Development of Black Liquor Multiple-effect-evaporation Process Model to Predict Steam Savings (스팀 절감량 예측을 위한 흑액 다중 효용 증발 공정 모델 개발)

  • This study developed the black liquor evaporation process models using the multiple-effect-evaporator according to the number of effects to predict steam consumption. The developed models were divided into the black liquor preheating and evaporation processes, and a virtual reboiler was added to predict steam consumption. In simulation results, the steam consumption in the double-effect-evaporator was decreased by 48.9 %, and as the number of effects increased, the steam consumption was decreased. Finally, the steam consumption in the octuple-effect-evaporator was decreased by 61.2 %. Also, this study suggests a strategy for deriving the optimal number of effects in the process by analyzing the latent heat recovered from the saturated vapor produced in the multiple-effect-evaporator and the amount of saturated vapor produced by each effect.

A Study on the Strength and Durability of Polymer-Modified Mortars using Eco-friendly UM resin (친환경 UM수지를 사용한 폴리머 시멘트 모르타르의 강도 및 내구성에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, the characteristics of polymer-modified mortar which include UM resin, eco-friendly resin, was studied for improving the durability of concrete. UM and cement mortar were mixed with a certain percentage. Eco-friendly UM resin polymer-modified mortar was evaluated by compressive strength, splitting tensile strength, flexural strength, water absorption and chemical resistance experiments. The characteristics of eco-friendly UM resin polymer-modified mortar were evaluated by experiments. Performance of compressive strength and splitting tensile strength were decreasing. On the other hand, performance of flexural strength, water absorption and chemical resistance were increasing. Eco-friendly UM resin polymer-modified mortar reinforced concrete durability performance is excellent.

  • 2020년 1,300만대까지 그린카 시장의 확대가 예상되는 가운데 친환경 그린카 기술은 향후 자동차 기술경쟁의 주축이 될 것으로 보인다. 그린카 중 먼저 양산 체계로 진입한 하이브리드자동차는 2010년 전세계 87만대의 판매를 보이며 본격적인 시장 경쟁의 시대로 진입하였다. 우리나라도 자동차 산업의 기술경쟁력 강화를 위해서는 지속적이고, 장기적인 전략수립과 정부의 강력한 지원하에 기술개발이 추진되어야 한다.

  • The aim of this study is to propose economical driving speed index which those are geometric road status; assess the levels of which those cost-benefit of driving energy consumption and emission; are search road safety design and operational technology for driving simulator. For the objective, we analyzed the current status of driving energy consumption and driving scenarios by the road alignments, and reviewed driving and technical specifications by the geometric types of road according to the implementation, and extended completion. Throughout the result of this study, diverse related driving information provision service, efficiently navigation driving module is expected to be implemented in the national highway design system.

  • 2006년 5월 9일(화), 10일(수) 양일간 국회 의원회관 1층 중앙홀에서 환경을 고려한 첨단기술로 탄생한 친환경상품 전시회가 미래학자인 공성진(한나라당, 강남(을))의원이 주최로 마련된다. 이재오 한나라당 원내대표, 이경재 국회 환경노동위원장, 김용갑 국회 산업자원위원장, 이치범 환경부 장관, 이상영 친환경상품진흥원장 등의 내빈들이 참석하는 이번 전시회는 재사용되는 부스를 비롯, 비목재펄프 사용, 콩기름 인쇄 등 전시회 자체도 친환경적으로 설계되어 더욱 눈길을 끈다. 또한 국민대학교 디자인 대학원의 윤호섭 교수와 그린디자인 전공 학생들의 작품 전시까지 곁들여져 우리의 환경에 대해 다시금 생각해 보는 계기를 제공한다.

  • Investment on technology to obtain green energy is prevailing all over the world. The technology development project is more likely to involve multiple sub-projects, each of which is related to develop elementary technology when the project is larger and nation-wide. However, the methodologies identifying optimal combination of elementary technologies among the candidates have been very few. Hence, the purpose of this paper is to propose a novel methodology which provides an optimal combination of green energy technologies. To do so, to-be developed technologies are clustered with multiple categories. Among the technologies, based on Delphi method, the experts select a representative technology, which is indispensible to the green energy system and has the highest connectivity with other elementary technologies. Then the methodology selects an elementary technology from each technology category based on two metrics: Relatedness with representative technology and project risk. To show the feasibility of the proposed methodology, we applied the methodology to an actual windmill development project.

Evaluation of Winter Green Manure Crops as Alternative of Expeller Cake Fertilizer on Environment-friendly Red Pepper Production (친환경 고추 재배에서 유박 비료 대체재로서 동계 풋거름 작물의 이용 가능성 평가)

  • This study was conducted to find out that winter green manure crops could be efficient replacements of expeller cake fertilizers, which were mostly imported, on environment-friendly red pepper production. Four treatments were compared under the condition of plastic film house: 1) barley (B); 2) hairy vetch (HV); 3) mixtures of barley and hairy vetch (B/HV); 4) expeller cake (EC). Total nitrogen content in hariy vetch was 3.6%, which was higher than 1.5~1.8% in barley and mixtures of barley and hairy vetch. P2O5 and K2O contents were similar in all green manures. Supplying amount of nitrogen from B, HV and B/HV plot, which were 172 kg ha-1, 193 kg ha-1, and 198 kg ha-1, were higher than amount of basal nitrogen required by soil testing but were lower than that of total nitrogen, respectively. Among the green manure crops, C/N ratio of HV was the lowest at 11.8, showing a similar value to that of expeller cake, but that of B was the highest at 30.6. Total yield was no significant difference in all treatment plots although B/HV plot showed the highest yield, but initial yield in B plot with high C/N ratio was lower than that in EC plot.

A Difference Analysis Among Nationality, Gender and Age Regarding Environmentally Conscious Behavior (친환경 행동에 대한 국가, 성별, 연령 차이분석)

  • The study seeks to determine how much environmentally conscious behaviors vary depending on the nationality, gender and age. For its purpose, this study suggests hypotheses that Korean and American consumers, who are culturally different from each other, show differences from each other in environmentally conscious behaviors. An interaction effect is also expected between gender and age. With regard to environmentally conscious behavior. Meanwhile, the study tried to examine whether personal values have any mediating effect on the behaviors. The findings of this study can be summarized as follows. Environmentally conscious behaviors by American consumers were more significant than those by Korean consumers. And men were more positive in making environmentally conscious behaviors than women were. In addition, there were interaction effects between nationality and gender, and nationality and age. Furthermore, personal values, depending on age, were found to have moderating effects on environmentally conscious behaviors.
