Model Test Study on the Reinforcing Effect of Inclined System Bolting (경사볼트의 보강효과에 대한 모형시험 연구)

  • The rockbolt functions as a main support, which restricts enlargement of the plasticity area and increases stability in the original ground around tunnels, and prevents a second deformation of an excavated surface by supplementing vulnerability arising from opening of the excavated surface. System bolting is generally applied if ground conditions are bad. System bolting is generally installed perpendicular to the excavation direction in every span. If a place is narrow, or it is difficult to insert bolts due to construction conditions, it may be connected and used with short bolts, or installed obliquely. In this study, laboratory model tests were performed to analyze the effect of the ground being reinforced by inclined bolts, based on a bending theory that assumes that the reinforced ground is a simple beam. In all test cases, deflections and vertical earth pressures induced by overburden soil pressure were measured. Total of 99 model tests were carried out, by changing the installation angle of bolts, lateral and longitudinal distance of bolts, and soil height. The model test results indicated that when the installation angle of bolts was less than $75^{\circ}$, deflections of model beams tended to increase rapidly. Also, the relaxed load that was calculated by earth pressure was rapidly increased when the installation angle of bolts was less than $75^{\circ}$. However, the optimum installation angle of inclined bolts was judged to be in the range of $90^{\circ}{\sim}75^{\circ}$. Also, as might be expected, the reinforcement effect of bolts was increased when the longitudinal and lateral distance of bolts was decreased.

  • In this paper, we present integer programming models and algorithms for the Capacitated Facility Location-Allocation Problem (CFLP). The models and algorithms can be used for the design of logistics networks and for the location of telecommunication facilities. We are given a set of candidate facility installation sites, one type of facility for each candidate site with its capacity and installation cost, a set of customers with their demand requirement, and flow cost for one unit of demand flow from each customer to each candidate site. (CFLP) is to determine the number of facilities for each candidate site and the set of customers which are connected to each site with minimum cost, while satisfying the demand requirement of each customer and constraints imposed on the allocation of customers to facilities. We present two integer programming models for (CFLP), and devise a branch-and-cut algorithm and a branch-and-price algorithm for the problem.

A Study on Optimal Reinforcing Type of Precast Retaining Wall Reinforced by Micropiles (마이크로파일로 보강된 프리캐스트 콘크리트 옹벽의 최적보강형태에 관한 연구)

  • The PCRW (Precast Concrete Retaining Wall) has many advantages compared with cast in place concrete retaining wall : shorter construction period, excellency of quality and minimum interference with the adjacent structure and traffics. However, shallow foundation type of PCRW, which has comparatively better ground condition, has some disadvantages such as difficulty in transportation and higher cost due to the size of PCRW being expanded by resisting only with self-weight if there is no other supplementary reinforcement. The presented study, in order to complement such disadvantages of PCRW, have applied the micropile method. The micropile method has advantages like low-cost and high-efficiency and does not require huge space, because it can be executed with small size equipment. However, the mechanical behavior characteristics of the PCRW reinforced by micropile, which is installed to improve the reinforcement effect, is not yet clearly identified and there is no suggested standard as to the length, diameter, install angle and install position of micropiles. Hence, this method is yet being designed depend on engineer's experience. In this study, various laboratory model tests as to sliding and overturning were performed in order to identify and present the optimum type of reinforcement and reinforcement effect of the PCRW reinforced by micropiles. In addition, it also executed numerical analysis for the purpose of verifying the optimum type of reinforcement for micropiles based on the results of laboratory model tests. The optimum reinforcement type of micropiles was estimated by model test and numerical analysis. The length of micropiles is 0.4 times wall height and the diameter is 0.04 times wall length.

