Estimating the Thickness Errors in Vertical-Cavity Surface-Emitting Laser Structures from Optical Reflection spectra (반사 스펙트럼을 이용한 VCSEL 에피층의 두께 오차 평가)

  • By comparing the measured optical reflection spectra with calculated one by the transfer-matrix method (TMM) in epitaxial wafers for vertical-cavity surface-emitting lasers (VCSELs), we have estimated the systematic thickness errors in a simple and nondestructive way. The experimentally confirmed technique is based on the finding that the shape of the reflection spectra depends mainly on a newly defined single parameter, the effective error in the n-mirror layers, and the thickness error in the active cavity simply shifts the Fabry-Perot resonance wavelength. Also shown is that the proposed method is reliable when the relative standard deviation of the random thickness errors is less than 0.005. Because reflection spectra are routinely measured, we can easily estimate the thickness errors nondestructively with high spatial resolution.

  • The BSC methodology has recently increased its capability to apply the all of industries. However, this methodology would be inappropriate for the business innovation of public organizations. The major reason is that the profit is not the main issue for the public sector, where the financial perspectives are not clearly stated or formulated. This difference compared to profit organizations influences other perspectives such as study and growth, process. Therefore, a new approach is needed to solve these problems. The purpose of this study is to investigate a pertinent scheme for the public innovation, the method to integrate the process, and its expected effectiveness. Enhancing LoRA Fine-tuning Performance Using Curriculum Learning

  • Recently, there has been a lot of research on utilizing Language Models, and Large Language Models have achieved innovative results in various tasks. However, the practical application faces limitations due to the constrained resources and costs required to utilize Large Language Models. Consequently, there has been recent attention towards methods to effectively utilize models within given resources. Curriculum Learning, a methodology that categorizes training data according to difficulty and learns sequentially, has been attracting attention, but it has the limitation that the method of measuring difficulty is complex or not universal. Therefore, in this study, we propose a methodology based on data heterogeneity-based Curriculum Learning that measures the difficulty of data using reliable prior information and facilitates easy utilization across various tasks. To evaluate the performance of the proposed methodology, experiments were conducted using 5,000 specialized documents in the field of information communication technology and 4,917 documents in the field of healthcare. The results confirm that the proposed methodology outperforms traditional fine-tuning in terms of classification accuracy in both LoRA fine-tuning and full fine-tuning.

  • Standish Group 조사에 의하면 1994년부터 2004년까지 10년간 소프트웨어 프로젝트의 원가 초과율이 180%에서 56%로 낮아졌고 납기 초과율은 164%에서 84%로 낮아져 프로젝트의 품질 수준이 높아진 것으로 조사되었다. 이러한 결과의 교훈은 SW 프로젝트를 보다 작은 시간 프레임으로 나눠 짧은 시간 프레임 내에서 설계, 프로토타이핑, 개발, 테스트를 반복적으로 수행하고 소프트웨어가 자라는 방식의 프로세스 적용이라고 설명했는데 이러한 특징을 갖는 것이 바로 애자일(Agile:기민한) 방법론이다.[1] 그렇다면 애자일 방법 적용이 과연 프로세스 품질 성숙도를 어느 정도 충족시킬 수 있는지에 대한 접근도 이제는 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 웹 서비스 제품 개발 프로세스에 Agile 방법론 중 하나인 Scrum 방법론을 적용한 조직의 사례를 통하여 프로세스 품질 성숙도 요소 충족 여부를 분석함으로써 애자일 방법론을 적용한 조직의 프로세스 품질 성숙도 측정에 도움을 줄 수 있을 것이다.

  • Although many different intrusion detectionsystems have been developed there have not been enough researches on the methodology for evaluating these intrusion delection systems. With this understanding,in this paper we present a methodology for evaluating infrusion detection systems from the view point of performance and robustness, both of which are considered the most important criteria Current research on evaluating the performance f intrusion detection systems mostly foduson the in issuse detection but not on the anormaly detection. Regarding evalieting robustness it is not easy to apply off -line methodologies and methods for testing robustness hae not been proposed in on -line methodolomes, In this paper we provide an systematic way of classifyin and generating anomalies and using this reult, present an methodology for evaluating the pertormance of intrusion detection systems in detecting anomaalies ans well as misuses . Moreover, ww study the factors that can damage the robustness of intrusion detection systems and suggest an methodology for assessing the robustness of intrusion detection systems.

