Further research needs in environmental carcinogenesis are much to be desired. Currently, the methodology for identification, quantitation, and assay of some environmental carcinogens is available, but there remains a pressing need for additional fundamental knowledge of the carcinogenic process at the molecular level. The best hope for the control of cancer lies in prevention and chemotherapy, and this in turn depends upon the generation of basic information not yet available. The history of medical science reveals that quantum advances in control and prevention of disease have been direct consequences of research applications derived from pools of existing knowledge. It is hoped that the major efforts on specific problems of eivironmental carcinogenesis and substantial support of research to obtain new knowledge will prove to be equally rewarding.

The phase transition and the surface and interface morphologies of $TiSi_2$ formed on atomically clean Si substrates are investigated. 200$\AA$ Ti and 400$\AA$ Si films on Si(ll1) have been codeposited at elevated temperatures (400~$800^{\circ}C$) in ultrahigh vacuum. The phase transition of TiSiL is characterized with using XRD. The results distinguish the formation of the C49 and C54 crystalline titanium silicides. The surface and interface morphologies of titanium silicides have been examined with SEM and TEM. A relatively smootb surface is observed for the C49 phase while a rough surface and interface are observed for C54 phase. The islanding of the C54 phase becomes severe at high temperature ($800^{\circ}C$). Islands of TiSiL have been observed at temperatures above $700^{\circ}C$ but no islands are observed at temperatures below $600^{\circ}C$. For films deposited at $400^{\circ}C$ and 500%. weak XRD peaks corresponding to TiSi were observed and TEM micrographs exhibited small crystalline regions of titanium silicide at the interface.

Extraction was performed to prepare ash-free coal from low rank coal under the temperature of $200-430^{\circ}C$ and initial pressure of 0.1MPa. Three kinds of coal samples with different rank were used and N-methyl-2-pyrrolidinone(NMP, polar), 1-methyl naphthalene(I-MN, non-polar), Light Cycle Oil(LCO, non-polar) were used as solvents. Results showed that higher extraction yield could be obtained with NMP than with 1-MN and LCO, but the ash concentration shows minimun in the case of 1-MN. Three operation modes were compared, that is, idle, agitation and ultrasonic extraction mode. From the results, it was found that the extraction yield and ash concentration were 70.09% and 1.03% under the agitation mode, 80.7% and 0.76% under the ultrasonic operation mode respectively in the case of NMP used at the temperature of $350^{\circ}C$. Similar results were obtained with 1-MN. Effect of ultrasonic on the extraction was estimated as 15-20% increase in the yields and 26% reduction in the ash concentration.

This study evaluated the debate formats adopted in the 2002 Televised Presidential Debates. Presidential Debate Committee have sponsored Televised Presidential Debates during the official campaign period. However, it is not easy task for the Committee to coordinate each party's different interests, such as voters, candidates, and broadcasters. Presidential candidates tries to use the debates as one of their campaign strategies. Broadcasters argued limitations in programming and production process. Regardless of the obstacles, voters expect that the committee makes ideal debate formats. The committee adopted two new forms in the 2002 Debates. The committee allowed direct exchange between candidates as well as advance question preparation by candidate. The committee intends that candidates focus on discussing policy issues. Some studies found that the debate format to allow direct exchange between candidates makes candidates focus on image issues rather than policy issues. The findings of this study are similar to the previous studies'. The new debate formats adopted in 2002 televised presidential debates did not guarantee policy issue oriented discussion. The committee or scholars should evaluate the debate formats used in the presidential debates in order to establish ideal debate formats that gives important information for votes to determine their choice. It is necessary to systematically evaluate the debate formats of former presidential campaign for developing right debate formats.

The main purpose of this study is to present a map for setting a new direction for future North Korean ministry by applying Russell's theory on Christian education as a mission. As is well known, Russell was the first Christian educator who interpreted Christian education from a mission's perspective. According to her, Christian education is not a mere instrument for church to maintain and nurture new believers, but it is part of 'Missio Dei' in a broader sense. In other words, it is a way for everyone to accept Christ's invitation, and join in 'Missio Dei' that restores true humanity through reconciling with God and our neighbors. Based on the understanding of Russell's Christian education theory, the study examined up-to-date North Korean mission's situation, analysis, and limitations in the introduction. In chapter 2, the researcher reviewed approaching methods for understanding North Korea as well as prior studies on North Korean mission and unification within the field of Christian education. In chapter 3, Russell's theory on Christian education for humanization was briefly introduced. In chapter 4, the study attempted to apply Russell's theory in North Korean mission in the following areas: what is the true meaning of restoring humanity for North Koreans (including the refugees) and what are some of the specific ministry ideas; what is a realistic and sustainable humanization ministry; what environment can foster North Koreans to reconcile with both God and their neighbors; what are the ways to explain that such ministry is an invitation from Christ; what should the people involved in the ministry prepare; in what areas can Russell's theory be more effective in North Korean mission compared to other methods in terms of Christian education for humanization. Finally, a conclusion was drawn in chapter 5.

Cleaning effect of RF/DC discharge to clean the surface of vacuum chamber was studied for various discharge conditions. Glow discharge cleaning without baking reduced the outgassing rate to 1/2, which was similar to that after the only baking treatment alone. Glow discharge cleaning treatment with baking improved the cleaning efficiency and then the outgassing rate was remarkably reduced to 1/20. It was found that the ion energy and the ion density were important factors in cleaning the surface. RF discharge cleaning was more effective than BC discharge cleaning.

