In order to manufacture functional and esthetic prostheses, it is essential to accurately transmit information about the patient's occlusal plane. In particular, in the case of a completely edentulous patient, the occlusal plane is very important to correctly support the soft tissue, to achieve aesthetic harmony with the facial appearance, and to properly pronounce it, and to form a balanced occlusal relationship for stable mastication. In the conventional method, various facebow systems were used to transmit patient's information from the clinic to the laboratory, but there were several limitations in the process of transferring them to CAD. To simplify this process, a prefabricated POP (PNUD Occlusal Plane) Bow system was recently developed. In this case, a CAD-CAM (Computer-aided design-computer-aided manufacturing) treatment dentures reflecting the patient's occlusal plane information was manufactured using the POP Bow system during the treatment of a completely edentulous patient, and aesthetic and functional satisfaction was obtained.

Jaw motion tracking, which is introduced in recent case reports, is a method which records the patient's individualized pathway of the mandibular movements along with facebow transfer, and reproduces the information in the virtual space of computer-aided-design/computer-aided-manufacturing (CAD-CAM) software. In this present case, a collapse of the occlusal plane was observed, due the loss of posterior teeth for a long period. Full-mouth rehabilitation with an increase in the occlusal vertical dimension was planned. First, the patient's mandibular movements were recorded on the newly established jaw relation by jaw tracking, and this information was assembled with the patient's intraoral data to create a virtual patient. Implant planning and diagnostic wax-up was done on the virtual patient, leading the fabrication of the provisional prosthesis. On the newly established jaw relation with an increase in the occlusal vertical dimension, canine guidance of the provisional prosthesis was checked. Finally, the provisional prosthesis was carried out to the definitive prosthesis. Using the advantages of the technologies in the digital dentistry, the patient was satisfied with the function and the esthetics after the treatment.

치과의 모든 정보뿐만 아니라, 공급 사슬관리, 고객의 정보까지 포함하여 통합적으로 관리해야 하므로 특정한 기능을 수행하는 기술개발의 범위보다는 환자의 구강 정보의 원활한 처리를 위한 서버 구축 및 영상의 질 및 촬영의 용이함을 위한 실시간 스트리밍 기술이 필요하다. 영상정보 판독을 통해 치주염의 위험을 보고 환자들의 치과 방문을 유도하는 것이 치료 적기를 놓치지 않기 위해 반드시 필요하다. 이 논문에서는 구강 질환 예방 및 관리를 위한 스트리밍 기반 모바일 촬영 시스템을 제안한다. 특히 환자 자신이 구강 내의 이미지를 클라이언트 앱을 통해 환부를 직접 확인해 가며 조절하여 촬영가능하도록 스트리밍 기법을 제시하며, 이 과정에서 프레임의 버퍼링 및 딜레이 현상을 사용자의 개입없이 자동 조절하는 기능을 제안한다.

The purpose of this study was to investigate information source of the choice of select dental medical institution and the relationship between socioeconomic characteristics and information searching pattern. This study was conducted for residents adults and teens living in Gwangju and rural communities of Jellanam-do province including. The study shows that 61.0 % of the information of selecting dental medical institutes had been introduced by the acquaintance and the rest of the information(37.0%) had been gotten from the internet. The purpose of this study is to develop an information search method that can influence the choice of medical consumers in dental clinics, and to establish a new dental clinic management strategy based on this research. Plus, we want to develop an information search source that can have a convergence effect on the selection of medical consumers in dental medical institutions.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the changes in patient distribution and practice pattern resulted from changes of socioeconomic circumstances. From January 2008 to December 2017, information about patient distribution and practice pattern was collected and reviewed. Both the number of new patients and revisiting patients increased. The average age of new patients showed a declining trend. Children aged between 0 and 6 had the majority. In case of restorative treatment, the use of composite resin decreased, whereas resin modified glass ionomer increased. As to pulp treatment of primary tooth, the proportion of pulpectomy increased significantly, but decreased in pulpotomy. The results showed an increase in the treatments under sedation and general anesthesia and with the use of midazolam and nitric oxide increased after 2014.

