Design of an Efficient Electrocardiogram Measurement System based on Bluetooth Network using Sensor Network (Bluetooth기반의 센서네트워크를 이용한 효율적인 심전도 측정시스템 설계)

  • The convergence tendency accelerates the realization of the ubiquitous healthcare (u-Healthcare) between the technology including the power generaation and IT-BT-NT of the ubiquitous computing technology. By rapidly analyzing a large amount of collected from the sensor network with processing and delivering to the medical team an u-Healthcare can provide a patient for an inappropriate regardless of the time and place. As to the existing u-Healthcare, since the sensor node all transmitted collected data by using with the Zigbee protocol the processing burden of the base node was big and there was many communication frequency of the sensor node. In this paper, the u-Healthcare system in which it can efficiently apply to mobile apparatuses it provided the transfer rate in which it is superior to the bio-signal delivery where there are the life and direct relation which by using the Bluetooth instead of the Zigbee protocol and in which it is variously used in the ubiquitous environment was designed. Moreover, by applying the EEF(Embedded Event Filtering) technique in which data in which it includes in the event defined in advance selected and it transmits with the base node, the communication frequency and were reduced. We confirmed to be the system in which it is efficient through the simulation result than the existing Electrocardiogram Measurement system.

Adaptation of SVC to Packet Loss and its Performance Analysis (패킷 손실에 대한 스케일러블 비디오(SVC) 적응기법 및 성능분석)

  • SVC (Scalable Video Coding) is a new video coding standard to provide convergence media service in heterogeneous environments with different networks and diverse terminals through spatial-temporal-quality combined flexible scalabilities. This paper presents the performance analysis on packet loss in the delivery of SVC over IP networks and an efficient adaptation method to packet loss caused by buffer overflow. In particular, SVC with MGS (Medium Grained Scalability) as well as spatial and temporal scalabilities is addressed in the consideration of packet-based adaptation since finer adaptation is possible with a sufficient numbers of quality layers in MGS. The effect on spatio-temporal quality due to the packet loss of SVC with MGS is evaluated. In order to minimize quality degradation resulted by packet loss, the proposed adaptation of MGS based SVC first sets adaptation unit of AU (Access Unit) or GOP corresponding to allowed delay and then selectively discards packets in order of importance in terms of layer dependency. In the experiment, the effects of packet loss on quantitative qualities are analyzed and the effectiveness of the proposed adaptation to packet loss is shown.

  • The smartphone is simply beyond the means of communication equipment, to line up the turning point of mobile convergence, is recognized as a service tool of new concept the camera, game, multimedia function, digital multimedia broadcasting, mobile internet etc, that use of smartphone is working toward developed a variety and new business models. The study is empirically studied casualties that self-determination influences flow and satisfaction which is intrinsic motivation of smartphone. There are many studies on flow, is intrinsic motivation, influencing satisfaction and Loyalty, but there are little studies which variables influences flow. this study is explore causality of autonomy, competence, relatedness which are major variables of self-determination theory that studied factors effecting intrinsic motivation influencing flow and satisfaction. This study developed a research model to explain the use of smartphone, and collected 670 survey responses from the office workers of seoul S company who had experiences with such smartphone. To prove the validity of the proposed research model, SEM analysis is applied with valid 670 questionnaires. The results, firstly, autonomy positively influences flow. secondly, competence significantly influences flow. thirdly, relatedness significantly influenced flow. also, upper above results shows that flow influences satisfaction.

Analysis of the Danmu Phenomenon on the Chinese Video Platform Bilibili - Focused on Henry Jenkins' Concept of Participatory Culture (중국 동영상 플랫폼 Bilibili의 탄막 현상 분석- 헨리 젠킨스의 참여문화 개념을 중심으로)

  • This paper analyzes the danmu phenomenon with the concept of participatory culture proposed by Henry Jenkins. Unlike other comments, Danmu is a function that allows users to post anonymously while watching a video, and comments posted at that time are immediately displayed on the screen and can be viewed by other viewers. The service was first launched by Niconico. In this paper, the danmu phenomenon in the Chinese video platform Bilibili is analyzed by focusing on three aspects. First, in terms of creative sharing under collective intelligence, we explore how users create their own creations and share them with other users through danmu. Second, in the collaboration model under public participation, the method and meaning of collective cooperation through users' interaction is dealt with. Third, in terms of financial support of commercial capital, the influence of danmu videos to create commercial profits is analyzed as a case. In addition, the negative aspects and challenges of participatory culture in Bilibili are analyzed. Negative aspects such as participation gap, copyright infringement, excessive use of danmu and problems of anonymity were reviewed, and major challenges to realize the potential of danmu as a participatory culture were suggested. This paper comprehensively analyzes danmu using research methods such as literature review and case studies, and through this, tries to derive insights on how participatory culture and danmu interact and evolve in modern society. Danmu, as a participatory medium, is an important tool that promotes individual and collective creation and interaction, and is pioneering a new boundary between the media industry and its users.

Market Segmentation of Converging New Media Advertising: The Interpretative Approach Based on Consumer Subjectivity (융합형 뉴미디어 광고의 시장세분화 연구: 소비자 주관성에 근거한 해석적 관점에서)

  • The purpose of this research is to perform the consumer typological study of integrated emerging digital advertisement, where IT and advertisement industry were fused, and to propose the theoretical definition about consumer characteristic which is in need for collection of related market subdivision strategy in perspective of business marketing. For this, the Q methodology, the 'subjectivity' research of qualitative perspective, which discovers new theory by interpreting subjective system of thinking, preference, opinion, and recognition of inner side of respondents, was applied and analyzed. Compared to previous quantitative research that pursues hypothesis verification, this Q methodology is not dependent on operational definition proposed by researcher but pursues for analytic study completely reflecting objective testimony of respondents. For this reason, Q study analyzes in-depth the actual consumer type, which can be found at the initial market formation stage of new service, therefore this study is applicable for theorizing the consumer character as a mean of advanced research. This study extracted thirty 'IT integrated digital advertisement type (Q sample)' from thorough literature research and interviews, and eventually discovered a total four consumer types from analyzing each Q sorting research data of 40 respondents (P sample). Moreover, by interpreting subdivided intrinsic characteristic of each group, the four types were named as 'multi-channel digital advertisement pursuit type', 'emotional advertisement pursuit type', 'new media advertisement pursuit type', and Web 2.0 advertisement pursuit type'. The analysis result of this study is being expected for its value of usage as advanced research of academic and industrial research with the emerging digital advertisement industry as a subject, and as basic research in the field of R&D, Marketing program and the field of designing the advertisement creative strategy and related policy.
