'테트리스'라는 게임을 모르는 사람이 있을까? 1980년대 후반 전자오락실을 평정했던 자타가 공인하는 최고의 킬링 타임용 게임이다. 테트리스의 게임 방식은 여러 가지 모형이 무작위로 나타나 위에서 아래로 떨어지고, 버튼을 누르면 회전해 모양이 바뀌고, 모형의 조합이 맞아떨어지면 소멸되는 기본 원칙은 신선한 충격이었다.

Technical ceramics, due to their unique physical properties, are excellent candidate materials for engineering applications involving extreme thermal and chemical environments. When ceramics are rapidly cooled, they receive thermal shock. The thermal shock parameter is defined as the critical temperature difference. The critical temperature difference for ceramic parts is influenced by its size, the convective heat transfer coefficient, etc. The thermal shock for a component is analyzed by using the transient thermal stress. If the transient thermal stress exceeds the modulus of rupture (MOR), cracking by thermal shock is initiated. The critical temperature difference for water is less than the critical temperature difference for air. The three-way catalyst substrate used in this study has an adequate performance against thermal shock because its radial and axial temperature differences existed below the critical temperature differences.

A pneumatic cylinder used to sliding seal which seal the element one to another in relative motion. It is difficult to accuracy control because of adhesion phenomenon. To confirm this phenomenon, it is carried to friction force test and analysis for bellows type rodless cylinder. In the rodless cylinder of this type, friction force test is very important. Through the theoretical analysis of shock absorber obtained the optimal design of bellows type rodless cylinder. As the result of the friction force test, LM Guide type is suitable for work under low friction force.

This paper presents the results of Ka band qualification model multiplexers for COMS Payload to be launched in 2008. These are the input and output multiplexers of the satellite transponder to use available frequency resources effectively and the diplexer of the satellite antenna to use the same reflector for both transmitting and receiving frequency bands, respectively. The input multiplexer with four frequency channels has four(4) independent channel filters which consist of an 8-pole elliptic band-pass filter for high frequency selectivity and a 2-pole equalizer for group delay equalization. For low insertion loss, mass and volume reduction, manifold type os employed for output multiplexer. E-plane T-junction is used for either splitting or combining a frequency band into two sub-bands. Asymmetric inductive irises are used to tune the receiving filter easily. The electrical performance and environmental test such as vibration test, mechanical shock test, thermal vacuum test and EMC test are performed and the results of all qualification model multiplexers are compliant to the requirement of each multiplexer. Followed by this qualification, the flight model equipment will be developed.
