The Influence of Negative Emotions on Customer Contribution to Organizational Innovation in an Online Brand Community (온라인 브랜드 커뮤니티 내 부정적 감정들이 기업 혁신을 위한 고객 기여에 미치는 영향)

  • In recent years, online brand communities, whereby firms and customers interact freely, are emerging trend, because customers' opinions collected in these communities can help firms to achieve their innovation effectively. In this study, we examined whether customer opinions containing negative emotions have influence on their adoption for organizational innovation. To that end, we firstly classified negative emotions into five categories of detailed negative emotions such as Fear, Anger, Shame, Sadness, and Frustration. Then, we developed a lexicon for each category of negative emotions, using WordNet and SentiWordNet. From 81,543 customer opinions collected from MyStarbucksIdea.com which is Starbucks' brand community, we extracted terms that belong to each lexicon. We conducted an experiment to examine whether the existence, frequency and strength of terms with negative emotions in each category affect the adoption of customer opinions for organizational innovation. In the experiment, we statistically verified that there is a positive relationship between customer ideas containing negative emotions and their adoption for innovation. Especially, Frustration and Sadness out of the five emotions are significantly influential to organizational innovation.

  • There are various approaches that retrieve information from video. However, previous approaches have considered just object information and relationship between objects without story information to retrieve contents. To retrieve exact information at video, we need analyzing approach based on characters and community since these are body of story proceeding. Therefore, this paper describes video information retrieval methodology based on character information. Characters progress story to form relationship through conversations. We can analyze the relationship between characters in a story with the methods that classifies role grades and clusters communities of characters. In this paper, for these, we propose the Character-net and describe how to classify role grades and cluster communities at Character-net. And we show this method to be efficient.

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the impact of community characteristics of induced participants on values, attitudes, and behaviors (VAB) and intention to continue participation. Convenience sampling (n=192) was used to sample the research subjects, and confirmatory factor analysis, correlation analysis, and structural equation modeling were conducted using SPSS 26.0 and AMOS 26.0. The results of this study are as follows. 1) Among the community attributes of the participants, reputation, enjoyment, interaction, and social connection had a significant impact. 2) Value-Attitude-Behavior (VAB) was found to have a significant hierarchical impact. 3) Behavioral intention was found to have a significant effect on continuation intention. Through this, the Judo community needs to build a participant-centered organizational culture that can create positive value in order to increase participants' participation in Judo.

The Cyber Transformation of Marketing Mix Model : An Empirical Study of Korean On-line Shopping Malls (마케팅 믹스 모델의 사이버 전환에 관한 실증적 연구)

  • This paper presents an analysis of how the business models of organizations are getting transformed in the Marketspace created by the Internet. We use a research model comprising the transformation scores of four Ps(Product, Price, Promotion, and Place) as dependent variables and three dimensions, Demographics, Technology, and Community elements on the Websites, as explaining variables about the Cyber Transformation of the 4Ps. While most existing literatures have focused on Website's technology, our research model includes 22 five-point-scale items; 10 Demographics /Technology items and 12 Community items. To measure the 4P's transformation scores, the authors selected 14 workable items from the Marketspace Model by Dutta, Kwan, & Segev(1997). A sample of 123 shopping mall Websites comprising three categories(grocery, jewelry/accessory, and cosmetics) from the 100hot.co.kr list are evaluated and the data is analyzed by SPSSWIN 8.0 version. The result shows that there are five significant factors, Technology, Interaction, Connectedness, Business Features, and Domain, while the average transformation scores of 4Ps are at very low level. The factor scores are used in regression analysis for each P. Two factors, Technology and Interaction are influencing all four Ps; Connectedness is influencing only two, Product and Place. Organizations must not simply take their existing business models. They have to adopt the Technology items(navigation, logo, e-mail, guide, graphics) and to facilitate the Interaction items(consulting, number/quality of bulletin boards, participation, offline events) and Connectedness(club activation, contents, partner/site link, entertainment contents) in order to get transformed in the Marketspace successfully in the near future.

  • The user model is an indispensable factor for providing users with personalized. services in the ubiquitous computing environment. In general user models, services which users prefer should be described in advance so that the system can recognize and interpret them automatically. Also, user's preferences as to the change of situation are not reflected in general user models due to their ignoring the situation. In this paper, we propose the self-growing user model which learns user experience and the system which automatically provides personalized community services through extracting user preferring services by situation.

