New Directions for School Algebra in ICT based Society (ICT시대의 대수교육의 방향과 과제)

  • The relevance of secondary school algebra focused on paper and pencil manipulation has been reconsidered along with the expansion of universal education and the development of ICT such as computer or calculators. This study was designed to investigate the issues and trends of the recent algebra so as to provide implementations for algebra curriculum in Korea. The focus of algebra education has being shifted from paper pencil manipulation to algebraic thinking. The early algebra or informal algebra is one of the important traits of revolution, and the role of ICT is integrated in newly developed curricula. In Korea, algebra education has been retaining the traditional line even though the national curriculum documents allows ICT for instruction. The reasons of these discrepancies were analyzed and the tasks for the new curriculum in accordance with the current trends were suggested in this paper.

  • In recent years, with the rapid development of artificial intelligence technology and an explosion of interest in it, education on artificial intelligence is spreading to various fields. As a result, many universities are establishing artificial intelligence-related departments or expanding their quota. In line with this trend, University C has newly established the AI operation department in line with the industrial base in the region. In this paper, a curriculum was developed for the newly established AI operation department, and this curriculum was designed and developed focusing on subjects reflecting the demands of industries based on AIOps (Artificial intelligence for IT Operations). To this end, a consultative body was formed with industry experts, and opinions were collected through a survey.

  • In this research, Integrated program base on heat transfer & numerical analysis was developed. Also, reaction of gifted student and possibility of application of this program was surveyed. This program consist in three parts. The first part is computer programing language, the second part is numerical modeling of physical phenomena, and the third part is numerical analysis. 4 students are selected who belong to mathematic class of CNUE(Cheoungju National Univ. of Edu.)'s Gifted Student Education Center. The Program consists in 15th lessens, and each lessen need 4hr. Application possibility and student's satisfaction of the program are studied through the interview and report of the student. Three of four students are accomplish the goal of the progarm. Computer programing and numerical analysis parts were relatively well understood, but numerical modeling part was difficult to students. The satisfaction of the program is dependent on the characteristics of the student. Most of the student thought that this program was one of the science education program. The student who have interested in only mathematics shows that low satisfaction but the one who have interested in science or information technology shows that high satisfaction.

A study on the reform of the liberal arts curriculum based on key competencies for the innovation of liberal arts education in Universities (대학 교양교육 혁신을 위한 핵심역량 기반 교양 교육과정 개편에 대한 연구 -C 대학 사례를 중심으로)

  • The 21st century of the 4th industrial revolution demands 'competency' as a new educational concept that is different from that required in the industrialization era. In accordance with these changes and demands of society, universities are being called for key competency-based education and innovation in education through this by breaking away from the existing methods in liberal arts and major education. At this point, universities are presenting a comprehensive reform of liberal arts education for various financial support projects. This study presents the case of University C regarding the reform of the liberal arts curriculum for the innovation of liberal arts education in universities. According to the research results, each university is reorganizing the liberal arts curriculum in a way that can suggest various key competencies according to the university's founding philosophy and induce key competencies in the aspect of liberal arts education. For the key competency-based liberal arts curriculum of University C, we proposed various subjects for insufficient key competency subjects, various micro-degrees were proposed to specialize liberal arts education, and meta-learning-related liberal arts subjects were presented to improve basic learning ability of the students.

  • 질문 생성이란 구절이 입력되면 구절에서 답을 찾을 수 있는 질문을 자동으로 생성하는 작업으로 교육용 시스템, 대화 시스템, QA 시스템 등 다양한 분야에서 중요한 역할을 한다. 질문 생성에서 정답의 단어가 질문에 포함되는 문제점을 해결하기 위해 구절과 정답을 분리한다. 하지만 구절과 정답을 분리하게 되면 구절에서 정답의 정보가 손실되고, 정답에서는 구절의 문맥 정보가 손실되어 정답 유형에 맞는 질문을 생성할 수 없는 문제가 발생된다. 본 논문은 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 분리된 정답과 구절의 정보를 연결시켜주는 정답과 구절의 공동 주의 집중 계층을 제안한다. 23,658개의 질문-응답 쌍의 말뭉치를 이용한 실험에서 정답과 구절의 공동 주의 집중 계층이 성능 향상에 기여해 우수한 성능(BLEU-26.7, ROUGE-57.5)을 보였다.