Flow resistance characteristics of tree trunk rips (나무줄기 돌출줄눈의 흐름저항 특성)

  • 돌출줄눈은 산지하천의 만곡부의 빠른 유속을 감소시키기 위하여 활용된다. 본 연구에서는 친환경 디자인의 나무줄기 돌출줄눈(Tree Trunk Rip, TTR)과 사다리꼴 돌출줄눈(Trapezoid Rip, TR)의 흐름저항을 비교 분석하기 위하여 개수로 수리실험을 수행하였다. 실험은 길이 9m, 폭이 0.6m이며 경사가 0.0035로 고정된 개수로의 한쪽 측벽에 돌출줄눈을 설치하여 진행하였다. 사다리 꼴 돌출줄눈의 형상은 밑변 각이 $63^{\circ}$이며 무차원 설치간격 ${\lambda}_{nv}$가 6, 9, 12인 경우이다. 나무줄기 돌출줄눈의 기본 형상은 사다리꼴이고 표면은 나무껍질 무늬이며 ${\lambda}_{nv}$가 약 10이다. 나무줄기 돌출줄눈의 간격은 사다리꼴 돌출줄눈의 최적 설치 간격 9~12배 범위에 해당되고 평균 마찰계수는 사다리꼴 돌출줄눈의 9~12배의 평균 마찰계수 범위에 포함되었다. 사다리꼴 돌출줄눈의 ${\lambda}_{nv}$가 9, 12일 때의 전체 저항에 대한 형상저항의 비는 평균 $69.4{\pm}5.8%$였으며 나무줄기 돌출줄눈은 $70.2{\pm}2.1%$로 사다리꼴 돌출줄눈과 유사하다. 산지하천 흐름저항을 위한 돌출줄눈 설치에 있어 친환경적 디자인을 고려한 나무줄기가 사다리꼴 돌출줄눈보다 활용도가 클 것으로 기대된다.

Optimum Design of Stiffeners in the Stiffened Cylindrical Shells Based on Structural Stability (좌굴을 고려한 원통쉘 보강재의 최적설계에 대하여)

  • An efficient approach to the buckling analysis of stiffened cylindrical shells with rings and stringers under the axial and the lateral pressure loadings is presented. By this approach, the local buckling as well as overall buckling behavior has been investigated considering the discreteness of stiffeners and appropriate adoption of displacement functions. Some design criteria based on structural stability to determine optimum scantlings of stiffeners are also suggested. It is shown that the optimum scantlings of stiffeners can be designed from the condition of equal local and overall buckling strength.

실시간 부하예측 기술을 이용한 빙축열 냉방시스템의 최적제어

  • 최근 경제성장과 생활수준의 향상으로 냉방기기의 설치가 보편화되면서 하절기 냉방부하 증가에 따른 전력 에너지 공급상의 위기를 맞고 있다. 이와 같은 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 한국전력공사에서는 심야 전력 공급 시간에 냉동기를 가동하여, 얼음의 형태로 냉열을 저장하였다가 주간 냉방에 활용하는 빙축열 냉방 시스템을 보급 하여 주간전력 사용을 우회시키는 방법으로 전력수급의 안정화에 기여하고 예비율을 높이려는 노력을 하고 있다. 이러한 빙축열 냉방 시스템을 좀더 효율적으로 사용하기 위해서는 빙축열 냉방 시스템에 대한 연구가 필요하며 특히 빙축열 부하예측 기술과 시스템 최적제어 기술의 개발은 최대순간 요구부하의 개선은 물론 시스템의 성능향상과 에너지 소비감소에도 효과적으로 쓰일 수 있다. 따라서 본고에서는 야간에 빙축조에 저장시킨 축열만으로 주간의 냉방부하를 감당하게 하는 전부하 축열 방식을 선택하여 시스템 각 구성요소의 동적현상을 고려한 효과적인 수학적 모텔을 제시하고 이를 사용하여 빙축열 냉방시스탱의 최적제어 알고리즘을 개발하고 시뮬레이션을 통해 그 효율성을 확인하는 것을 목적으로 한다.

