In this paper we propose wear-UCAM, which is a toolkit for context-aware application model in wearable computing. As the rapid developments of mobile technologies and relevant technologies, the interests in wearable computer also become indispensible in both academic and industrial fields. However, there are few research activities on the application framework or toolkit for wearable computing. Hence, we suggest wear-UCAM as the development toolkit for wearable computing applications, where we focus on how to collect relevant user context, manage it, and provide services based on the recognized context. The proposed wear-UCAM includes the abstraction of context processing as well as independence among sensors and services with other components. For the sake of rapid prototyping of the proposed toolkit, we utilize PDA with wireless LAN as a wearable computer. The detail explanation of the implementation and its discussion are presented in this paper.

유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 환경에서는 사용자 주변의 센서로부터 각종 컨텍스트 정보를 입력받아 사용자를 식별하고 필요한 자원을 분배하는 과정이 중요하다. 하지만 사용자 식별 및 자원 분배 과정에서 특정 사용자에 의해 자원의 독점 현상이 발생되기 때문에 다른 사용자들에게 효과적으로 자원을 분배할 수 없다. 이를 위해 센서와 자원의 공유에 대한 연구가 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 휴대용 모바일 장치에서 사용자의 컨텍스트 인식과 자원의 공유를 위하여 P2P 방식을 적용한 지능형 P2P 모바일 에이전트를 제안한다. 제안하는 구조는 사용자 주변의 센서와 서비스 자원을 공유함으로써 특정 자원에 대한 독점성을 제거하고, 효과적인 사용자 컨텍스트 인식 및 서비스 지원을 목적으로 한다.

As the mobile environment becomes widely used, there is a growth on the concern about recognizing and sharing user context. Sharing context makes the interaction between human more plentiful as well as helps to keep a good social relationship. Recently, it has been applied to some messengers or mobile applications with sharing simple contexts, but it is still required to recognize and share more complex and diverse contexts. In this paper, we propose a context-aware messenger that collects various sensory information, recognizes representative user contexts such as emotion, stress, and activity by using dynamic Bayesian networks, and visualizes them. It includes a modular model that is effective to recognize various contexts and displays them in the form of icons. We have verified the proposed method with the scenario evaluation and usability test.

In this paper, we introduce smart home service based on ubiquitous environment and context awareness. We define the multi- context environment and the context collision caused by many user that the existing study of smart home is unconcerned with. Heal home is the space where various contexts are created and disappeared in. Smart home appliances are restricted within their service. We divide the home space by main uses of rooms and group smart service by sensory organ. And we introduce the multi-context manager consist with context interpreter, context collision manager and smart service manager.

Context-Aware is the most important facts to reason a personalized and optimized service and to provide it to user. In the previous researches, user and surrounding environment were main facts of Context-Aware and middleware or center server has been proposed to support Context-Aware. In the daily space(for example, home, office, Car, etc), interactions between user and service can be a important facts of Context-Aware. In this paper, Context Autogenesis service model is introduced, simplified the Context-Aware process and designed the middleware which performs decentralize management for Context-Aware information of user's portable devices, so that problems occurred during the management and operation of existing Context-Aware system can be minimized and supporting user anonymity

상황은 실세계에 존재하는 실체의 상태를 특징화하여 요약한 정보로 정의될 수 있으며, 상황인식은 이러한 상황 정보의 상호 작용에 의하여 인간의 현재 상황을 특성화 할 수 있는 기술적 방법을 의미한다. 실세계의 상태를 표현하는 것은 정보의 표현 및 지식 표현과 관련되며, 상황인식 컴퓨팅은 이러한 지식 표현 방법에서 출발한다고 할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 앞서 말한 상황인식 능력을 지향하는 시스템, 즉 지능형 홈 서비스를 제공하는 상황인식 컴퓨팅 시스템을 제안한다. 본 논문에서는 가정 내에 설치된 센서장치로부터 사용자 생체 신호 데이터와 환경 데이터를 획득하한 후에, 획득된 컨텍스트 데이터를 정규화하고, 정규화된 컨텍스트 데이터를 패턴인식 알고리즘을 통하여 처리한 후에 자동적으로 지능형 홈오토메이션 서비스를 제공하는 게이트웨이에 대한 설계에 대하여 서술한다.

본 논문은 유비쿼터스(Ubiquitous) 컴퓨팅 환경에서 이루어지고 있던 기존의 확률 중심의 사용자 패턴 인식에 의한 서비스를 제공하는 방식과는 다른 컨텍스트(context)들이 동적으로 변화하는 상황에 능동적으로 대처하는 통합 컨텍스트 인지 모델을 제안한다. 사용자에게 가장 익숙하고 보편적인 환경인 홈에서 얻어 낼 수 있는 다양한 정보들을 통합 분석한 정보를 이용하여 사용자에게 개별화된 서비스를 제공할 수 있는 통합 컨텍스트 인지 모델을 제안한다.

In order to develop an application software for context-awareness techniques, we should program both all decisions on variable con-text-awareness and appropriate process with some program languages. These cause a loss of software production and unlimited repetition of program code. In this paper, we implement a context script language and language processor which can simplify a series of involved process acquired for context-awareness and describe them clearly. In addition, it can represent a definitions of context as standard syntax as well as accomplish them automatically. The proposed context script language provides functionality which can not only define efficiently a given context but also describe a variety of context with general purpose. Aiso, for the usefulness of the language processor, we build an application system which can provide music play service based on context-awareness.

유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅에 대한 연구의 일환으로 사용자의 상황이나 의도를 파악하여 최적의 서비스를 제공하는 방법에 대한 연구가 활성화되고 있다. 최근 이러한 연구의 일환으로 온톨로지를 이용한 상황인식 시스템이 제기되고 있는데, 이는 컨텍스트에 대한 다양한 표현력 및 뛰어난 확장성을 가지고 있기 때문이다. 본 논문에서는 기존 연구에서 부족했던 컨텍스트의 정형화된 표현 및 다양한 도메인에 대한 확장성을 보완한 온톨로지 기반의 Context-awareness Framework 을 설계하였다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 Framework 은 하위 컨텍스트를 사전처리 및 Fuzzy 를 이용하여 상위 컨텍스트로 변환하며 이를 하나의 통합된 컨텍스트인 상황(Situation)으로 표현함으로써 추론 및 서비스를 유연하게 제공할 수 있다.