Development of a Scale for Measuring Learning Outcomes in a Distance Teacher Training Program (교원의 원격연수프로그램 성과측정 도구개발)

  • The purpose of the study is to develop a scale for measuring learning outcomes in the distance teacher training programs. In order to develop the measurement instrument, the forty-four items were developed based on the literature review and ten experts' review. For data collection, a web-based survey was conducted among teachers taking a distance teacher training program at National Education Training Institute. With the data of 205 sample size from the first survey, the Exploratory Factor Analysis was conducted and seven factors were identified. In order to validate the test, the Confirmatory Factor Analysis was performed with 293 respondents from the second survey. In conclusion, this study reports the reliability and validity of a scale for learning outcomes in distance teacher training programs consisting of seven factors with 34 items; 1) system quality, 2) content quality, 3) service quality, 4) use, 5) benefit, 6) satisfaction, 7) transfer.

  • As creativity and problem-solving ability become core competencies, the main objectives of programming subjects in the elementary and secondary educational curriculum is 'computational thinking'. This goal can not be achieved at the level of understanding the characteristics of the programming language and the simple utilization abilities of the computer. The abilities to write algorithms and solve problems in real life situations using programming languages are required. In order to cultivate these abilities, the curriculum of the programming area was strengthened in the elementary and middle education curriculum, and the criteria for evaluating the achievement level were also prepared. However, the curriculum that can be used in actual education field is not yet established. In this study, we analyzed the researches on the existing programming curriculum and evaluated how well the curriculum meets the achievement criteria. Also, we can suggest the aspects to be considered in the study of programming curriculum and to verify whether the results of curriculum operation are in line with achievement criteria. In addition, future directions in elementary and middle school programming curriculum are suggested.

  • Now Broadcasting system of TV has been developed from analogue to digital we call that IPTV(Internet Protocol Television) or DCATV(Digital Cable Television). But, The characteristics of digital broadcasting is the high-quality contents of easily and almost no damage piracy, and Copyright loss is increasing by Internet, P2P(Peer to Peer) and personal path. Nevertheless user's permissions that recorded and reuse of broadcasting can't restraint, And Training Materials etc. use of fair program needs to be separated from illegality. In this paper using a digital certificate permit the use of stored program to authorized user and user of fair purpose, And illegal distribution of restriction design and implement a distribution system.

Perceived Usefulness and Attitude toward Smart-glass for First-aid Remote Support among Coast Guards in Korea (응급처치 원격지도용 스마트글래스 사용에 대한 한국 해양경찰의 인지된 유용성 및 태도)

  • This study was to investigate the types of emergencies transported by the Southwestern Coast Guard, the need for telemedicine guidance, and the perception and attitude of smart glasses as a communication method targeting 31 coast guards. A relatively high frequency and training requirement were confirmed for bleeding, abrasion, and abdominal pain. The demand for telemedicine guidance on medication and triage was higher, and the perceived usefulness and attitude scores for the use of smart glasses were 3.76±0.61 and 3.64±0.45, respectively. A moderate correlation between perceived usefulness and attitude toward smart glasses was confirmed (r=.630, p<.01). With the development of technology, it is time to actively introduce new devices such as smart glasses.

  • The conventional paper retrieval is the keyword-based search and as a huge amount of data be published, this search becomes more difficult in retrieving information that user want to find. In order to search for information to the user's intent, we need to introduce semantic Web that represents semantics of Web document resources on the Internet environment as ontology and enables the computer to understand this ontology. Therefore, we describe a paper retrieval system through OWL(Ontology Web Language) ontology-based reason in this paper. We build the paper ontology based on OWL which is new popular ontology language for semantic Web and represent the correlation among diverse paper properties as the DL(description logic) query, and then this system infers the correct results from the paper ontology by using the DL query and makes it possible to retrieve information intelligently. Finally, we compared our experimental result with the conventional retrieval.