본 연구에서는 치과에서 마취 시 환자들의 고통을 최소화 하기위하여 무통마취를 위한 치과용 약물주입기를 구현하였다. 약물의 주입 시 통증을 최소화하기 위해서 온도를 $36{\pm}2^{\circ}C$ 범위로 제어하여 체온과 유사한 온도로 유지하였다. 이를 위하여 필름히터 방식을 이용한 치과범용국소약물(36mg, 2% 리도카인) 앰플 가열부를 설계하였다. 또한 약물이 주입되는 양을 능동적으로 제어하기 위하여 약물주입 환부의 환자별 흡수 속도 차이에 차등 주입을 위한 압력 측정 시스템을 구현하였다. 필름 형태의 압력 센서를 통하여 전달 압력을 측정하였으며 측정된 압력을 바탕으로 능동적으로 모터의 동작을 제어함으로써 약물주입시 환자의 고통을 최소화 할 수 있도록 구현하고자 하였다.

This study aimed to analyze the association among dental care consumers' responses to waiting time, hospital image, and patient satisfaction and provide basic data that could help qualitative waiting conditions management related to health care service. A survey was conducted from May 18 to June 20, 2016 in adults who had spent waiting time at dental hospitals or clinics, and the following conclusion was drawn: Hospital image was associated with the changes in reliance on dental care centers in case of long wait, the changes in reuse intentions, and the reservation system, and patient satisfaction was associated with gender, explanation of expected waiting time, the changes in reliance on dental care centers in case of long wait, the changes in reuse intentions, and the reservation system. The positive responses to waiting time was positively correlated with hospital image and patient satisfaction; the negative reaction to waiting time was negatively correlated with hospital image and patient satisfaction; and hospital image was positively correlated with patient satisfaction.

건강과 의료에 관심이 높아지면서 의료수요는 날로 증가하게 되었고 이에 따르는 의료분쟁 또한 증가하는 추세이다. 본의 아니게 발생한 의료사고는 의료분쟁으로 발전하게 되는데 과실과 악결과 그리고 이에 따르는 인과관계와 책임여부를 따지게 된다. 이를 규명하기 위해서는 의료인은 주의의무와 설명의무를 잘 수행했는지와 환자 또한 의무를 잘 수행했는지를 평가하게 된다. 일단 의료분쟁이 생기지 않도록 최선의 진료와 환자와의 대화가 요구되며 분쟁시 화해, 조정, 소송 등으로 해결하며 이 과정 각각에서의 준비와 대책을 세워야 할 것이다. 현재의 상황에서 언제 어디서 일어날지 모르는 의료분쟁을 방지하려면 진료기술의 숙련도를 높이고 발전하는 새로운 의학 정보를 얻는데 게으르지 말아야하며 특히 환자를 대하는데 진단, 치료과정, 치료의 후유증, 위험성에 관한 자세한 설명을 통하여 환자 스스로 결정할 수 있는 의료환경이 요구되며 가장 기본적인 의료기록부 작성에 관심을 가져야 할것이다.

The purpose of this study was to identify knowledge awareness, and performance of dentist and dental staff regarding protection of patient's personal information. In addition, this research was conducted to highlight the importance of protection of patient's personal information and provide a guideline for establishing measures in this regard. A survey was conducted on 506 dentists or dental staff working in Seoul, Gyeonggi and Chungcheong provinces. The data was analyzed using t-test, one-way ANOVA, $x^2$, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and Scheffe test, using the PASW Statistics ver. 18.0 program. We found that the participants' knowledge and perception of the protection of patient's personal information were relatively low compared to those of other professionals. Such knowledge and perception were especially and significantly low in dental hygienists. In addition, a high level of knowledge and awareness showed a positive correlation with the extent of performance. Therefore, it is important that dentists and dental staff are aware of issues regarding the protection of patients' personal information. For this purpose, educational and training programs on such issues appear essential.

The diagnosis and treatment plan for forming ideal occlusal plane in full mouth rehabilitation are difficult because each process is complicated and information exchange between dentist and technician is subjective. The OP finder^® system simplifies this process and helps to deliver more objective and accurate information. In this case, full mouth rehabilitation was performed using OP finder^® system for patients with old bad fixed prosthesis and severely worn mandibular teeth, and reported that the result of proper occlusal plane setting and masticatory function recovery was obtained.
