In this paper, in order to design the A / D converter with a high resolution of 14 bits or more for the biological signal processing, CMOS delta sigma modulator that is a 1.8V power supply voltage - were designed. we propose a new structure of The fourth order delta-sigma modulator that needs four op amps but we use only two op amps. By using a time -interleaving technique, we can re-construct the circuit and reuse the op amps. Also, we proposed a KT/C noise reduction circuit to reduce the thermal noise from a noisy resistor. We adjust the size of sampling capacitor between sampling time and integrating time, so we can reduce almost a half of KT/C noise. The measurement results of the chip is fabricated using a Magna 0.18um CMOS n-well1 poly 6 metal process. Power consumption is $828{\mu}W$ from a 1.8V supply voltage. The peak SNDR is measured as a 75.7dB and 81.3dB of DR at 1kHz input frequency and 256kHz sampling frequency. Measurement results show that KT/C noise reduction circuit enhance the 3dB of SNDR. FOM of the circuit is calculated to be 142dB and 41pJ / step.

This paper proposes an algorithm that proves an NP-complete 4-color theorem by employing a linear time complexity where $O(n)$. The proposed algorithm accurately halves the vertex set V of the graph $G=(V_1,E_1)$ into the Maximum Independent Set (MIS) $\bar{C_1}$ and the Minimum Vertex Cover Set $C_1$. It then assigns the first color to $\bar{C_1}$ and the second to $\bar{C_2}$, which, along with $C_2$, is halved from the connected graph $G=(V_2,E_2)$, a reduced set of the remaining vertices. Subsequently, the third color is assigned to $\bar{C_3}$, which, along with $C_3$, is halved from the connected graph $G=(V_3,E_3)$, a further reduced set of the remaining vertices. Lastly, denoting $C_3$ as $\bar{C_4}$, the algorithm assigns the forth color to $\bar{C_4}$. The algorithm has successfully obtained the chromatic number ${\chi}(G)=4$ with 100% probability, when applied to two actual map and two planar graphs. The proposed "four color algorithm", therefore, could be employed as a general algorithm to determine four-color for planar graphs.
The thermal degradation kinetics of SBR and tire were studied using a conventional thermogravimetric analysis in the stream nitrogen at a heating rate of 5, 10, 15, $20^{\circ}C/min$, respectively. Thermogravimetric curves and their derivatives were analyzed using various analytical methods to determine the kinetic parameters. The degradation of the SBR and tire was found to be a complex process which has multi-stages. The Friedman method gave average activation energies for the SBR and tire of 247.53kJ/mol and 230.00kJ/mol, respectively. Mean-while, the Ozawa method Eave 254.80kJ/mol and 215.76kJ/mol. It would appear that either. Friedman's differential method or Ozawa's integral method provided satisfactory mathematical approaches to determine the kinetic parameters for the degradation of the SBR and tire. Approximately 86% and 55% of oil products were obtained at a final temperature of $700^{\circ}C$ and a heating rate of $20^{\circ}C/min$ for the SBR and tire respectively.
For a marine bridge foundation construction, a large-circular-steel-pipe has been proposed for supporting vertical load and preventing water infiltration. However, a ship collision can adversely affect the structural stability. This paper presents a fundamental study on dynamic responses of the large-circular-steel-pipe by an impact load. In laboratory experiments, small-scaled steel pipe is installed in a soil tank. The soil height and water level are set to 23 cm and 25~70 cm, respectively. The upper part of the steel pipe is impacted using a hammer to simulate the ship collision. The dynamic responses are measured using accelerometers and strain gauges. Experimental results show that the strain decreases as the measured location is lowered. The higher frequency components appear in the impact load condition compared to the microtremor condition. However, the higher frequency components measured at the strain gauge located below the water level do not appear. For the accelerometer signal, the maximum frequency under the impact load is higher than that of the microtremor. The maximum frequency decreases as water level increases but it is larger than the maximum frequency of the microtremor. This study shows that strain gauge and accelerometer can be useful for evaluating the dynamic responses of large-circular-steel-pipes.
This paper mainly deals with the analysis of probabilistic characteristics of the disturbed function proposed to predict dynamic behavior of Geosynthetic-soil interface as the lining and cover systems used in waste landfills. Calibration and statistical property estimation of the parameters in the disturbed function model were first performed using many experimental data obtained from a new multi-purpose interface apparatus (M-PIA). In order to analyze the effect due to changes in chemical degradation and normal loads condition, probabilistic properties such as mean, coefficient of variation and distribution type of the disturbed function were evaluated using both the LHS method known to be a very efficient sampling scheme and the estimated statistical property of A and Z. As a result, variation of the disturbed function is found to range approximately from 10~28% according to the level of ${\xi}_D$ and Weibull appears to be the most adequate distribution type at almost all levels of ${\xi}_D$. It is concluded that a probabilistic safety assessment method for Geosynthetic-soil interface considering uncertainty in shear strength can be developed by utilizing probabilistic properties of the disturbed function obtained in this study.

