초등양호교사 보건교육실태에 관(關)한 조사연구 (A Study on the Actual Conditions of Health Education in Elementary Nurses Teachers)

  • The purpose of this study was to survey the current status of informal health education which elementary school nurses have performed in these days. The questionaire survey in this study was obtained from 154 (74.0%) out of 208 elementary school nurses in Kyungbuk province. This study is about their health educational conditions, contents, attitudes. The results are summarized as follows. 1. General characteristics of respondents 1) As for age distribution, thirties with 56.5% is larger than any other group 2) As for school size, below 18 classes with 48.1% is the highest 3) As for the place in which the work, country side (below county) with 65.7% is the highest 4) 89.6% of total respondents have graduated from nurse college 5) Their total career below 10 years is 68.2% 6) Their clinical career below one year is 35.7% 2. Actual conditions of health education 1) The rate of respondents who execute health education is 75.3% out of 154 respondents 2) Health education does not execute because the task of school nurses is busy. This percentage is 55.3% 3) Respondents who draw up a yearly health education plan are 84.5% 4) Weekly health education classes with 1~2 times are 79.3% and teaching time with 89.7% is physical class. 5) 75.0% of total respondents don't use the textbook in health education and the reason is that the contents of nextbook are poor. 6) In health education, teaching aids with VTR, slide flims, charts etc. are 80.2% 7) 82.8% of total respondents don't evaluate the result of teaching 3. Analysis of contents of health education and attitudes of school nurses. 1) The rate of private sanitation for keeping health with 64.7% is high among the contents 2) 90.9% of total respondents demand health education and 92.9% of then demand its independence of a subject. 3) The degrees of school principals' help and understanding are 90.3%, and those of teachers are 89.6% 4) The degrees of school nurses' confidence are high at 35.1% 5) Regular health education classes a week of a school nurse with 3~4 times are 40.9% 6) The greatest difficulty in health education with 70.1% is lack of teaching aids.

창의적 학교환경에 대한 인식 척도의 타당성 검증 및 집단 차이 연구 (A Validation Study of the Creative School Environment Perceptions Scale and A Study of Group Differences)

  • 본 연구는 Mayfield와 Mayfield(2010)의 창의적 환경에 대한 인식척도를 학교환경에 맞게 수정하여 요인분석을 통해 타당성을 검증한 연구이다. 또한 이 연구는 집단별 차이분석을 통해 창의적 학교환경에 대한 학생들의 인식에 영향을 주는 요인들을 살펴본 연구이다. 연구대상은 경기지역 초등학생 5~6학년 203명이었다. 요인분석 결과 척도는 창의성을 지지하는 환경요인, 일 특성 요인, 창의성을 저해하는 방해 요인으로 구성되어 있었다. 또한 기존 척도와의 상관분석을 통해 수렴타당성을 검증하였는데 척도가 타당한 것으로 나타났다. 독립표본 t 검증 결과 인식에 집단차이가 있는 것으로 나타났는데 6학년이 5학년보다 학교환경이 창의성을 더 방해하고 있다고 응답했다. 또한 창의적 아이디어를 잘 만들어 내는 행동특성을 보이는 학생의 경우는 학교환경이 창의성을 지지하는 것으로 인식하고 있었고, 부정적인 아이디어 생성행동을 보이는 학생의 경우는 학교환경이 창의성을 저해하고 있는 것으로 인식하고 있었다. 이처럼 창의적 학교 환경에 대한 학생들의 인식은 학년과 창의적 아이디어 생성행동과 관련이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 그러므로 교사는 학년별 그리고 창의적 아이디어 생성행동별 집단차이를 고려하여 창의적 학교환경에 대한 학생들의 인식을 변화시킬 필요가 있다.

