The systems in the ubiquitous computing environment need to provide users with context-aware services, intelligently interacting with the surrounding environment. Therefore, the systems in the ubiquitous computing environment require context-awareness ability in order to gather and analyze context information in various situations and environments. However, existing context-aware systems lack the ability to systematically generate and handle various types of context information, and only a few systems have ability learning from environment. In this paper, a general context model is defined to describe various contexts and a context-awareness framework is implemented based in the model, which makes it straightforward to handle and generate various types of context from diverse sensor. The framework is designed to allow a system to sensed, combined, inferred, and learned context information, in order to provide users with services in dynamic environments. We have implemented the proposed framework and applied it to a u-Health management system.

According to the growth of wireless networks, and the spread of mobile devices, the provision of recommender services to help consumers find items to purchase with the use of the suited contexts is an important issue in mobile commerce. In this paper, we propose a proactive mobile commerce service that enables a consumer to obtain relevant information efficiently by using differentiated recommendation in context-aware environment. This paper describes the recommendation method and presents grocery shopping application prototype that implement the method. Several experiments are performed and the results verify that the proposed method's recommendation performance is better than other existing methods.

유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅에서 사용자에게 필요한 서비스를 지능적으로 제공하기 위해서는 컨텍스트 정보의 효과적인 필터링이 필요하다. 현재까지 사용되고 있는 필터링 기술은 온라인상에서 사용되는 사용자 정보를 기준으로 서비스를 제공하고 있다. 하지만 휴대용 유$\cdot$무선기기에서 컨텍스트 인식에 기반을 둔 서비스를 제공하기 위해서는 복잡한 필터링과정과 큰 저장 공간이 요구된다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 사용자 주변에 널려 있는 센서를 통해 입력된 컨텍스트 정보들을 효율적으로 필터링하여 사용자에게 필요한 서비스만을 제공하도록 하였다. 이를 위해서 기존의 P2P 모바일 에이전트에서 사용되는 협력적 필터링 기술에 Naive Bayesian 알고리즘을 혼합한 컨텍스트 협력적 필터링 알고리즘을 제안한다.

정보 통신 기술의 발달로 사람들은 언제 어디서나 정보에 접근하고 서비스를 받을 수 있게 되었다. 이러한 기술의 발전은 로봇에도 영향을 미치고 있고 언제 어디서나 나와 함께 하며 나에게 필요한 서비스를 제공하는 네트워크 기반 로봇을 개발 중에 있다. 이러한 로봇을 URC 라고 하는데 이 URC 가 사용자에게 맞는 서비스를 제공하기 위해서 상황인지 기능이 필요하다. 이에 본 논문에서는 로봇 서비스를 표현할 수 있는 상황인지 워크플로우 언어(CAWL)를 바탕으로 상황인지 URC 서비스를 제공하기 위한 컨텍스트 비교기를 제안한다. 컨텍스트 비교기는 트리플릿으로 표현된 사용자 주변 환경으로부터 발생하는 동적인 상황 정보를 로봇, 센서, 모바일 등의 상황정보를 저장하고 있는 온톨로지와 비교하여 현재의 상황을 인식할 수 있는 모듈이다. 제안하는 컨텍스트 비교기를 이용하여 상황에 따른 서비스를 제공할 수 있다.

Ontology has many merits such as high expression power and extensibility etc. and there are some suggestion on development of ubiquitous environment using ontology. For collecting and analysing the context information in ubiquitous environment, we need a context-awareness system. For these reason, some context-awareness systems have been developed using ontology, but they have insufficient representation power of context information and are independent to domain. In this paper, we define the context type to improve the extensibility of context framework, and develop the context ontology adopting the defined contort type to represent or inference various context information. We define the ontology to be easily adopted the and domain. Also, we use SWRL to represent numerical formulas and Horn-Logic expression.