This paper offers solutions to unresolved $43{\leq}R(5,5){\leq}49$ and $102{\leq}R(6,6){\leq}165$ problems of Ramsey's number. The Ramsey's number R(s,t) of a complete graph $k_n$ dictates that n-1 number of incidental edges of a arbitrary vertex ${\upsilon}$ is dichotomized into two colors: (n-1)/2=R and (n-1)/2=B. Therefore, if one introduces the concept of distance to the vertex ${\upsilon}$, one may construct a partite graph $K_n=K_L+{\upsilon}+K_R$, to satisfy (n-1)/2=R of {$K_L,{\upsilon}$} and (n-1)/2=B of {${\upsilon},K_R$}. Subsequently, given that $K_L$ forms the color R of $K_{s-1)$, $K_S$ is attainable. Likewise, given that $K_R$ forms the color B of $K_{t-1}$, $K_t$ is obtained. By following the above-mentioned steps, $R(s,t)=K_n$ was obtained, satisfying necessary and sufficient conditions where, for $K_L$ and $K_R$, the maximum distance should be even and incidental edges of all vertices should be equal are satisfied. This paper accordingly proves R(5,5)=43 and R(6,6)=91.
The Ag-impregnated activated carbon was produced from bamboo activated carbon by soaking method of silver nitrate solution. The carbonization and activation of raw material was conducted at $900^{\circ}C$. Soaking conditions are the variation of silver nitrate solution concentration (0.002~0.1 mol/L) and soaking time (maximum 24 h). The specific surface area and pore size distribution of the prepared activated carbons were measured. Also, NO and activated carbon reaction were conducted in a thermogravimetric analyzer in order to use for de-NOx agents of used activated carbon. Carbon-NO reactions were carried out with respect to reaction temperature ($20{\sim}850^{\circ}C$) and NO gas partial pressure (0.1~1.8 kPa). As results, Ag amounts are saturated within 2h, Ag amounts increased 1.95 mg Ag/g (0.2%)~ 88.70 mg Ag/g (8.87%) with the concentration of silver nitrate solution in the range of 0.002~0.1 mol/L. The specific volume and surface area of bamboo activated carbon of impregnated with 0.2% silver were maximum, but decreased with increasing Ag amounts of activated carbon due to pore blocking. In NO reaction, the reaction rate of impregnated bamboo activated carbon was retarded as compare with that of bamboo activated carbon. Measured reaction orders of NO concentration and activation energy were 0.63[BA], 0.69l[BA(Ag)] and 80.5 kJ/mol[BA], 66.4 kJ/mol[BA(Ag)], respectively.

Iron-containing TNU-9 zeolites were prepared by aqueous ion exchange in the range of Fe contents 0.6~3.3 wt%. Direct decomposition of $N_2O$ was performed varying $N_2O$ concentrations and reaction temperatures. Fe-TNU-9 zeolites used were characterized using XRD, $N_2$ sorption, SEM/EDX. A 2.7 wt% Fe-TNU-9 zeolite showed high activities and above this contents of Fe the effect of catalytic activity was little dominated. Fe-TNU-9 zeolites after ion exchange conserved their TNU-9 structure although the degree of crystallinity was decreased until ca. 60% in 3.1 wt% Fe-TNU-9 zeolite after ion exchange in 0.01 M Fe solution. The decrease in the degree of crystallinity could be correlated with the decrease of surface area and pore volume. The partial reaction order of $N_2O$ in the decomposition of $N_2O$ was dependent on the reaction temperature from 0.69 at $420^{\circ}C$ to 0.97 at $494^{\circ}C$. The activation energy of $N_2O$ was also dependent on the $N_2O$ concentration and its value is ranged to 34~43 kcal/mol.
This study aims to establish a monitoring method for managing the effective maintenance of tailings dams. The monitoring of a tailings dump area involves several parameters and their investigation through a selection of evaluation items. The extents of defects and progressive failures also need to be effectively estimated. Therefore, the monitoring items can be subdivided into categories relating to the retaining wall structure (concrete wall, reinforcing stone wall, mesh gabions) and general facilities (liner, covering soil, slope, tailings, rain protection facility, leachate, planting), and quantitative evaluations can then be conducted for each condition. In doing so, we developed a systematic monitoring method that assesses the dam maintenance condition with grades and scores. The field application of the monitoring method results showed it to provide a more detailed evaluation than existing monitoring methods: the method detected an additional 16 defects missed by conventional methods. The evaluation gave scores of 89.3, 22.2, and 27.8 to the Geumjang mine tailings dam, the Gupoong mine tailings dam, and the Hwachun mine tailings dam, respectively. The advanced method can provide quantitative evaluation and perform detailed monitoring of the dams. This quantitative evaluation can be used to decide on maintenance priorities, select the main management items, and establish schedules of maintenance.
In this study, the effects of groundwater artificial recharge through vertical wells in the upper small basin are preliminarily evaluated by using field injection test and a 3-D numerical model. The injection rate per well in a model is set to 20, 37.5, 60, and 75 ㎥/day based on the results of field injection test, groundwater levels, and hydraulic conductivities estimated from particle size analysis, and a numerical model using MODFLOW is conducted for 28 cases, which have diverse injection intervals, in order to estimated the changes of groundwater level and water balance after injection. Groundwater level after injection does not show a linear relationship with the injection rate per well, and the cumulative effect of artificial recharge decreases and the timing of maximum water level rise is shortened as the injection interval becomes longer. In four cases of continuous injection with total injection rate of 1,200 ㎥, it is revealed that the recharge effect is analyzed as 36.5~65.3% of the original injection rate. However, it will be more effective if the artificial recharge system combined with underground barrier is introduced for the longer pumping during a long and severe drought. Additionally, it will be possible to build a stable artificial recharge system by an establishment of efficient scenario from recharge to pumping as well as an optimization of recharge facilities.
