페리이트의 총형 연삭에서 전착 다이아몬드 연삭숫돌의 최적 연삭조건 (Optimum Grinding Condition for Electroplated Diamond Wheel in Form Grinding of Ferrite)

  • This paper aims to clatify the potimum grinding condition for the electroplated diamond wheel in form grinding of Sr-ferrite. The main conclusions obtained were as follows. (1) The flexural strength and surface roughness of ferrite became the highest at the peripheral wheel speed of 1700m/min. (2) In the case of depth of cut larger than 0.4mm, crack layers is induced in the ground surface, the fracture type of chips exhibits slight ductile mode in the depth of cut smaller than 0.2mm. (3) When the depth of cut exceed 0.6mm, the tool life becomes extermely short due to large chipping and brackage. However, at the depth of cut .geq. 0.05mm, the diamond grain shows abrasive wear. (4) The flexural strength and surface roughness increases in proportion to the feed rate.

  • As consumers in optics, electronics, aerospace and electronics industry grow, the demand for ultra-precision aspheric surface lens increases higher. To enhance the precision and productivity of ultra precision aspheric surface micro lens, the development of ultra-precision grinding system and process for the aspheric surface micro lens are described. In the work reported in this paper, an ultra-precision grinding system for manufacturing the aspheric surface micro lens was developed by considering the factors affecting the ground surface roughness and profile accuracy. This paper deals with mirror grinding of an aspheric surface micro lens by resin bonded diamond wheel and spherical lens of BK7. The optimization of grinding conditions on ground surface roughness and profiles accuracy is investigated using the design of experiments.

  • This paper describes an expert system on the cylindrical grinding operations in order to establish the optimum grinding conditions, which satisfy the maximum removal rates, considering the several constraints of grinding power, workpiece burn, chatter vibration and surface roughness. Specialized knowledge of the grinding operations are acquired from the actual operation database. Coefficientis in the experimental equations are obtaines through the fuzzy regression model based on the fuzzy set theory, and are stored in the actual operation database. The developed system is capable of determining the optimum grinding conditions taking into account some problems, and practical examples of implementaion are described.

  • Automobile brake discs are a major part of automobiles that are directly related to driver safety, and prevention of judder and squall noise is very important. This phenomenon occurs for complex reasons such as the precision and assembly of the brake module, and the material of the brake disc. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of the grinding wheel's grain size on the grinding conditions when machining cast iron, the material of the brake disc, and to derive the optimal grinding conditions through this.

내면연삭(內面硏削)의 가공능률향상(加工能率向上)에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Internal Grinding to Improving the Grinding Efficiency)

  • This paper describes on the establishment of an optimal internal grinding conditions for the purpose of improving the grinding efficiency against to the high-speed grinding. Through the fundamental grinding tests for the brittle and hardened material, we are concluded that high-speed internal grinding is effective to improve the grinding accuracy as well as the grinding efficiency. The obtained results are as follows: (1) Under the speed ratio $(V_w/V_g)$ is constant, it is possible to increase the grinding efficiency with satifying the constraint conditions. (2) Increasing the wheel velocity, surface roughness and out-roundness are improved. (3) Under the wheel depth of cut is constant and increasing the speed ratio, workpiece residual stress is decreased. The described method, in this paper, is capable of determining the optimum internal grinding conditions taking into account some constraint conditions, and practical algorithm for optimum internal grinding conditions are presented.

최적 연속 전해드레싱에 의한 연삭기구의 규명에 관한 연구 (A study on the analysis of grinding mechanism by using optimum in-process electrolytic dressing)

  • In recent years, grinding techniques for precision machining of brittle materials used in electric, optical and magnetic parts have been improved by using superabrasive wheel and precision grinding machine. The completion of optimum dressing of superabrasive wheel makes possible the effective precision grinding of brittle materials. However, the present dressing system cannot have control of optimum dressing of the superabrasive wheel. In this study, a new system and the grinding mechanism of optimum in-process electrolytic dressing were proposed. This system can carry out optimum in-process dressing of superabrasive wheel, and give very effective control according to unstable current and gap increase. Therefore, the optimum in-process electrolytic dressing is a good method to obtain the efficiency and mirror-like grinding of brittle materials.

  • In this paper, a multi-step optimization using genetic algorithm with variable penalty function is introduced to the structural design optimization of a grinding machine. The design problem, in this study, is to find out the optimum configuration and dimensions of structural members which minimize the static compliance, the dynamic compliance, and the weight of the machine structure simultaneously under several design constraints such as dimensional constraints, maximum deflection limit, safety criterion, and maximum vibration amplitude limit. The first step is shape optimization, in which the best structural configuration is found by getting rid of structural members that have no contributions to the design objectives from the given initial design configuration. The second and third steps are sizing optimization. The second design step gives a set of good design solutions having higher fitness for lightweight and minimum static compliance. Finally the best solution, which has minimum dynamic compliance and weight, is extracted from the good solution set. The proposed design optimization method was successfully applied to the structural design optimization of a grinding machine. After optimization, both static and dynamic compliances are reduced more than 58.4% compared with the initial design, which was designed empirically by experienced engineers. Moreover the weight of the optimized structure are also slightly reduced than before.

페룰 무심연삭 가공의 표면거칠기 향상을 위한 최적인자 선정 (Selection of Optimum Conditions for Improving Surface Roughness of Ferrule in Centerless Grinding)

  • The surface roughness in centerless grinding is mainly affected by the many process parameters. For improving the surface roughness, the control of grinding parameters is very important. This paper deals with the analysis of the process parameters such as height of renters, tilting angle of the regulating wheel with respect to grinding wheel, rotation speed of regulating wheel, which are developed based on design of experiments such as factorial design. The investigation can enhance the surface roughness of ferrule. Finally, we have verified improved results of the optimized conditions.
