According to conceptual change theory, cognitive conflict is known as an important factor in conceptual change even though there are still questions about its positive and negative effects on science learning. The purpose of this study was to examine the role of cognitive conflict in the conceptual change process in detail. Specific research questions are as follows, 1) Is presenting of an anomalous situation necessary or sufficient condition for cognitive conflict? 2) Is cognitive conflict necessary or sufficient condition for conceptual change? To answer these questions, we analyzed the theories and research results in the related literature. At the end, we discussed the complex role of cognitive conflict in the conceptual change and future research.

The problem of feedback linearization of SISO nonlinear systems with outputs has been solved by Lee et al. [5]. Also, Cheng et al. [1] have found the necessary and sufficient conditions for MIMO systems, which are, however, uncheckable. In this paper, we consider the MIMO nonlinear systems and obtain the verifiable necessary and sufficient conditions for feedback linearization with output.

In this paper, we introduce how to construct sufficient conditions for the oracle property in penalized linear regression model. We give formal definitions of the oracle estimator, penalized estimator, oracle penalized estimator, and the oracle property of the oracle estimator. Based on the definitions, we present a unified way of constructing optimality conditions for the oracle property and sufficient conditions for the optimality conditions that covers most of the existing penalties. In addition, we present an illustrative example and results from the numerical study.

This study tried to reveal the relation among the necessary and sufficient conditions of human relation, which is the core concept of human-centered counseling. The relation of these three conditions are quite different according to what we take as the main content of authenticity. If we take congruence as its content, as Rogers did in his early academic years, three conditions are equal in their importance as instruments which counselor can use. But, if we take presence as its content, as Rogers did in his later academic years, authenticity possesses central position while using empathy and unconditional positive regard as its instruments. In this relation, we can say authenticity is a continuous growing process of self realization. And it also can be sad that the three necessary and sufficient conditions compose productive counseling relation inviting both counselor and client to the self realizing process.

Since a sufficient condition on the larger rate volume of 3-user correlated information sources (CIS)/non-successive interference cancellation (SIC) non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) over independent information sources (IIS)/SIC NOMA has not been investigated, this paper analyzes such a sufficient condition. First, we demonstrates that the rate volume of 3-user CIS/SIC NOMA is the same as a portion of the rate volume of 3-user IIS/SIC NOMA. Then, by identifying a dominant rate region, we calculate the sufficient condition on the larger rate volume of 3-user CIS/non-SIC NOMA over 3-user IIS/SIC NOMA. We also show that with such condition, the rate volume of 3-user CIS/non-SIC NOMA can be larger than that of 3-user IIS/SIC NOMA.

Robertson은 1961년에 subordination의 원리를 이용하여 $f(z)=z+a_zz^2+{\cdots}\;{\cdots}\;{\cdots}$가 S^{**}에 속하기 위한 충분조건을 구하였다. 본(本) 논문(論文)은 Robertson의 조건에 약간의 수정을 가해서 f(Z)가 S^{**}에 속하기 위한 필요 충분 조건을 만들고, 그것을 증명하였다.

이 논문에서는 매개변수(parameter)들이 시간에 따라 변하는 선형 시변 시스템(linear time-varying system)에서 시스템의 안정도(stability)를 보장할 수 있는 매개변수들의 변동영역(perturbation region of parameters)에 대한 충분조건을 시간영역에서 Lyapunov 방법을 사용하여 구하였다. 그리고 이 충분조건을 만족하는 매개변수 변동영역을 비선형 계획법(nonlinear programing)을 이용하여 구하는 방법을 제시하였다. 시뮬레이션 결과 이 방법으로 지금까지 이루어져 왔던 다른 연구 결과들보다 더 넓고 다양한 매개변수 변동영역을 구할 수 있었다.

The feasibility conditions of interference alignment (IA) are analyzed for reverse duplex systems, in which one cell operates as downlink (DL) while the other cell operates as uplink (UL) assuming one-sid base station (BS) cooperation. Under general multiple-input and multiple-output (MIMO) antenna configurations, a necessary condition and a sufficient condition for one-shot linear IA are established, i.e., linear IA without symbol or time extension. In several example networks, optimal sum degrees of freedom (DoF) is characterized by the derived necessary condition and sufficient condition. For some special class of networks, a sufficient condition is established in a more compact expression, which also yields the necessary and sufficient condition. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed IA does not only achieve larger DoF but also significantly improves the sum rate in the practical signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) regime.
