A Collision Compensation Method for CSMA/CR Protocol in Wireless LAN (포화상태인 무선랜 네트워크에서 Carrier Sensing Multiple Access with Collision Resolution (CSMA/CR) 프로토콜의 실용화를 위한 충돌 보상 방법)

  • A study about collision resolution is needed because huge file, video and multimedia information are transmitted to wireless LAN. CSMA/CR protocol guarantees fairness, but doesn't consider QoS. To practicalize CSMA/CR protocol in saturation fully-connected single hop network environments, this paper proposes method of collision compensation. previous CSMA/CR protocol chooses CR Slot only considering fairness, but this paper chooses front CR Slot for compensation of collision to station experiencing collisions. The station transmits jam signal and has channel priority of transmission. So transmitting efficiency and successful transmission probability rise. This proposed simple method can offer benefit to station experiencing collisions without additional hardware cost.

  • In this paper, we have implemented an FMCW radar for a near distance measurement. In the structure of the FMCW radar, it is a key problem to solve the VCO nonlinearity. In this work, we have adopted a VCO nonlinearity compensation algorithm using the spectrum correlation of beat signals. The radar experimented in this work uses an X-band(9.55~10.25GHz) microwave signal, and realizes precision of 3% in the range of 30m. The prototype can be applied to the front surveillance radar such as in vehicle anti-collision and probing robot mission.

  • In recent years, there has been a strong interest in the end-to-end autonomous driving based on deep reinforcement learning. In this paper, we present a reward function of latent SAC deep reinforcement learning to improve the longitudinal driving performance of an agent vehicle. While the existing reward function significantly degrades the driving safety and efficiency, the proposed reward function is shown to maintain an appropriate headway distance while avoiding the front vehicle collision.

  • The anti-collision system is one of units for effectual operation and safety in crane operation. Most of the system have used ultrasonic to measure position and to prevent collision of crane. But, the anti-collision system using ultrasonic is fallen the reliability of performance by the change of temperature and humidity. Hence, this study proposes neural network applied to anti-collision system to improve accuracy and stability of the measured distance data, and we evaluate performance of the system. In results of experiments, the proposed method was seen that stability and accuracy of data are improved than that of the temperature compensation method.

A Comparative Study of Ship Collision Legislation in Korea and China (한국과 중국의 선박충돌법제의 비교법적 연구)

  • The increasing trade volume between Korea and China has rapidly expanded the maritime transport between the two countries. However, safety, particularly considering the ship collisions in the Yellow Sea and East Sea waters, has not been fully ensured. These collision accidents in that region endanger traffic safety and the marine environment, moreover, it has the potential to cause legal complexity because Korea and China haver domestic legislation, that are considerably different in some aspects. International conventions and domestic legislation in China provide detailed laws with respect to ship collisions, however, the theory of ship collision infringement still needs to be improved, enriched, and developed. Because these laws are not very clear on the resolution of disputes resulting from ship collisions, we focused on the final judgments by the Supreme Court of China (SPC), and the judicial judgments set by the Maritime Court of China. This study aimed to explore the domestic legislation applicable to disputes related to ship collisions in China, and comparatively investigate the legal provisions of Korea and China on the issue of ship collisions, particularly on the aspect of damage compensation, fault ration, and liability apportionment.

Factors affecting Disclosing conflicts of Interest on consultation: comparison with Role-oriented and Self-interest Groups (이익충돌 상황에서 공개가 자문행동에 주는 효과: 자문가역할수행집단과 사익추구집단의 비교)

  • A conflict of interest (COI) places people in ethical dilemma when providing consultation in a field of business, medical/pharmaceutical industry, research etc. Disclosure is a commonly adopted strategy for the adverse effect of COI, but previous studies have reported inconsistent results. This investigated whether individual differences in pursuing self-interest influence differently on consultation behavior during voluntary- or no-disclosure of COI conditions. A total of 190 adults participated in an on-line experiment which consisted of two tasks. On the 1st task, participants were divided into either a role-oriented group or a self-interest group depending on their consultation choice on the task. On the 2nd task, participants were required to choose whether to disclose COI to his/her virtual partner and provided consultation to them. No group differences were found in frequency of choosing voluntary disclosure. For the role-oriented group, the voluntary disclosure group provided unbiased information to the virtual partners than the no disclosure group. However, no group difference between voluntary- and no-disclosure group in the self-interest group. Implications and limitations are further discussed.

  • In this paper, we present a new method to complete Dynamic Spectrum Access by modifying the reward function. Partially Observable Markov Decision Process (POMDP) is an eligible algorithm to predict the upcoming spectrum opportunity. In POMDP, Reward function is the last portion and very important for prediction. However, the Reward function has only two states (Busy and Idle). When collision happens in the channel, reward function indicates busy state which is responsible for the throughput decreasing of secondary user. In this paper, we focus the difference between busy and collision state. We have proposed a new algorithm for reward function that indicates an additional state of collision which brings better communication opportunity for secondary users. Secondary users properly utilize opportunities to access Primary User channels for efficient data transmission with the help of the new reward function. We have derived mathematical belief vector of the new algorithm as well. Simulation results have corroborated the superior performance of improved reward function. The new algorithm has increased the throughput for secondary user in cognitive radio network.

  • 투구운동은 견관절에 반복적인 압박력 및 신장력을 가하게 되며 이는 견관절의 정적 안정력의 약화를 유발하게 된다. 초기의 경도의 불안정성은 근육 등 동적 안정력의 작용으로 안정적인 운동상태를 유지할 수 있으나 반복적인 운동이 지속될 경우 근육이 피로해 져서 동적 안정력의 보상작용을 통한 안정성을 얻을 수 없게 된다. 이는 일차적으로 견관절의 불안정성을 유발할 뿐만 아니라, 이차적으로 견봉하 충돌증후 및 내적 충돌증후 등의 증상을 나타내기도 한다. 과 투구로 인한 대부분의 운동손상은 보존적 치료로 좋은 결과를 볼 수 있으며, 이는 일차적으로 투구를 중지하여 관절을 안정시키며 진통 소염제나 물리치료 등을 통한 항 염증치료, 그리고 회전근개 및 견갑골 주위근육의 강화운동 등의 단계로 진행된다. 적절한 보존적 치료에도 불구하고 증상이 지속될 경우 정확한 진단에 근거한 수술적 치료 및 조절된 재활운동 프로그램을 통해 조기 운동 복귀를 기대할 수 있다.

A Study on the Insured Perils of fishing Vessel Insurance Clauses (어선보험약관의 담보위험에 관한 연구)

  • Fishing vessel insurance of National Federation of Fisheries Cooperatives indemnifies the assured against marine losses by reason of maritime perils, that is to say, perils of the seas, sinking, stranding, collision, extraordinary action of winds waves and fire, damage, salvage. Therefore this insurance is a rational protective measures for preserving fishermen's property by the exposure to maritime perils. But there may be some problems on the perils covered by fishing vessel insurance clauses bemuse these clauses are not clearly and accurately prescribed in part. Especially where the assured may claim payment from fortuitous accidents or casualties of the seas musing the loss, they used to raise a question in argument about the ambiguity of these clauses. So these problems may need to be reformed for the purpose of preventing or decreasing those of the assured, the fishermen. After drawing out some problems on the perils covered by fishing vessel insurance clauses, this thesis will suggest the improving schemes on the perils covered by these clauses.
