With the current advances in insect toxicant bioassay, the need for easy methods of estimating the dosage-mortality regression equation has become vital. The Probit analysis seems to be not convenient for estimating the dosage-mortality regression equation and median lethal dose(LD50) because of its complexity in calculation. This study presents a comparision between Probit and Losit transformation for the estimation from bioassay results. Validation of the two methods is presented for the pathogenecity of nuclear polyhedrosis virus to the larva of fall web worm, Hyphantria cunea D.

This paper discusses a method of analyzing data from split-plot experiments by projections. The assumed model for data has two experimental errors due to two different experimental sizes and some random components in treatment effects. Residual random models are constructed to obtain sums of squares due to random effects. Expectations of sums of squares are obtained by Hartley's synthesis. Estimable functions of fixed effects are discussed.

선박의 저항을 추정하는 일은 선박설계에 있어 가장 기본적인 작업이다. 그러나 선박의 크기는 매우 크기 때문에 일반적으로 모형선 실험을 통해 선박의 저항을 추정한다. 이 때, 모형선 실험은 Froude 수를 기준으로 수행하게 되는데 이 때문에 모형선과 실선의 Reynolds 수가 서로 다른 영역에 놓이게 된다. 따라서 모형선 실험에서 얻어진 데이터를 실선에 그대로 적용할 수 없기 때문에 모형선-실선 저항추정법을 사용하게 된다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 모형선-실선 저항추정법에 사용되고 있는 2 차원 외삽법을 살펴보고 이 기법에 사용되고 있는 ITTC 마찰저항곡선을 등가평판 주위의 유동장 해석결과와 비교하였으며 ITTC 마찰저항곡선에 대해 고찰하였다.

최대허용하중을 결정에는 여러가지 방법이 있지만, 그 중 특히 심리육체적 방법은 빈도수가 적고 반복적인 들기 작업을 평가하기 위해서 널리 사용되어 왔다. 하지만 이 방법은 작업방법의 조합이 많아질수록 최대허용하중을 결정하는데 걸리는 시간은 커지게 된다. 이를 단축시키 위한 한가지 대안인 직접추정법은 일종의 비율 척도 (ratio scale)를 사용하여 자극과 주관적 평가를 연결시키는 방법으로서 넓은 범위의 자극에 대한 인간의 반응을 자극에 짧게 노출되더라도 정확 하게 예측할 수 있는 정확한 수단인 것으로 보여진 바 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 네 가지의 들기 빈도 (분당 1, 2, 4, 6 회)와 두 가지의 수직 이동거리 (Floor to Knuckle, Knuclke to Shoulder)로 구성되는 8가지의 대칭적인 (symmetrical)들기 작업에 대하여 심리육체적 방법과 기준작업을 달리한 직접추정법을 사용하여 최대허용하중을 결정하고 그 값들을 비교, 분석하였으며 이를 근거로 직접 추정법의 기준변화에 따른 추정능력 정도에 대하여 검토하였다.

In this study we compared three models for small area estimation, Fay-Herriot, Hierarchical Bayses model and spatio-temporal model about charter, monthly rent price index. Charter, monthly rent price of Korea are important issue in these days. Because housing type rapidly changes from self to charter and monthly rent. The accuracy of the estimation was checked on four scales, that is ARB, ASRB, AAB, ASD. In this result, the spatio-temporal model among applied models has most optimal scales about small area estimation of charter and monthly rent index.

We propose an iterated interpolation approach for the estimation fo time series parameters in the presence of outliers. The proposed approach iterates the parameter estimation stage and the outlier detection stage until no further outliers are detected. For the detection of outliers, interpolation diagnostic is applied, where the atypical observations by the one-step-ahead predictor instead of downweighting is also proposed. The performance of the proposed estimation methods is compared with other robust estimation methods by simulation study. It is observed that the iterated interpolation approach performs reasonably well is general, especially for single AO case and large $\phi$ in absolute values.

This paper presents the method for an estimation of discharge current waveshapes in short gap discharge by radiated electromagnetic fields. The method of current waveform estimation described is using the one antenna method(single field method) and two antennal method(complex field method) with a measured electric or magnetic fields at given field point by a time domain antenna. In order to verify the availability of the estimation theory, the discharge current waveshape estimation was performed by one and two antenna methods using the measured electric fields of Wilson & Ma and compared with experiments.

The purpose of this paper is to study the design and the construction for the most economic and safe slope stability analysis. The approach to the purpose Iies in analyzing the characteristic on direction and distance by the sample value for the geotechnical parameters using the semi-variogram concept. Based on the result, we derive the Kriging system equation from the stochastical concept and solve the equation to find the weighting factor which is applied both the point estimation and the block estimation in the particular position. Comparing and analyzing the various methods. we find the best reliability, which is more accurate than any other.

Phase I Clinical Trials estimate a Maximum Tolerated Dose(MTD). In this paper, an MTD estimation method applied stopping rule is proposed for Phase I Clinical Trials. The suggested MTD estimation method is compared to the Continual Reassessment Method(CRM) method using a Monte Carlo simulation study.

전류 적산법(Coulomb counting, Ampere counting)을 이용한 배터리 SOC(State of Charge) 추정 방식은 초기 SOC 값에 존재하는 오차와 SOC를 추정하는 시간동안 누적되는 전류값의 오차로 인해 추정이 실패할 수 있는 단점이 존재한다. 하지만 알고리즘이 직관적이며 단시간 내에서는 그 오차가 크지않고, 상용화된 배터리 SOC 추정 IC가 존재하여 구현이 간단하다는 장점 또한 있다. 본 논문에서는 전류 적산법 기반의 배터리 SOC 추정 IC를 사용하여 $LiFePO_4$ 리튬 폴리머 배터리의 SOC 추정 회로를 구현하는 과정을 제안한다. 또한 실험을 통해 제안된 배터리 SOC 추정 회로의 성능을 확인해본다.