  • 본 연구에서는 수송 네트워크에서의 최대효용경로문제를 정의하였다. 그리고 비순환적인 수송 네트워크에서의 최대효용경로를 구하는 최적해법을 제시하였다. 일반적인 수송 네트워크에서 각 경로가 가지는 효용가치는, 그 경로를 설치함으로써 연결 가능하게 되는 모든 마디의 쌍이 얻는 효용의 합이다. 즉, 일정한 출발지로 부터 도착지에 이르는 운송노선이 중도에 경유하는 모든 지점들 사이에 요구되는 운송 서어비스를 충족시켜줌으로써 얻게되는 효용의 합이 최대가 되도록 경유지를 정하는 문제를 최대효용경로 문제로 모형화하였다. 그리고 주어진 수송 네트워크가 비순환적인 경우라 하더라도 정의된 최대효용 경로 문제가 NP-hard 임을 3-Satisfiability문제를 이용하여 보였다. 또한 Shortest Path와 K-th Shortest Path를 이용하여 최적해법을 개발하였다.

A Study on Solar Panel Installation Angles for Stratospheric Platform Airship Power Systems (성층권 비행선 전원공급용 태양전지의 부착각도에 관한 연구)

  • A study on the installation angle of solar panels is conducted as a conceptual study on solar-RFC(regenerative fuel cell) system for stratospheric airships. The airship heads for the west in winter days and the east in summer days according to wind directions. Considering this, it is found that when the solar panel is installed with the center angle of 30 degree the energy output of solar panels is maximized on winter solstice and satisfies the required energy of summer days as well. Although with the optimized solar panel installation angle, efficiency of the regenerative power system needs be improved to 47% to provide required energy of a 170m-long airship. And the required amount of efficiency improvement decreases as the airship size increases.

  • 본 연구에서는 교육용으로 제작된 NXT 장비에 설치된 Light 센서, Ultrasonic센서, Sound센서를 이용하여 각 거리(10~60cm)에서 5cm 간격으로 각 센서 데이터를 취득하였다. 데이터 취득은 NI(National Instrument)에서 제공하는 LabVIEW Software를 사용하여 각 거리마다 100개의 셈플 데이터를 취득하였다. 취득한 데이터는 제안한 모델의 입력 데이터로 사용하여 실제거리와 모델 출력과의 정확도를 평가 하였다. 본 연구에서 제안한 모델은 지능형 모델 중 퍼지추론 기반의 최적 다항식 RBF 뉴럴네트워크(Radial Basis Function Neural Network; RBFNN)를 설계한다. 제안된 RBFNN은 기존 RBF 뉴럴네트워크를 기반으로 한 구조로, 퍼지추론 메커니즘의 기능적 모듈 동작 특성을 갖도록 정규화 부분을 추가하고, 은닉층과 출력층 사이의 연결가중치를 기존 상수항에서 선형식(first order)으로 확장한 형태이다. 또한 최적의 알고리즘인 PSO(Paticle Swarm Optimization)와 DE(Differential Evolution)을 이용하여 제안된 모델의 파라미터들을 동정하여 성능을 비교, 분석 하였다.

Study of flood prevention alternative priorities using MCDM (Multi-Criteria Decision Making) (MCDM을 이용한 홍수방어대안 우선순위 정립에 관한 연구)

  • Recently, due to global warming and climate change in Korea, local heavy storm occurs frequently. In this study, the risky areas for flooding in urban areas are analyzed for flood inundation based on two-dimensional urban flood runoff model (XP-SWMM) focusing on coastal high flood-risk urban areas. In addition, the MCDM (Multi-Criteria Decision Making) technique is utilized in order to establish the flood defense structural measures. The alternative flood reduction method are compared and the optimum flood defense measures are selected. A simulation model was used with three structural flood prevention measures (drainage pipe construction, water detention, flood pumping station). In order to decrease the flooding area, flood assessment criteria are suggested (flooded area, maximum inundation depth, damaged residential area, construction cost). Priorities of alternatives are determined by using compromise programming. As a result, the optimal flood defence alternative suggested for Janghang Zone 1 is flood pumping station and for Janghang Zone 2, 3 are drainage pipe construction.