상황은 실세계에 존재하는 실체의 상태를 특징화하여 요약한 정보로 정의될 수 있으며, 상황인식은 이러한 상황 정보의 상호 작용에 의하여 인간의 현재 상황을 특성화 할 수 있는 기술적 방법을 의미한다. 실세계의 상태를 표현하는 것은 정보의 표현 및 지식 표현과 관련되며, 상황인식 컴퓨팅은 이러한 지식 표현 방법에서 출발한다고 할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 앞서 말한 상황인식 능력을 지향하는 시스템, 즉 지능형 홈 서비스를 제공하는 상황인식 컴퓨팅 시스템을 제안한다. 본 논문에서는 가정 내에 설치된 센서장치로부터 사용자 생체 신호 데이터와 환경 데이터를 획득하한 후에, 획득된 컨텍스트 데이터를 정규화하고, 정규화된 컨텍스트 데이터를 패턴인식 알고리즘을 통하여 처리한 후에 자동적으로 지능형 홈오토메이션 서비스를 제공하는 게이트웨이에 대한 설계에 대하여 서술한다.

상황 인식(context-awrare)은 인간-컴퓨터 상호작용의 단점을 극복하기 위한 방법으로써 많은 주목을 받고 있다. 이 논문에서는 SoC(System-on-a-Chip)로 구현될 수 있는 상황 인식 시스템 구조를 제안한다. 제안한 구조는 센서 추상화, 컨텍스트 변경에 대한 통지 메커니즘, 모듈식 개발, if-then규칙을 이용한 쉬운 서비스 구성과 유연한 상황 인식 서비스 구현을 지원한다. 이 구조는 통신 모듈, 처리 모듈, 블랙보드를 포함하는 SoC 마이크로프로세서 부분과 규칙 기반 시스템 모듈을 구현한 하드웨어로 구성된다. 규칙 기반 시스템 하드웨어는 모든 규칙의 조건부에 대해 매칭 연산을 병렬로 수행하고, 규칙의 결론부는 마이크로프로세서에 내장된 행위 모듈을 호출함으로써 작업을 수행한다. 제안한 구조의 SoC 시스템은 SystemC SoC 개발 환경에서 설계되고, 성공적으로 테스트되었다. 제안한 SoC 기반의 상황 인식 시스템 구조는 주거 환경에서 컨텍스트를 인식하여 노인을 보조하는 지능형 이동 로봇 등에 적용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

Recently the computing environment has been moved to open architectures that include Web technologies. Web Service is one of import component of the new paradigm. This paper presents a design and implementation of GIS Web Service for mobile devices. As many mobile devices are equipped with GPS (Global Positioning System), it is required to handle the position information more effectively. We have extended the proxy program in the client device to actively send the context information to the server. Based on the context information the server determines the optimal service mode to a particular client. A working example of location?based GIS Web Service is also presented. By using Web Service standards and XML messages we can achieve the maximal interoperability for heterogeneous mobile devices.

컴퓨터가 우리의 일상적 환경으로 스며드는 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 환경에서의 인터페이스는 '컨텍스트 인식'과 더불어 이용자들과의 '긍정적인 사회적 관계'를 형성할 수 있어야 한다. 본 연구에서는 이 두 가지의 관점을 충족시킬 수 있는 인터페이스 에이전트의 유형으로 '자기를 노출하는 에이전트'를 제안하고, 에이전트의 자기노출에 대한 사용자의 사회적 반응을 측정하였다. 실험 결과, 1) 에이전트로부터 친밀성이 높은 노출을 받은 피험자들은 더 깊은 자기노출을, 많은 양의 자기노출을 받은 피험자들은 더 많은 양의 자기노출을 하였다. 2) 에이전트 자기노출의 깊이가 깊을수록 에이전트에 대한 호감과 신뢰는 감소하였다. 3) 피험자들은 처음 만난 자리에서 극히 개인적인 노출을 하는 에이전트보다는 일반적인 노출을 하는 에이전트와 장기적으로 더 친밀해질 것이라고 예측하였다. 이러한 결과는 컨텍스트를 인식하는 인터페이스 에이전트로 자기노출 에이전트를 이용할 경우 사용자의 심리적 구조를 파악하는데 효과적임을 보여주며, 단기적인 사용자 정보의 추출보다는 장기적 관점에서 호감과 신뢰를 쌓을 수 있는 이용자와 에이전트의 사회적 관계 달성이 우선적으로 고려되어야 함을 시사한다.
