Calculation of Local Coordinate of Common Points for Coordinate Transformation by Trilateral Adjustment (좌표변환 공통점의 지역측지계 조정좌표 산출 - 삼변망조정계산의 활용 -)

  • Trilateral adjustment can complement the problem of transforming cadastral maps into World Geodetic Coordinate system. First, it is possible to determine adjusted coordinate of common points that match each other over a wide area. Second, calculations that focus on specific points can be performed. Third, a solution that maintains the shape of the regional network can be obtained through constraints. Thus, the point coordinates can be determined appropriately for the survey system. In addition, heterogeneous survey results that span regions with different coordinate origins can be calculated on a single origin coordinate. This improves the efficiency of the workflow in tranforming cadastral maps into World Geodetic Coordinate System.

Assessment of Substantial Equivalence and Environmental Risk for Event Selection of Genetically Modified Chrysanthemum (국화의 GM 이벤트 선발을 위한 실질적 동등성 및 환경위해성 평가)

  • As an assessment of substantial equivalence and environmental risks of branchless chrysanthemum GM lines (LeLS69, LeLS76, LeLS80) developed in Korea, we investigated their degree of branchlessness and developmental characteristics including growth and flowering, as well as the stability of populations of insect pests and soil microbes. The GM lines were compared with a control variety, 'Jinba'. LeLS80 showed the highest level of branchlessness among the three GM lines, whereas abnormal axillary buds developed in lines LeLS76 and LeLS69. There were no significant differences between the growth characteristics of 'Jinba' and the GM lines. The branchlessness LeLS80 was increased during the summer season, suggesting that it is a useful germplasm for developing elite branchless cultivars. These GM lines showed no significant differences in the occurrence of five insect pests including aphids, mites, leaf miners, thrips, and whiteflies. Similarly, for soil microbes including bacteria and actinomycetes, there were no significant differences between 'Jinba' and the GM lines. However, there was a higher occurrence of fungi in the GM lines compared to 'Jinba'. Our findings suggest that 'Jinba' and the GM lines are substantially equivalent, although further monitoring studies are needed to confirm this.

  • It is well known that a triangulateration net is superior to a trilateration net or triangulation net in a same configuration. In general, to explain this nature is not easy because the large residuals and reference variance are revealed in the adjustment of a heterogeneous network. In this paper the precision and the reliability of network are discussed, and the considerations of simultaneous adjustment are covered A practical example shows that the concept and criteria of reliability give better estimate than the precision in heterogeneous network.

  • GPS allows a user with an appropriate receiver to obtain their position anywhere on the Earth's surface. The use of GPs has highlighted the shortcomings of national reference systems, and many countries are in the process of establishing new geodetic frameworks in order to overcome these shortcomings. Korea National Geography Institute has established a new geocentric datum and presented the its time frame for implementation. In this paper, I studied the considerable matters of digital mapping authority and users for converting the geodetic datum and coordinate system and suggested the steps of public relations for GIS users.

  • Considering spherically symmetric spacetimes embedded in a 5-dimensional static Lorentzian manifold, within the large distance limit of DGP model, we study null geodesic equations. We discuss possible relations of particles following the geodesics with the gravitational waves detected recently, in comparison with the electromagnetic waves propagaing in these brane spacetimes.

Effects of Times of Chip Budding and Rootstock Removal, Leaf Removal Plus Promalin Application on the Tree Growth and Lateral Development for 'Fuji'/M.9-T337 Nursery Trees ('Fuji'/M.9-T337 묘목의 삭아접 시기, 대목절단 시기, 적엽 및 Promalin 처리가 나무의 생장과 측지발생에 미치는 효과)

  • The objective of this study was to determine the influence of grafting timing, rootstock cut timing and leaf removal with promalin ($GA_{4+7}+BA$) treatments on the maiden tree growth, lateral development and flower bud initiation. In mid-March 1997, two-year-old M.9-T337 rootstocks selected with trunk diameter over 1 cm were planted in the field. Chip budding with 'Fuji' scion on M.9-T337 rootstock budded in mid-April was earlier in sprouting than chip budding in mid-June. Late cutting chip budding (LCCB) with 'Fuji' scion on M.9-T337 rootstock was lower in the failed budding percentage with 14% than that of early cutting chip budding (ECCB). Especially, ECCB in April was not suitable for scion growth such as uniformity with high percentage of failed tree. Grafting timing in mid-June and rootstock cutting timing of LCCB induced more branches and flower buds than other treatments. Removal of 8 to 10 uppermost immature leaves on central leader stem and application of Promalin 250 mg/L after every 30 cm of terminal growth produced a 189 cm tall tree with 9 flower buds and 14.2 short lateral shoot from 30 to 35 cm long in length in 1998. Promalin increased branching on second-season growth and, when combined with leaf removal, resulted in uniform distribution of branches along the central leader stem.

A Study on the World Geodetic System Transformation Using Triangle Mesh Warping (삼각형 와핑에 의한 세계측지계 좌표변환 방법 연구)

  • The Triangle Mesh Warping method is suggested and applied in coordinate transformation to world geodetic system in this study. The common points of Uiwang city are used to compare the transformation accuracy of the suggested methods with existing national coordinate transformation methods. As a result, the Triangle Mesh Warping method was satisfied with accuracy criteria for positioning on a map larger than scale 1/1,000 with smaller number of common points and without distortion modeling. Additionally, in case of Guri and Pyeongtaek city that established the World Geodetic System, the suggested method generates the result of transformation accuracy better than 5cm. Based on the test, it was found that the suggested method improves the problem of securing many common points and reduces the problem of mis-match between the transformed data of adjacent areas. Accordingly, for transformation of large-scale topographic map, cadastral map, GIS DB and serial cadastral map to the World Geodetic System, it is judged that the Triangle Mesh Warping would be a good method for economical efficiency and accuracy using by minimum common point.

