness, perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and intention of use was developed and validated through a series of reliability and validity tests. Causal relationships among the factors were examined using structural equation modeling. The result indicated that: a) perceived ease of use had a directional effect on perceived usefulness and an indirect effect on intention of use; and b) perceived usefulness had a direct effect on intention of use. Implications of this finding are discussed especially for the efforts in developing strategies for teachers' adoption of digital textbook. For example, when digital textbooks are introduced into public schools, teachers' perception of the usefulness of digital textbooks, beyond just ease of use, should be considered.

A Study on the Elementary Informatics Curriculum Design Through Future Competency Analysis (미래 역량 분석을 통한 초등 정보교과 구성 방향성 탐색)

  • Many countries design and implement informatics curriculum based on core competencies to respond to the demands of development and reform in rapidly changing times. In this paper, we developed the core competencies framework of elementary information education by comparing and analyzing the core competencies and suggested the direction of the composition of elementary informatics subjects. We found that social-emotional skills, communication, creativity, responsibility, culture and ethics, problem-solving, collaboration and abstract competencies overlapped among the capabilities presented by each country and institution, and computational thinking and information technology utilization skills in Korea. Therefore, we proposed to reflect the core competencies of the framework in the elementary informatics curriculum. Moreover, we also suggested enhancing problem-solving skills, strengthening social responsibility and cultivating convergent skills to organize the curriculum. We hope that this thesis will expand the necessity of organizing an elementary information curriculum that reflects core competencies in the 2022 revised curriculum.

  • The research of course-embedded learning evaluation method, which can be used to measure the competency of learners by evaluation of learning outcomes, has been performed for competency-based education in the university. In this paper, we propose an learning evaluation and adaptive feedback model based on learning outcomes, learning subjects, learning concepts graph, and an evaluation matrix. Firstly, we define the layered learning outcomes, a graph of learning subjects and concepts, and two association matric. Secondly, we define algorithms to calculate the level of learning achievement and the learning feedback to learners. We applied the proposed method to a specific course, "Java Programing", to validate the effectiveness of our method. The experimental results show that our proposed method can be useful to measure the learning achievement of learners and provide adaptive feedbacks to them.

A Study on Effective Operation Methods of Computer Subject in Middle School Curriculum (중학교 컴퓨터 교과의 효율적인 운영방법에 관한 연구)

  • It has been increased the importance of computer education for the knowledge information society. However day by day. But computer education is currently operated with elective subjects in discretion action scope in a middle school. These operation of elective subjects brings a tended to neglect computer course, and inappropriate class number operated from this operation deteriorates reality and efficacy of computer education. Therefore, this paper compared and analyzed various operation methods of elective subjects that have been currently operated and grasped various problems to appear according to operation methods. When computer subject is operated using results from analyzing these problems, we find the most suitable way and provide sufficient references to operate computer subject in school education.

Problem Analysis and Recommendations of Memory Contents in High School Informatics Textbooks (고등학교 정보 교과서에 제시된 기억 장치 영역 내용의 문제점 분석 및 개선 방안)

  • One of the major goals in high school Informatics is for students to develop creative problem-solving abilities based on knowledge on computer science. Thus, the contents of the textbooks should be accurate and appropriate. However, we discovered that the current Informatics textbooks contain the untrue and/or inappropriate descriptions of main memory and virtual memory. The textbooks describe that main memory is composed of RAM and ROM. The virtual memory is described as a technique in which a part of the secondary storage is utilized as main memory to execute an application of which size is larger than that of main memory. In this study, we attempted to uncover the root causes of the fallacies, and suggest the accurate explanations by comparing with renowned books adopted in most schools worldwide including USA. Our study reveals that it is inappropriate to include ROM in main memory from the memory hierarchy perspective. Virtual memory is a technique that provides convenience to programmers, through which an operating system loads the necessary portion of a program from secondary storage to main memory. As for the advantages of virtual memory in the current computer systems, the focus should be on providing the effective multitasking capability, rather than on executing a larger program than the size of main memory. We suggest that it is appropriate to exclude virtual memory in textbooks considering its complexity.