  • As a new community forming environment, the blog platform enables sharing of the resources in blogosphere through active information exchange. Many researches have been performed to recommend appropriate resources to users from vast amounts of blog resources. As one of the solutions OSEM defines the knowledge base in the blogosphere with ontology for effectively modeling it. In this paper, we propose a technique of converting the knowledge base into the OWL ontology for sharing it on the semantic web environment. An inference method is then applied to the OWL ontology for recommending interest blog communities. For this aim, a mapping method is offered and then SWRL inference and SPARQL query based on the ontology are employed to extract interest blog communities.

  • This study suggests a framework which extracts features of collective intelligence from social Q&A community sites and takes advantage of those features upon vertical search for domain specific knowledge or information retrieval. One source of collective intelligence on the internet is the question and answer(Q&A) data available from many Q&A sites. Vertical search is focused on searching special areas or specific domains. This paper proposes a framework for extending the relevant terms by using Q&A information connected with query that the user wants to retrieve, and then applies them to specific domain field that requires professional and detailed knowledge.

  • 최근 컴퓨터 게임에 등장하는 NPC(Non-player Character)에 각종 인공지능 기법을 적용하는 연구들이 이루어지고 있다. 하지만 대부분의 연구가 플레이어를 상대하는 적대적 입장의NPC들의 움직임 조절에 초점을 맞추고 있고 아직까지 게임 상에서 등장하는 모든 NPC는 항상 같은 말과 비슷한 행동을 되풀이하는 모습만을 보여주고 있다. 이는 플레이어가 게임을 비현실적으로 느끼게 만들고 결과적으로 게임의 재미를 저하시키는 요소로 작용한다. 플레이어에게 보다 현실적인 게임 환경을 제공하기 위해서는NPC가 단순히 게임의 배경을 구성하는 오브젝트가 아니라 다양한 대화를 통해 플레이어에게 많은 영향을 주게 하여 게임의 기여도를 높여주어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 이를 위해 게임 속에서 주어지는 퀘스트를 구성하는 NPC, 몬스터, 보상 등의 속성 정보를 온톨로지화 하고, 인터넷에 존재하는 게임 커뮤니티에서 퀘스트 질의/응답 게시판의 글을 추출하여, 플레이어의 관련 질의에 응답하는 NPC를 구현하고자 한다. 이를 위해 온톨로지 정보를 이용한 검색 알고리즘을 구현하였고,시뮬레이션을 통해 NPC가 커뮤니티 게시글 정보를 이용하여 유저에게 고정되지 않은 다양한 메시지를 전달하면서 동시에 유저의 게임 진행을 도와주는 모습을 확인하였다.

  • This paper proposes an educational community service system that manages information of good quality intensively without overlapping, and that provides an effective searching function by using a personal community with many user layers. This system raises the efficiency of searching and management by using Metadata and Category. It is a self-leading educational community system that brings merits into relief and improves weak points. We constructed an autogenous Blog chain service as a tool which verifies this system, which is called 'EduLOG(Educational Blog) service' Especially we extracted Metadata suitable for this service, which is on the basis of worldfamous Dublin Core Metadata. And we made a new category on the basis of categories which were proposed by some educational community sites and public educational authorities, and we applied it to this system. To ascertain whether this service system provide adequate function or not, we made a questionnaire on the basis of the appraisal table in websites, and evaluated it at the request of experts. In view of the results so far achieved, it returned good scores (above 3.5/5.0) in accuracy of evaluation, low-end reappearance ratio, easiness of registering and approaching information, and intensive management of a categorical information, confirming the efficiency of the ECSS system. Therefore we believe firmly that the ECSS system will play a efficient information storing and searching roles in the near future.

  • Urban redevelopment make a short term effects without consideration about resident‘s lives. so, there are many problems and planners solve the problems to improve urban redevelopment based on resident leaded direction. The purpose of this research is to find inherent district which is character by residents. Most of them could be explained in relation to life, religious leadership, traditional cultural heritage and democratic movement. Group interviews at a field site were carried as the main methodology by people who have an intimate knowledge of the place facts. This research has implication on a cognitive and emotional community map of residents compared to the just physical and geographical map. The places and place recognition activities and movement can be a basic foundation for residents participation in improving their housing neighborhood environment.
