This study was performed to compare the foodservice management practices in the employee feeding operations of Jeonnam and Chungchong area. Questionnaires were developed and mailed to 160 dietitians with management in employee foodservice of Jeonnam and Chungchong area. Completed questionnaires were received from 124 dietitians with a response rate of 77.5%. The results of this study can be summarized as follows:. Age, work experience, concurrent position and work time of dietitians were significantly higher in the Chungchong area than those in the Jeonnam area. Times of meals and amount of meals served per day in the Chungchong area were significantly higher than those in the Jeonnam area. The type of menu by foodservice operation was high non-selective menu in both areas, especially non-selective menu was high in self-operated place whereas selective menu was high in contract management. Period of cycle menu was 10-15 days in Jeonnam area, but that was 7 days in Chungchong area and so cycle menu of both areas was significantly different (p ＜ 0.001). Most considerable factor in menu planning was preference in Jeonnam area and was cost in the Chungchong area. Food purchasing method was used mostly by automatic computerized order in the Jeonnam area whereas telephone or mail order was high in the Chungchong area.

In this study, the researcher examined archaeomagnetic secular variation of Chungcheong Region through measured data of archaeomagnet obtained from 34 relics, which discovered in the baked earth from varied historic sites within the region. Furthermore, the researcher closely reviewed regional differences of geomagnetic field in the domestic territory. Reviewing the comparison between the measured data of archaeomagnet in Chungcheong Region and the archaeomagnetic secular variation of Japan, which has difference in distance, it reveals a noticeable change in declination by tilting more than 10 degree toward East in the year of about A.D. 300, although the feature of whole variation is quite similar. In other period of times, it was confirmed that the regional differences of geomagnetic field in which the magnetic dip became deeper to some degree, and the declination was tilted westward a little bit. Such patterns do not differ significantly from the pattern of entire archaeomagnetic secular variation of our country, and even in the direct comparison to the data of Chungcheong Region, the distinct regional difference in both periods before and after Christian era was not confirmed. The fact may become clearer that, when the volume of the measured data of archaeomagnet increases further, and when more data connected with varied time period are filled, the problem such as deviation of the measurement period of archaeomagnet caused by the regional difference of geomagnetic field would not be worrisome issue, especially in Korean territory, judging from the measured data of archaeomagnet of historic relics in Chungcheong Region. Besides, as great efforts are being exerted in order to get the most reliable measured data as much as possible in taking both samples and measurement, it is thought that there would be no problem not only in the issue of deviation of the measurement period involving with the measured data of archeomagnet, but also in the aspect of reliability of data.

The Material·Part·Equipment industry is mostly an industry centered on small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and is an important industry for revitalizing the local economy, which is the source of manufacturing competitiveness. In this study, we tried to derive the implications necessary for the development of the Material·Part·Equipment industries by analyzing the competitiveness of the Material·Part·Equipment industries in the Chungcheong region. To this end, we analyzed the industrial development stage and competitiveness of each region (Daejeon, Sejong, Chungnam, and Chungbuk) based on business scale factor, industrial growth rate, industrial specialization, and regional competitiveness for the Material·Part·Equipment industries in the Chungcheong region. Using data such as the number of employees, the number of businesses, and the amount of production in 2014 and 2019, significant industrial groups by region were identified considering the level of industrial specialization and regional competitiveness. In addition, by identifying the positions of these significant industrial groups in the stage of industrial development, suggestions for the development of the Material·Part·Equipment industries in the Chungcheong region were presented.

The occurrence mechanisms of heatwave have been conventionally studied at a synoptic scale. However, the implications of precedent droughts on the following up heatwave occurrences have not been elucidated and are important to address the complex causal mechanisms of heatwaves. Therefore, this study evaluated the causality and implication of the seasonally antecedent droughts to summer heatwaves that occurred for 46 years since 1974 using partial least squares-structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM). The resulting contribution of winter (spring and summer) droughts to summer heatwaves for Seoul-Gyeonggi, Gangwon, and Chungcheong provinces were 37 % (29 % and 22 %), 21 % (18 % and 29 %), and 17 % (8 % and 38 %), respectively. This is due to the regional variability of seasonal drought impacts. Furthermore, Gangwon and Chungcheong provinces, which have a higher level of impacts of summer droughts to summer heatwaves, are more likely to be exposed to the compound drought-heatwave damages compared to Seoul-Gyeonggi province, which has relatively a low-level impact of summer drought.

This study attempts to present investment priorities and select industry for regional economic reinvigorating by analysing regional inter-industry of Chungchong area(including Chungnam and Chungbuk region) After the regional inter-industry table of Chungchong area has been made using a location quotient(LQ) method based on national inter-industry table of 2006 derived from national inter-industry table of 2003 using RAS method, various kind of impacts to Chungchong area are analysed. Manufacturing has the highest result in the result of production-inducing effect and value-added-inducing effect and hotels and restaurants has the highest result in employ-inducing effect. Sensitivity coefficient is highly analysed in mining and quarrying and influential coefficient is highly analysed in manufacturing.
