Distance learning (DL) has become a major issue in the educational field with the spread of COVID-19. In order to enhance the satisfaction of DL learners, efforts to cultivate learners' competencies, as well as investment to build IT infrastructure, and activities to support high-quality content provision should be comprehensively considered. Based on a survey of 221 college students, this study verified that digital literacy (knowledge, skill, and mind) and information systems success factors (system, information, and service quality) all positively affect DL satisfaction, in turn, which positively influences on DL continuance. This study is meaningful in that it comprehensively considered learner's ability and IT infrastructure and analyzed the effect on the satisfaction and intention of continuous use of DL. In the future, it is necessary to expand the target of not only college students but also elementary and secondary students and instructors, and to further consider interaction, which is a major factor in the distance learning process.
In this paper, a case of deep learning artificial neural network education was studied for artificial intelligence literacy education for preservice teachers and incumbent teachers. In addition, through the proposed educational case, we tried to explore the contents of artificial neural network principle education that elementary, middle and high school students can experience. To this end, first, an example of training on the principle of operation of an artificial neural network that recognizes two types of images is presented. And as an artificial neural network extension application education case, an artificial neural network education case for recognizing three types of images was presented. The number of output layers was changed according to the number of images to be recognized by the artificial neural network, and the cases implemented in a spreadsheet were divided and explained. In addition, in order to experience the operation results of the artificial neural network, we presented the educational contents to directly write the learning data necessary for the artificial neural network of the supervised learning method. In this paper, the implementation of the artificial neural network and the recognition test results are visually presented using a spreadsheet.
The 'education panic' is one of the most phenomenal social issue in the current Korean society. The explanations of it until now, however, are rather superficial in a way that they only describe apparent facts and its seriousness, rendering further examination of the psychological motivation of parents who are the protagonist of education panic necessary. With 548 elementary, middle, and highschool students and their parents, the present study has investigated the impact of parents' past experience of 'han', regret, and learning effect regarding education on their parenting style as well as on their children's academic experience. The result revealed that parents' learning effect was related with more affective/autonomous parenting style and reasonable expectation for their children's educational career. On the contrary, parents' 'han' and regret indicated relationship with hostile and controlling parenting style and also with blind intention toward their children's educational career. The negative emotions also seemed to increase their children's academic stress, and lower academic self-efficacy. Such results suggest that the extraordinary education panic in Korea is more than a simple quantitative matter of intensity. The psychological basis and motivation of the people included, a much more quantitative information, should be taken into account.

At the beginning of the discussion of AI education in K-12 education, the study was conducted to develop and apply an AI education program based on Design Thinking and analyze the effects of the AI education programs. In the AI education program, students explored and defined the AI problems they were interested in, gathered the necessary data to build an AI model, and then developed a project using scratch. In order to analyze the effectiveness of the AI education program, the change of learner's perception of the value of AI and the change of AI efficacy were analyzed. The overall perception of the AI project was also analyzed. As a result, AI efficacy was significantly increased through the experience of carrying out the project according to the Design Thinking process. In addition, the efficacy of solving problems with AI was influenced by the level of use of programming languages. The learner's overall perception of the AI project was positive, and the perceptions of each stage of the AI project (AI problem understanding and problem exploration, practice, problem definition, problem solving idea implementation, evaluation and presentation) was also positive. This positive perception was higher among students with high level of programming language use. Based on these results, the implications for AI education were suggested.
Science teachers in elementary schools and secondary schools recognize the necessity of character education, feeling difficulties such as evaluation methods, mood of competition, extra work and lack of time according to previous research, which were based on answers from science teachers not experiencing character education. As a rare study of teacher experiencing, previous researches didn't fully address the problems and suggestions about adopting character education in science classrooms. This study is about teacher practice of character education on site with the CoProC (Collaborative Problem-Solving for Character Competence) program in science classes with which other previous studies shed new light. Five teachers, adapting the CoProC program in their science classes, participated in two interviews, sharing their student achievement in character education. Results showed that student achievement was high when their teacher had experienced the training program, development, and classes of CoProC rather than their normal teaching career. Teacher recognition on the aims of CoProC influenced difficulties, evaluation, and feedback.

The ability to creatively pursue new knowledge and perspectives across various disciplines has established itself as a basic literacy for living in the 21st-century convergence era. With the development of various creative education programs, assessment tools that can objectively and systematically evaluate learners' academic achievement are also required. Therefore, this paper proposed the self assessment, peer assessment, creativity assessment, and reflection tool based on the hyper blended practical model as assessment tools for creative convergence education programs for elementary and secondary school students. The developed assessment tools attempted to develop more completed evaluation methods by modifying two items and deleting four items through validity tests. In addition, the evaluation tool was applied to 596 elementary and secondary school students nationwide, and the application results were analyzed through one-way ANOVA and Wordcloud system. As a result of the analysis, it was found that the self assessment and the reflection tool need to develop questions according to the grade group. In addition, we proposed to use these assessment tools in blended classes or various educational activities in the changing classroom environment. We hope that this paper provides implications for developing evaluation systems and tools for creative convergence education.

