  • The purpose of this paper is to develop a profile modification technique of spur gears and its computer program for the prevention of gear tooth overlap. In the gear system, tooth overlap produces an impact at the initial contact of some tooth pairs. In this analysis, contact surface was assumed to be unbonded and frictionless under small deformation and stain. The problem is formulated by a variational statement with inequality constraint. Tooth load sharing is obtained by the application of contact theory, and overlap is known by the analysis of deformation. After carrying out the profile modification of gear tooth, we verified the reasonable results.

  • In this paper, after we make high speed gear requested high precision, we got data on the sound level is Max 60,000rpm for tooth modification. We make a decision about tooth modification after predicting exactly amount of tooth interference by FEM. The purpose of this research is that modified gear is to drive under stable sound level. To accomplish its, Beam elements are used to simulate the same condition as a real gear drive by FEM. From result of simulation and experiment, if it has holes to decrease whole weight of high speed gear, it is not good effect because it has much more deformation than not.

  • The stable driving condition of high speed gear is approached by shape modifications of a gear tooth. Recently, many gear designers are using FEM for the design and the manufacture of a high precision gear. In this paper, it is aimed to drive in stable sound level through the modification of the tooth and the shape of a gear. The simulation is used to understand the effect of holes for the decrement of weight and the stress variation for the tooth modification. Beam elements used to simulate the same condition as a real gear drive by FEM. The driven gear is simulated to 60,000rpm for the tooth modification.

  • The worm gear is used in the motor drive system of automotive CVVL because of its compactness and self-locking ability. A ZK worm and an involute helical gear can be meshed in order to reduce production cost. However, the gearing is not suitable for the reliability and the NVH problem. To improve the dynamic performances, an optimal design process is considered. The transmission error is calculated theoretically and minimized with the several gear design parameters. An inequality condition such as the teeth interference elimination is added.

  • A counter gear transmits the rotation angle, so the angular velocity ratio of the gear does not necessarily need to be constant in the meshing process. As a pinion has a small number of teeth when combined with an internal gear for counters, tooth interference can occur with the use of an involute curve. This paper introduces circular arcs that represent a tooth profile and fillet for the profile design of a pinion through the combination of arcs with lines. The straight line of a rack tooth represents the profile of a mating internal gear. Thus, the circular arc and line maintain contact during the rotation of the counter gear. This paper presents an analysis of the meshing of the circular arc tooth and rack tooth along with the properties of the counter gear, such as the change in rotational velocity and amount of backlash. The contact ratio of the counter gear is 1 because the tooth contact occurs between circular arcs and line. The initial position of tooth contact, which denotes the simultaneous contact of two teeth, is found. As the rotation of the pinion, only one tooth keeps the contact situation. This meshing property is analyzed by the geometrical constraints of the tooth profile in contact and the results are presented as graphical diagrams in which tooth-arc movements are superimposed.

  • For the successful prosthetics treatment, the collaboration starting from the initial stage between dental clinic and laboratory is important. However, the collaboration can't persist all the processes, giving the ideal shape to prosthetics is one of the responsible part of dental laboratory. I'm going to explain how to access dental technician to case in restricted circumstance.

  • Experiments for autotrophic denitrification were performed using an upf10w reac1.or packed with sulfur particles as an electron donor. The influent $NO_3{^-}$-N concentration was kept almost constant, but the hydraulic retention time(HRT) and temperature varied. Results of the research showed that the denitrification efficiency and gas generation rate decreased as the HRT and temperature were reduced. During the HRT effect experiment, alkalinities of 3.44~5.71g, with an average of 4.67 g which is close to the theoretical value of 4.57g were consumed for each gram of $NO_3{^-}$-N removed. During the temperature effect experiment, however, the values were 6.58~13.41 g with an average of 9.12 g which is almost twice the theoretical value Denitrification along the length of the reactor appeared to be a first-order reaction with a reaction rate constant of 0.1648/hr. On the other hand, the sulfate generation showed a zero-order reaction with a reaction rate constant of 241/hr. There was some discrepancy in the nitrogen mass balance between the theoretical and measured values, requiring further researches.

  • Kernel softness. density. size and 100 kernel weight of Korean local corn lines (Zea mays, 1.) were studied to find any relationship with cultural magnitude in regions. Kernel density. softness and size were greater in the Kangwon area than in other less growing areas. Kernel size was the only character showing great relationship with growing magnitude. Most of the collected lines were flinty type and no differences were found among various growing magnitudes. Kernel density was also the same through the growing magnitudes.