  • 상호의존성을 검증하기 위해 통계적 측정치를 사용한 심층 분석을 통해 섹터 기반 상장지수펀드를 중심으로 금융 네트워크의 불일치를 분석한다. 최소 스패닝 트리, p 값 기반 네트워크와 같은 방법론을 채택하여 가격 기반 불일치를 조사하여 금융 데이터 내의 기본 네트워크 구조를 파악합니다. 우리의 주요 기여는 다양한 측정치와 네트워크 분석을 사용하여 금융 시장에 대한 다양한 통찰력을 제공하는 방법을 보여주는 것이다.

Scientific Study of Subjectivity on Recognition Types and Preferences of Animation Audiences (애니메이션 수용자의 인식유형과 취향에 관한 주관성연구)

  • This is a scientific study of subjectivity on recognition types and preferences of animation audience. Therefore, Q-methodology was used as a methodology of this study. As a result, it was possible to find the various characteristics according to the preferences of audience on animation genres. The features of each type were classified into 3 types. First was an artistic and literary value-oriented type that explored storytelling and descriptive value. Second was a pictorial and aesthetic value-oriented type that explored visual beauty such as characters and Mise en scene. Third was a visual and entertainment value-oriented type that explored entertainment factors and attractions. Thus, according to the classification of preference types, it was inferred that digital image generation audience with an active preference that can create and consume images have developed a tendency that independently consumed their preferences based on thoroughly personal or subjective preferences rather than classified and accepted their preferred culture as their symbolic expressions of hierarchical position. In this aspect, Q-methodological consideration that is useful to analyze the subjectivity of audience could be a significant work. Nevertheless, this study alone could not reveal various generative contexts of specific preferences. It seems to have more significant results by applying various qualitative or quantitative methodologies together with this study and analyzing recognition types and preferences of audience.

  • The purpose of this study was to develop a measurement scheme that assesses organizational performances in library department unit level by applying PCSI model, a Public-service Customer Satisfaction Index. Specifically, this study adopted the Antecedent Model, a component of the PCSI's three-part model, that consists of a total of 12 service quality indices. The study selected a large-scale library as a case to analyze and design a method. We analyzed the library's organizational missions and goals set by each of its six departments, and then mapped them with each of the 12 service quality indices. This mapping was further developed as a work analysis scheme of the library and as a measurement tool. A total of 341 library users participated in a survey that was designed to assess 12 service quality indices. As a result service quality was measured for each index, which in turn, calculated the library's service performance index for both entire and individual units of the library. The results reveled the measurement tool useful in assessing service performances for both individual unit and the entire library.

BSC 기반의 경영성과 관리시스템 구현 : 에너지 기업 적용사례

  • 최근 많은 기업들의 경영층 및 정보화 담당자들이 BSC의 도입 필요성을 인식하기 시작하고 있다. 그러나 아직까지 최고경영층의 관심 및 지원 부족, 경영층 요구정보 분석의 어려움 및 낮은 질의 정보 제공, 적절한 BSC 개발 기술의 선정 실패 등으로 많은 기업에서 BSC 도입에 실패하고 있는 실정이다. 본 논문에서는 과거 전통적 경영성과측정 방법의 한계점과 BSC 모델의 장점 및 단점을 분석하고, 이를 토대로 성공적인 BSC 기반 경영성과관리시스템을 구축할 수 있는 구축방법론을 제시하고자 한다. 본 논문에서 제시하는 BSC 기반 경영성과관리시스템의 구축 방법론은 (1) 전사 비전/전략 수립, (2) 경영방침/사업계획 수립, (3) 핵심성과요인(CSF) 및 주요성과지표(KPI) 도출, (4) 시스템 구현 단계의 4단계로 각성되어 있다. 본 논문에서 제시된 BSC 기반 경영성과관리 시스템의 구축 방법론의 유효성(Usefulness)을 입증하기 위하여 에너지 기업인 'K'사를 대상으로 사례연구를 수행하였다.