Curriculum revision is a very important process for improving students' learning achievement and abilities, responding to social needs, strengthening equality and inclusiveness, strengthening teachers' professionalism, strengthening national competitiveness, and responding to the era of globalization, and for continuous development and innovation. Through this, we can provide better educational opportunities and environments for future generations. The 2022 revised curriculum is a curriculum that reflects the knowledge and skills students need in modern society and enables them to respond to changes in industry and society. The purpose of this study is to present the direction of career education by analyzing the career education shown in the 2022 revised curriculum. If we analyze only the contents related to career education in the 2022 revised curriculum that directly mention career and occupation, the following contents are found. First, in the curriculum for future response, contents related to career education appear in the strengthening of basic digital knowledge. Second, in the field of autonomous innovation support tasks at school sites, the organization of the free semester system and improvement plans are presented among the details of the improvement of flexibility in the operation of the elementary and secondary school curriculum. Third, in the area of strengthening learner-customized education, the core of career education is strengthening career-linked education between elementary, middle and high schools. Career education is mentioned in the area of the detail itself. As such, it is no exaggeration to say that the core content of the 2022 revised curriculum is career education. The direction and contents of career education are faithfully reflected in the 2022 revised curriculum.
Objectives: This study was conducted to identify the awareness and practice of reducing sugar in school meals and the status of nutrition education regarding sugar reduction. Methods: An online survey was conducted on 101 nutrition teachers (dietitians) working at elementary, middle, and high schools in Daegu. Results: School nutrition teachers in Daegu recognized the need for efforts to reduce the sugar intake in the Korean diet, and it was found that elementary nutrition teachers were more aware of the implementation of the sugar reduction policy at the national level than middle and high school nutrition teachers (P = 0.002). Among the policies to reduce sugar intake at the national level, there was a high need for the promotion of self-control and limiting the sales of food with high sugar content in schools and their vicinity. The degree of practice for reducing sugar in school meals was found to be higher in the preparation, purchase, and cooking stage compared to the serving stage (P < 0.05). There was a high need for changing the preferences of the subjects for a sweet taste as a means of reducing the sugar in school meals. Thirty-six percent of nutrition teachers conducted sugar reduction education, and sending out school newsletters was the highest type of nutrition education at 80.6%. Conclusions: To effectively promote reduced sugar intake in school meals, it is necessary to change the preference of the subjects for sweetness and to conduct continuous education that can improve the awareness of people for reducing their sugar intake. For this, it is necessary to set aside time for nutrition education and to prepare an institutional framework for providing this education.

It is necessary to look at the essence of STEAM education from the viewpoint of the teacher who is the subject of education execution. We carry out questionnaires and telephone interviews for the purpose, definition, change, etc. of STEAM education from eight elementary, middle, and high teachers who are rich in policy and field application experience. As a result of the analysis, the purpose of the STEAM education that the specialists mentioned includes the active participation of the students. Most experts pointed out that the definition of STEAM education is ambiguous. So, it is necessary to express a clear goal of STEAM education. The category and level meaning "fields" from "a convergence of two or more fields" are not indicative definitions, but can be different depending on the situation, considering the context of activities and the level of students. The perception of the experts on framework may be a guide for STEAM education and stumbling block. It is necessary for "Context" to shift away from the emphasis on the real life connection and to the emphasis on the interest of the student and the guidance of the class. "Creative design" must be based on trial and error in the process of solving problems. "Emotional touch" needs to correct elements that cannot be observed, evaluated, and applied to lessons that are elements of emotional experience. As for the expansion of STEAM education, most expert teachers have recognized that STEAM education is becoming increasingly stable and that policy change has continued to slow the pace of stabilization.

Even though various geological attractions are distributed domestically, the geological attractions are rarely utilized as field course site. The purpose of this study is to make Seonangbawi area as the field course site after geological investigations are carried out in detail. Seonangbawi is located about 1km southeast from Songjiho beach in Gangwon-do. Seonangbawi area is simply composed of Cretaceous Seokcho granite with the overlay of Quaternary alluvium. Geological field course in the Seonangbawi area will be useful to the student and citizen for developing the knowledge of geological phenomena, such as the formation of granite and minerals, and weathering process. In addition, the student and citizen can develop the knowledge of the geological structures, such as joint (N50E/80NW, N40W/84SW), fault (N42W/83SW), foliation (N32E/54SE), and dyke (N35E/40SE, N26W/63SW), and geographical features, such as tor, taforni, groove, and gnamma in the field. Accordingly, the Seonangbawi area is the best place to learn various geological and geographical phenomena and to discuss the origin of Seonangbawi with limited space.
