A Study on the Technological Improvement of Strut as a Permanent Structure (구조물 겸용 흙막이 스트러트 공법의 개선 연구)

  • The SPS, Strut as a Permanent System, method is widely adopted for the main structural member in addition to temporary strut function for the shuttering of excavation work. Although the SPS method has contributed to cost saving, time reduction, enhancement of structural stability, improvement of construction environment and so on at the building construction site, it caused the problems of increase of basement height and additional work for fire protection of steel structure. The increase of basement height caused the increase of shuttering depth and excavation, and the fire protection caused the additional cost as well as the deterioration of construction environment. In order to improve the problems, this paper is to propose a modularized hybrid structural system(HSD). The detail of the system is introduced and the structural performance and constructibility are proved through the experiment and site application.

  • Slim Floor construction method has to increase the available surface area thereby reducing the depth beams and slab. In addition, In this study compostie beam assembly of plates, square-shape steel pipe and deck plate. So workabiltiy is superior to the upper concrete possible without formwork. In the present study is strength test in progress in development slim floor composite beam used plate and perforated square shape steel pipe and obtained anlysis and conclustion of the experimental results.

  • 포스트텐션(Post-Tension, PT) 공법은 일반적으로 텐던(tendon)으로 알려진 고강도 강선 또는 봉을 이용하여 콘크리트 또는 다른 재료를 보강하는 방법으로 많은 경우 건설현장의 제약과 건축적인 요구에 의해 다른 공법으로 해결이 불가능한 경우에 대해 대안으로 사용되어 온 공법이다. 또한 포스트텐션 시스템은 조립과 설치에 특수한 지식과 경험이 필요하였다. 그러나 최근 건설시장은 신소재와 신공법의 발달과 함께 친환경 및 경제성에 대한 요구가 증가함에 따라 장스팬 및 층고절감이 가능한 포스트텐션 공법을 일반 건축물에 적용하는 사례가 점차 늘어나는 추세에 있다. 따라서 본 지에서는 3회에 걸쳐 포스트텐션 공법과 설계 및 시공사례 등을 소개하고자 한다. 1. 포스트텐션 공법 소개 2. 포스트텐션 공법의 경제성 비교 3. 포스트텐션공법의 설계사례와 설계시 고려사항

Development for Connection Details between Flat Plate Slab and H-Steel Column (무량판 슬래브와 H형강 기둥 접합부 상세 개발)

  • The flat plate slab system have many good features, which are design flexibilities, saving of story-height and economy of construction etc. But the study of flat plate slab system for H-steel column have been rare both at home and abroad. Recently high-rise residential and commercial buildings have been constructed in urban areas in Korea. The suggested dowel connection system is more likely to adoptable because it remarkably contribute to save inter story height and also to have many advantages compared with conventional steel works such as H-Steel frame + Deck plate slab system. This study aims at developing design method and program for connection between H-Steel column and flat plate slab system, which contribute to save significantly inter-story height.

  • Through the story height reducing method, cost saving can be implemented in many aspects. Recently, as one of PC floor system, HCS(Hollow Core Slab) has been applied in many project, and it is proved that it is excellent in productivity, economic efficiency, and workability as well. We developed a new composite beam(ANI Girder) which can be associated with HCS and reinforced with a truss-shape rebar and angle. As a result of actual application on underground parking building with HCS, it is confirmed that this system is effective in workability and story height reducing.

Flexural Behavior of Hybrid Beam of Reduced Story Height (층고 절감을 위한 하이브리드 보의 휨 거동에 관한 실험적 연구)

  • In underground parking lots of apartment housing, the story height is increased by $300{\sim}400mm$ because of various ducts for HVAC. In order to reduce this story height, this study proposed the 'hybrid beam', which is composed of PC beam with embedded steel beam and insitu concrete. The depth of the hybrid beam is reduced by 300 mm and then the steel beam is embedded over the length of reduced depth to compensate for the loss of strength. Then, we performed the large-scale structural tests on 9 specimens and investigated the flexural behavior of the specimens. The parameters of tests were the shape of steel beam section, the length of the reduced depth, the stage of construction, the effects of slab and shear connectors. The test results showed that the specimens, after the insitu concrete has cured, has the flexural capacity which exceeds the required design capacity regardless of other parameters. On the other hand, the specimens of construction stage do not have sufficient strength. Based on these results, it is thought that the proposed hybrid beam with reduced depth is applicable to the underground parking lots of apartment housing as long as the support is placed at construction stage.

Study on Flexural Strength of Wide Composite Beam for Long Span and Saving Story height (장스팬 및 층고저감형 와이드 복합보의 휨성능에 관한 연구)

  • Recently, the parking in downtown area has caused severe problem due to the dramatic increase of possessing automobile in the country. A parking structure has been on the spotlight to solve the parking problem in downtown area. However, the overall height of parking structure is stipulated less than 8 m. Therefore, in this research, 'wide composite beam', which is possible for reducing story height and having long span, is developed and the flexural capacity of the wide composite beam is evaluated. Based on the result of the flexural test, the flexural strength of wide composite beam increased by 20% as the thickness of steel beam increased by 3 mm ($6mm{\rightarrow}9mm$) The shapes of rebar (whether it is triangle or rectangular shape) in the wide composite beam did not affect its flexural strength. The flexural strength of wide composite beam without rebar decreased by 10% compared to that of wide composite beam with rebar. In addition, the neutral axis moved upward as a load increased, but the neutral axis moved downward, when the load exceeded a certain level of load.

  • Main topics in this study is a new structural detail for connection between H-Steel or SRC column and flat plate slab. We carried out to evaluate the punching shear performance of H-steel or SRC column + RC slab system for vertical load and lateral load. From the test results structural characteristics - yield moment, yield rotation, maximum moment, deformation capabilities ect. - are obtained and evaluated. In this paper as a shear reinforcement for supporting region of plate closed stirrup type and shear band are used, and their test results are compared.

A Study on Section Properties of Partially Concrete-Filled New Type Composite Beam (부분매입형 신형상 합성보의 단면성능에 관한 연구)

  • The demand for the structural system of reduction of story height increases because buildings are getting higher. The existing structural systems are not efficiency. Thus, it is hard to reduce the story height and existing methods cannot secure economics as expected. This study aims at developing the partially concrete-filled new type composite beam, which can efficiently resist against the end negative moment and central positive moment, also reduce deflection of beams. Through case studies on loading of concentrated load and uniformly distributed load to fixed beam, we could find the most efficient ratio of moment of inertia and the ratio ${\alpha}$(end beam length to span). The gap space between middle and end beam can be used as facilities installation, consequently the suggested Omega beam system is expected to get the effect of reduction in story height as well as reduction of quantity.

  • The composite beam adopted in the study was designed to reduce the floor height as well as to embed the top flange of steel frame into the slab that will enable to avoid applying the fire-resistant coating and to unify the joint method with a steel frame-type. As the steel frame and bottom concrete of the beam is pre-fabricated at the factory it could reduce the overall schedule at the jobsite. Applying such composite beam system to the work is expected to provide the efficient and enhanced performance, given the current tendency of the building construction that tends to be getting higher, larger and dense. The study focused on combining the composite beam with various column systems in a bid to propose the details thereof. A desirable composite girder can be adopted depending on site conditions through the evaluation of various beam and jointing approaches. Among the column systems applied to the study are steel column, SRC column, RC-PC column and RC column. The ways of combining with the columns addressed in the study were categorized into the rigid joint, pin joint, steel frame joint and bracket type joint. Besides, the instruction for site fabrication of beam-column was added in an effort to help set up the site fabrication procedures.