  • 제7차 교육과정에서 컴퓨터 과목은 정보사회에서 원만한 생활을 하기 위하여 컴퓨터를 단순히 도구적으로 활용하는데 그쳐 정작 컴퓨터 교과가 지향하는 목표를 달성하지 못하였다. 2007년 개정 교육과정을 통해 '정보'라는 명칭으로 변경하여 컴퓨터 과학의 원리를 바탕으로 정보 과학과 기술에 대한 올바른 지식습득 및 여러 가지 문제를 해결하는 능력을 향상시켜 정보 과목의 정체성을 확립하고 있다. 본 논문은 정보교과 내용을 바탕으로 학생들이 보다 쉽게 이해할 수 있도록 동적 놀이로 하는 학습형태로 개발하였다. 이를 통해 학생들이 흥미를 가지게 되며 학업성취도에도 영향을 조사하고 분석한다.

  • 현재 초등학교의 정보통신기술교육 내용은 실생활에서 컴퓨터를 도구로 활용한 교과 학습이 대부분이다. 그러나 컴퓨터의 기초개념과 원리를 이해시킬 수 있는 학습과정이 부족하여 컴퓨터교과목에 대한 학업성취도와 지적 능력 신장에 한계점을 가지고 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 오토마타를 이용한 놀이중심의 학습 프로그램을 개발 적용하여 컴퓨터의 기초원리 학습시 학습자의 학업 성취도를 향상 시킬 수 있는 프로그램을 설계하였다.

  • 제17차 교육과정에서는 ICT 활용교육을 기본적인 정보소양 능력을 바탕으로 학습 및 일상 문제해결에 정보통신 기술을 적극적으로 활용하여 자연스럽게 학생들의 정보소양을 함양시키도록 함에 따라 이러한 웹기반의 ICT 활용교육에 관한 많은 연구가 진행되고 있다. 지금까지의 중학교 컴퓨터 교과의 ICT활용교육에 대한 연구는 각종 멀티미디어나 웹기반 교수-학습매체들의 개발을 강조하였으며 실질적인 활용방안에 대한 연구는 미비하였다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 중학교 컴퓨터교과의 ICT활용교육에 대한 중학교 컴퓨터교과의 실태를 분석하여 자기주도적 학습을 위한 문제해결력 향상에 대한 교수-학습모형을 제시하고 웹 기반 교수학습매체를 개발하여 학습의 효과와 학업성취도를 평가하고자 한다.

  • 본 논문에서는 메이커 교육을 기초로 인공지능 챗봇 수업을 개발하였다. 세부적으로 R. M. Gagne(1985)에 9가지 이론을 기초로 정보교과 문제해결과 프로그래밍 단원의 지도안을 작성 후 평가를 제시하였다. 연구 내용 분석 결과 교육현장에서 인공지능 교육의 필요성이 강조되며 확고한 플랫폼 구축(인공지능 플랫폼)과 빅데이터 분석·확보하여 개인 맞춤형 서비스 제공이 필요하다. 본 논문을 토대로 인공지능 교육의 체계적인 연구 활성화에 시발점이 되었으면 한다.

A Study on Designing an Undergraduate Curriculum in Digital Forensics per Stages for Developing Human Resource (디지털 포렌식 인력 양성을 위한 단계별 대학 교과과정 설계에 관한 연구)

  • It is a current situation that a large number of physical and financial damages are increasing due to the growth of intellectual cyber crime and unexpected Internet incidents year by year. In the large scale security incidents, digital forensics techniques for computer crime investigations are essential to secure a place in the field. However, qualified digital forensics investigators who complete with digital security technology are practically insufficient in domestic. In this paper, as one of developing human resources plans regarding to scientific investigation of Internet security incidents, an undergraduate curriculum per stage in digital forensics was proposed. For the effective curriculum per stage, the interviews, group discussion on focused group of existing digital forensics investigators and related research were performed to select curriculum, and then the level of difficulty and practical suitability on each subject designed were analyzed through survey and interview to current investigators and security professionals. After collating the survey, the digital forensic curriculum per level was designed to highly adaptable workforce for the future for working and positive suggestions and proposals are addressed.