"We Love Galaxies"는 외부은하를 연구하는 국내 대학원생들로 구성된 학술 교류의 장입니다. 저희는 지난 2014년 7월과 2015년 2월에 개최한 1, 2회 워크샵의 성공을 바탕으로, 2015년 7월 1일부터 3일까지 2박 3일간 충남 서천에서 제 3회 We Love Galaxies 워크샵을 개최하였습니다. 총 19명의 대학원생이 참여한 이번 워크샵에서는 기존의 학회/워크샵과는 달리 대학원생들 간의 적극적인 토의를 유도하기 위해 포스터 발표를 중심으로 운영했습니다. 또한 한국천문연구원에 계신 두 분의 박사 연구원을 초청하여 '천문학자로 살아남기'와 '시뮬레이션 결과와 관측자료의 통계적 분석을 비판적으로 해석하기'라는 주제로 강연을 듣는 시간을 가졌습니다. 본 포스터를 통해 이번 제 3회 We Love Galaxies 워크샵의 성과와 피드백을 소개하고 앞으로의 계획에 대해 소개하고자 합니다.

우리나라는 2009년 OECD DAC 회원국으로 가입하면서 6.25전쟁직후 세계 최빈국으로써 원조를 받는 국가에서 60년만에 국제사회에 원조를 제공하는 공여국으로 성장한 국제사회의 유일무이한 사례이다. 우리 나라의 ODA(Official Development Assistance)는 ICT, 교육 분야 등과 같이 우리나라가 세계적으로 경쟁력을 가지고 있는 분야를 특성화하여 제공하고 있다. 모로코는 2012년까지 9,000여개의 모로코 초중등학교에 ICT를 보급한다는 계획과 ICT 산업 육성을 국가 주요 정책으로 추진하고 있는 있어 금번 프로젝트는 모로코 교사의 ICT 역량 강화를 지원하기 위하여 한국의 ICT 교육시스템을 모로코 초중등 교사에게 제공하는 것이다. 본 프로젝트는 교육쎈터 리모델링, ICT 기자재설치, 교사 커리큘럼 개발, 홈페이지 개발, 정책보고서 발간, 모로코 교사 초청 연수로 구분되어 있으며, 2009년 1월에 시작되어 2010년 11월에 완료된다. 본 프로젝트를 통해 모로코 초중등 교사 23만명중 년간 1,000명을 교육하고, 교육을 받은 교사는 소속지역에서 ICT Master Teacher 역할을 담당하게 된다. 본 프로젝트를 통하여 우리나라는 모로코 교육 선진화에 기여하며, 한국 ICT 기자재를 활용함으로써 한국산 H/W, SW 및 교육컨텐츠의 우수성을 모로코와 인근 국가에 홍보하고, 이를 통해 국내 기업의 북아프리카 진출을 간접 지원하였다. 또한, 본 프로젝트를 통하여 모로코를 비롯하여 2000년도부터 년평균 5.3%의 경제성장을 지속하고 있는 아프리카지역에 한국 ICT제품이 진출할 수 있는 방안으로, 국산 e-러닝 개발툴을 영어, 불어와 아랍어 버젼으로 추가 개발하였으며, 모로코 대학과 합작기업을 설립을 추진하고 있다.

제34회 전국도서관주간(한국도서관협회 주관, 문화관광부 후원)이 4월 12일부터 18일까지 전국의 공공도서관을 비롯하여 각급도서관별로 다양하게 개최되었다. 우리 협회는 도서관에 대한 국민적 관심과 이해도를 높이고자 지난 ‘65년부터 매년 4월 12일에서 18일까지 1주일 간을 ’도서관주간‘으로 정하고 우리협회에 주관하에 전국 각급도서관이 중심이 되어 다양한 도서관문화 행사를 전개해오고 있다. “도서관에 가서보면 길이 보인다”라는 주제로 개최된 이번 도서관주간 행사에는 ’특별강좌. 강연‘ ’모범이용자표창‘ ’작가와의 만남‘ ’도서관 알기‘ ’동화구연‘ ’독서토론‘ 등과 같은 행사뿐만 아니라 경제위기로 인한 고실업사회의 대응책으로 ’창업 및 구직정보 관련코너‘설치 ’자녀 논술 및 독서지도 강좌‘등이 많은 공공도서관에서 실시된 것이 눈에 띄었으며 ’정보찾기대회‘ 컴퓨터강좌’ ‘영어동화들려주기’ 등의 다양한 프로그램도 정보화, 국제화 시대에 맞춰 개최되었다. 이번 행사에서 특히 눈길을 모은 것은 제주도 한수풀도서관에서 ‘창간호 특별전시회’로서, 이는 고병률 사서의 개인소장자료 전시회로 한 사서의 자료보존에 대한 애착을 엿볼 수 있었으며, 대구광역시립동부도서관의 ‘도서관주간 음악회’와 대학도서관에서는 드물게 개최된 계명대학교동산도서관의 초청강연회 ‘미국대학도서관의 업무처리와 정보 서비스: 연사 박혜옥(캘리포니아대학도서관사서)’등도 돋보였다. 이번 도서관주간에 개최된 각급 도서관별 행사 내역을 아래의 표는 정리한 것임.