The Korean Geodetic Network Adjustments for EDM Area (국가기준점 망조정에 관한 연구 - EDM 관측지역)

  • According to the Korean datum change to a world geodetic system, the EDM area should be readjusted to provide consistent product over the country. The data set for EDM area is extracted from the previous KTN1987 DB and checked for the moved markers in XY network adjustment which provides quality verification. Then, EDM data set for the seven areas are rebuilt for the adjustment. Since the data is still based on the old datum, the coordinates of the data are transformed by applying the coordinate transformation parameters. Here, the transformation parameters, which were determined for the conversion of 1:50,000 topographic maps by NGII, were used. For each EDM point, the geoidal height from EGM96 model is applied to obtain the ellipsoidal height based on the GRS80. The measured distance projected onto GRS80 is adjusted using BL network adjustment by fixing 2nd order or 3rd order GPS control points. The results from the readjustment show the minimum standard error of 1.37" and the maximum standard error of 2.13". Considering the measurement accuracy of EDM (1.6" corresponding to about 2cm) and GPS position for fixed points (2cm), this result is considered to be reasonable and it is good for the practical use.

ADVANTAGE OF USING FREE NETWORK ADJUSTMENT TECHNIQUE IN THE CRUSTAL MOVEMENT MONITORING GEODETIC NETWORKS

  • There are numerous adjustment techniques that deal with the adjustment of geodetic networks but the least squares adjustment is the most common one. During the network adjustment procedure two techniques can be used, the free network adjustment technique and the constrained network adjustment technique. In order to determine the optimum technique for adjusting the geodetic networks, which used for the geodynamical purposes, data from two different geodetic networks "Sinai geodetic network, Egypt, and HGN network, South Korea" had been examined. The used networks had a different configuration and located in different areas with different seismic activity. The results show that both techniques have a high accuracy and no remarkable differences in terms of RMS. On the contrary, the resulted coordinates shows that the constrained network adjustment technique not only cause a remarkable distortion in the station final coordinates but also if the fixed points that define the datum parameters are changed different solutions for the coordinates will be determined. This distortion affect not only in the determination of point displacement but also in the estimation of the deformation parameters, which play a significant role in the geodynamical interpretation of results. Comparing the results which obtained from both techniques with the widely known geodynamical models of the area reviles that the free network adjustment technique results are clearly match with these models, while those obtained from the constrained technique didn’t match at all. By considering the results it seams to be that the free network adjustment technique is the optimum technique, which can be used for the geodetic network adjustment.

Several Treatments of Elsholtzia angustifolia (Loes.) Kitag. for Pot Cultivation (가는잎향유의 분화 재배를 위한 몇 가지 처리)

  • 가는잎향유[Elsholtzia angustifolia (Loes.) Kitag.]는 꽃이 원줄기와 가지 끝에 조밀하고 아름답게 달리며, 전초에 함유된 정유성분의 향이 우수하여 관상 및 약용으로 이용되고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 관상소재로 이용가능한 가는잎향유의 분화 재배기술을 확립하기 위해 2018년 7월 2일에 유묘(4월 3일~5월 31일 육묘)를 포트에 정식하여 10월 15일까지 수행하였다. 대조구는 플라스틱 화분 10호에 원예상토를 충진한 다음 200구 트레이에 셀당 4립 파종하여 생산된 유묘를 정식하여 이용하였다. 기비처리는 싱싱코트를 0, 10 및 20알로 처리하였고, 추비처리는 정식 후 4주 간격으로 hyponex (4-6-6)를 0, 1000 및 $2000mg{\cdot}L-1$로 3회 엽면시비 하였다. 차광정도 실험은 0, 55 및 75%로 광량을 달리하여 수행하였다. 왜화제는 diniconazole과 daminozide를 각 0, 1000 및 $2000mg{\cdot}L-1$로 정식 후 4주차에 처리하였다. 연구의 결과, 기비와 추비 처리는 무처리와 비교하여 생육에 큰 차이가 없었으나, 절간장은 처리량이 증가할수록 억제되었으며, 처리시 무처리에 비해 유의적으로 감소하였다. 측지수 및 엽수는 기비 처리에 따른 큰 차이가 없었으며, 추비는 측지수와 엽수가 많아지는 경향이었다. 한편, 기비와 추비 처리는 개화율을 비교적 감소시키는 결과를 보였다. 차광정도가 증가할수록 초장, 절간장, 경직경, 화서수, 화서장이 감소하는 경향이 나타났으며, 무차광과 차광처리 간 측지수와 엽수는 유의적인 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 왜화제 처리는 무처리와 비교하여 절간장을 감소시켰다. Daminozide 처리시 측지수와 엽수는 무처리에 비해 증가하였으나 유의적인 차이는 없었고, 지상부의 생체중은 엽수와 측지수에 비례하여 무거워지는 결과를 보였다. 또한, $2000mg{\cdot}L-1$ 농도 처리시 개화율이 100%에 도달하였다. Diniconazole 처리는 무처리와 비교하여 큰 차이가 없었다. 따라서, 가는잎향유를 분화재배를 하기 위해서는 기비와 추비는 처리하지 않고, 무차광 조건에서 재배하는 것이 좋다. 또한, 왜화제는 daminozide $2000mg{\cdot}L-1$로 처리하는 것이 측지수, 엽수 및 개화율이 우수한 결과를 보여 분화 재배에 적합할 것으로 판단된다.
