In this paper, we describe capstone-related courses in the Computer information department of Dongyang-Mirae University and propose a capstone design model for computer engineering discipline based on operating experiences during the last year. Class schedules and contents, etc are presented from the case studies of two courses on system analysis and design and graduation work(capstone design) opened in 2015. Towards the successful operation of capstone design targeted to training practical and talented professionals with creative problem-solving skills, we propose six execution steps along with principal activities and outputs: Course plan, Project plan, Development, Reporting, Evaluation of students and coursework, and Course feedback. The capstone design model of this study is characterized by presenting the necessity and importance of pre and post steps such as 'Course Plan' and 'Course reflux' from a macroscopic view and by applying software engineering techniques such as prototyping, configuration managements, etc to it.

The purpose of this study is to develop a capstone design program by applying a design thinking methodology to the digital healthcare field to cultivate creative convergence talents with complex and practical skills and understanding of new technologies required in the era of the 4th industrial revolution. To this end, we analyzed the literature and previous studies in the field of digital healthcare and capstone design and proposed a capstone design model and application plan in the field of digital healthcare. The effectiveness was confirmed through expert review, and the effectiveness was analyzed by pilot application of the capstone design program. This is meaningful in that it can be used as an operation guide that can be used step-by-step when applying the capstone design in the digital healthcare field.

This study is strategically researched to regain the signification of capstone design by correcting the errors neglected the importances of meetings in the convergent English translation capstone design. For this, intial-meetings were designed to be students-centered except for explaining some basic knowledge and information. Mid-meetings were completely students-centered for the students to present their ideas, debate the contents and give feedbacks to one another. Final-meetings were also students-centered for the students to adjust and confirm the results. To validate the importance of students-centered meetings, the qualitative study has been done through interviewing students. In the interviews, almost all of them said they had motivation, confidence, and self-efficacy. Finally attempting capstone design in the future, students-centered meetings should be considered important. Hopefully this kind of capstone design will be used and studied continuedly and lively as a useful method in the field of English education.

This is a thesis about the whole process of cooperative study for the project, 'Jeju Tamranun idea' which produced by Capstone Design Class in communication design Dept, Hongik University. The purpose of this thesis is to know the primary educational goal and essence of capstone design class and to find the enhancement plan for the local design industry. The exhibitional project, 'Jeju Tamranun idea' was operated three times by hongik university with the company based on Jeju from 2017 to 2019. After the research, There are three positive effects of this project which are the new social function of the discarded assignments, the improvement of educational standard through the autonomous competition, and the growth of students' social consciousness in the process of considering local industries. And there are several points to be reviewed for a better capstone design class with local design industries. It is necessary to utilize the untact system for solving distance issues. And also, absolute evaluations, giving equal reward, and copyright protection are needed. Lastly, the continuous development of the curriculum to improve local design industries is needed.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the effectiveness of Capstone Design Program on creative leadership, problem solving ability and critical thinking of nursing students. The subjects of 18 experiment groups taking course in nursing capstone design of U university in P city and 20 control group of K university in G city. Data were collected before and after nursing capstone design class using self-reported questionnaire. Students Creative leadership and problem solving ability showed significant showed improvements after the Capstone Design Program. Creative leadership, Problem solving ability and critical thinking was positively correlated and then Problem solving abilities appeared to be higher improved critical thinking. Therefore, it is recommended that sufficient repetitive practice is to be made in order to improve Creative Leadership, Problem solving ability and critical thinking.

This paper presents a case study on the assessment of program outcomes using the capstone design course based on 16-year management experience and improvements of the school of mechanical design and automation engineering in the seoul national university of science and technology. First, the program outcomes related with the capstone design course are introduced, and the assessment methods and items are described. Based on them, the assessment results in 2008 were obtained and a strategy to improve the results were built after analyzation. As for the strategy, we revealed the assessment items and good examples in an internet web site in advance. As a result, we were able to obtain about 3.3% improved assessment results in 2009. Finally, the validity, efficiency, internal stability, and sustainability of the assessment of the program outcomes using the capstone design course are addressed in terms of a notion of the course-embedded assessment.

Program learning outcome is widely used for assessing and improving program quality. There are various methodologies that can measure program quality and improve program learning outcomes. In this paper, we used formative approach in Capstone design course, since it is the most effective in terms of improving program learning outcomes due to the course's intrinsic nature. To integrate a formative approach into Capstone design course, we develop a feedback structure which is a key element in formative approach and define several sub phases that manage feedback structures and their own evaluation criteria. As a result, we observed a noticeable improvement for students performance in capstone design course.

Capstone design is silk engineering in the field of education, the program requires contractors, not the industrial ability to adapt with the creative overall design training programmes in design education in terms of the applicability of that remains to be seen. In this study, the University of art and industrial design major, konkuk University School of design of the Capstone design 2011 and take advantage of the performance, and the curriculum is mainly applied for the technology. Design and development should be followed for experimental studies and a wealth of knowledge for the creation of advanced technology and professional support for institutions and industries to improve practical skills and lessons based on the Convention. This course through the patent, utility model, design, intellectual property, such as money to improve the practical skills of students to gauge the capacity of enterprises through the design, companies will come up with a gauge, and enhancing the competitiveness of SMEs in the community support instrument.

The universities introduce and manage education program to improve the problem-solving ability directly associated with respective professional fields as breaking from lecture-concentrated management for the acquisition of knowledge. In this paper, we design and implement a system which standardizes forms of productions induced from capstone design and manages programs integrally according to the predefined schedules. The proposed system intends the successful management of capstone design which is most representative education program for improving practical business ability. Additionally, the system gives practical assistance for applying employment and entering higher educational institution through automatic producing portfolio which comprises total processes for capstone design.

This triangulation study was performed in order to analyze the team competency effect of a capstone design nursing research course, and to appraise the content of team activity experiences. Subjects were 99 nursing students who were educated in the capstone design nursing research at D university. The teamwork competency of nursing students was compared before and after class, and the team activity experiences in the capstone design nursing research class was analyzed through narrative data. Our results show significant increases after class in task performance competency (t=-2.166, p=0.033), which includes goal execution competency (t=-2,224, p=0.028). In the interpersonal competency category, leadership was significantly increased after class (t=-2.085, p=0.040). The 5 categories evaluated were 'difficulties in managing resources', 'aware of the importance of personal effort and competency', 'efforts to effectively distribute roles', 'to realize the importance of communication', and 'strengthen the competency needed for clinical practice'. Through this research, we confirm that the capstone design nursing research course is effective for improving teamwork competency, and it provides a positive team activity experience to nursing students. Taken together, our findings indicate that the capstone design nursing research course can be applied to improve the nursing research competency by strengthening teamwork competency.
