This paper reviews how electronic media technologies involve and produce time-space dimensions in geometrical spaces, focusing on four theoretical perspectives: van Dijk's dual structure of networks as scale extension and reduction; Latour's actor-networks as fluid and hybrid networks; Virilio's dromospherical time as global media vectors; and Castells' timeless time as non-sequential flows. In these four theoretical perspectives, we can see that electronic media technologies involve different and multiple time-space dimensions in geometrical media spaces: from the two-dimensional spaces (surfaces) of concentric circles, through the one-dimensional spaces (lines) of actor-networks to the zero-dimensional spaces (points) of dromospherical time and finally to the multi-dimensional spaces (hypertexts) of timeless time. The paper concludes by suggesting that we need to explain electronic media spaces not only in terms of geometrical media spaces but also in terms of geographical media spaces in order to understand the ways in which electronic media spaces are dis/embedded in geographical spaces.

This study begins on the basis of Jacques Lacan's article 『Logical Time and Assertions of Preemptive Certainty: A New Sophism』 published in the reissue of 『Art Note Les Cahiers d'Art』 in March 1945. In this paper, a guard presents an esoteric problem to three prisoners. If the problem is solved, the prisoner is released. A condition is given to solve a problem. Conversation between prisoners is prohibited, and the disc behind them cannot be seen. In this time and space, prisoners place themselves in logical time through the 'time of understanding' in order to become the chosen ones. We always live in logical time. We will argue the point at which Lacan destroys logical time in psychoanalysis. Time in Lacanian psychoanalysis transcends time divisions of the past, present, and future. Our time is always the past in the present. In Lacanian psychoanalysis, logical time is the time in the Other. The transcendence of the Lacanian psychoanalysis concept of time shows the deviation of logical time. In this text, We try to prove how Lacan contrasts psychoanalysis and the problem of time with time in the other. First, we will examine how logical time and impulse are related in psychoanalysis. Second, the postmortemity of the signifient (signifier) will be discussed. Third, Lacan psychoanalysis will present the transcendence of time. In conclusion, We will present the view that the time of Lacan psychoanalysis is flowing backwards. In Lacanian psychoanalysis, we try to prove that logical time is in the territory of the Other and is infinite time.

The affection-image is the close-up of the face with real connections in space-time, or with virtual conjunction, outside spatio-temporal co-ordinates. The close-up can carry its own space-time in background. with deframing and fragmentation, Space itself has left behind its own space-time connection and become any-space-whatever that is the affection-image. The elements of any-space-whatever are the shadows, lyrical abstraction, the colors, the disconnected parts, the empty space. Deleuze examines any-space-whatever through the close ups, fragmentation of space and de-framing in Dreyer and Bresson's cinema.

This paper aims to clarify Heidegger's concept of 'play(Spiel)'. Through Heidegger's ideas of play, we are going to present that the concept of play, as frequently argued, not only stay with playful side associated with human mental activity but also like with further perspectives. In other words, we will show the ontological meaning of the Heidegger' concept of play. First, in Heidegger's early thinking, the play appears in 'play of life' or 'play of transcendence'. In contrast, in his later thinking, the play appears in 'play-space', 'Time-play-space', 'mirror-play', 'play of silent', etc. Thus, we have tried to clarify the Heidegger's concept of play that divided as the starting point of his turn(Kehre).

We proposed the RPA (Recursive Partition Averaging) method in order to improve the storage requirement and classification rate of the Memory Based Reasoning. This algorithm recursively partitions the pattern space until each hyperrectangle contains only those patterns of the same class, then it computes the average values of patterns in each hyperrectangle to extract a representative. Also we have used the mutual information between the features and classes as weights for features to improve the classification performance. The proposed algorithm used 30~90% of memory space that is needed in the k-NN (k-Nearest Neighbors) classifier, and showed a comparable classification performance to the k-NN. Also, by reducing the number of stored patterns, it showed an excellent result in terms of classification time when we compare it to the k-NN.

According to "Jinjak-yigwe(進爵儀軌)", a special banquet was held at Yungyungdang(演慶堂, a kind of royal theatre) to celebrate the 40th birthday of Queen Soonwon(純元王后) in 1828. This banquet is famous for the presentation of nineteen new Jungjae(呈才) repertoires that the Crown Prince Hyomyung(孝明) created. In order to explore the theoretical basis for the reproduction and presentation of Yungyungdang(演慶堂) Jinjak(進爵, a type of royal banquets), in this article, the imagination and experience of the presentation of Yungyungdang Jinjak are pursued, while focussing on audience's reception. In Yungyungdang Jinjak, King Soonjo(純祖), Queen Soonwon and the prince were the special audience; they participated in the procedure of Ye(禮, etiquette of ceremony) and also were considered as the characters of certain repertoire of Jungjae. Hyomyung arranged the spectacles from the myths of Taoist gods and immortal hermits, as well as historic episodes of the past emperors' elegant tastes of music. These mythic and historic images lead the audience toward the imagination and experience on the transcendental world. Hyomyung, managing the administration as the representative of King Soonjo, tried to show absolute royal authority through the splendid performances of Yungyungdang Jinjak, so as to overcome the politicaly difficult situation. He set up the sacred world for his father King Soonjo, distinct from the secular ordinary world, and emphasized his position as the bridge between the two sides. He expressed his filial duty through the devotion of performing arts to display absolute royal authority.