학습부진아의 청각정보처리와 단기기억력 향상을 위한 음악의 치료적·교육적 접근 (Effect of Therapeutic and Educational strategies using music on improvement of auditory information processing and short-term memory skills for children with underachievement)

  • 음악 활동에 참여하기 위해서는 기본적인 인지기능을 필요로 하는데, 이는 학습에 필요한 기능과도 공통점을 가진다. 음악을 듣고 기억하는 데에 복합적인 의식 활동이 요구되며, 일련의 소리 자극들이 음악으로서 의미를 갖고 기억되기 위해서는 주어진 소리 정보에 내재해 있는 특징들을 지각하고 처리할 수 있는 기능이 요구된다. 여러 선행 연구에서는 음악활동을 통해서 기본적인 학습 기능이 강화될 수 있다는 결과를 제시하였다. 본 연구는 학습부진 아동들이 청각정보처리기술과 단기기억력 강화를 중심으로 구성된 음악치료 세션에 참여하였을 때 음악 활동과 학습에 필요한 인지기능에 향상이 있는지를 보고자 하는 데에 그 목적이 있다. 본 연구에서는 음악 활동 내에서 다루어지는 인지기능을 사정할 수 있는 척도를 개발하여 학습기술 증진을 위한 음악치료 프로그램을 실행 전 후에 각각 실시하였다. 음악인지기술척도(Music Cognitive Skills Test)는 청각 지각인지력과 단기기억력 측정을 중심으로 모두 5 항목으로 구성되어 있는데, 1) 리듬 모방력, 2) 선율 모방력, 3) 음고 구별력, 4) 동화음 구별력, 5) 음보존력으로 구성되어 있다. 본 연구에는 기초학력기능검사 결과를 중심으로 담임교사가 추천한 18명의 초등학교 4, 5, 6학년 학생들이 참여하였으며, 4 개월간 주 2회씩 음악치료 프로그램이 투입되었다. 연구 결과, 리듬 모방력과 선율 모방력은 사후 검사에서 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 있었다. 그 외에 음고 구별력, 동화음 구별력, 그리고 음보존력에서는 사후검사에서 증가된 결과를 보여주었다. 결과와 함께 본 연구에서는 참여자들이 수행한 시험을 통해서 나타낸 공통점을 분석한 결과 선율모방 보다 리듬모방에서 더 높은 결과를 보여주었다. 이는 리듬이 시간적인 개념만을 다루지만, 선율은 이외에 공간적인 개념이 추가된 것이기 때문에 더 난이도가 높은 작업이라고 분석될 수 있다. 선율 모방에서는 공통적으로 특정 음역에서 어려움을 보였는데, 4도 이상의 음역이 제시되었을 때와 2도의 음역을 가지고 있는 경우는 동일한 음으로 지각되는 경우가 많았다. 이러한 연구결과는 제시된 청각적 정보를 의미있는 단위로 구분하고 이를 이해하고, 기억하여 재생산해내는 작업은 모방은 물론, 음의 구별과 보존에도 필요한 기술임으로, 체계적으로 구성된 음악활동은 이러한 인지기술들을 강화시켜 줄 수 있는 전략으로 활용될 수 있다는 점을 시사한다.

초등교사의 구강보건교육 경험에 따른 구강보건 인지 및 태도 (The Impact of the Oral-Health Education Experiences of Elementary School Teachers on Their Oral-Health Awareness and Attitude)

  • The purpose of this study was 10 examine whether or not the dental- health education experiences of elementary school teachers have any influence on their oral-health awareness and attitude. The subjects in this study were 414 selected teachers from Seoul and North Cholla province. The instrument used by Lee Heung-su was modified into self- reporting questionnaire, and the schools where the subjects were working were visited to conduct a survey for 28 days from September 15 to October 13, 2000. For data analysis, SPSS was employed, and chi-squre, t-test and ANOVA were implemented. The findings of this study could be listed as below: 1. 184(44.4%) out of the techers investigated had ever been educated in dental health, and 230 teachers(55.6%) hadn't. 47% replied they hadn't received oral-health education for the lack of education opportunities. 2. In regard to dental-health awareness and attitude. the presence or absence of dental-health education experiences didn't make any difference to their daily toothbrushing frequency(p>0.05). The use of fluorine was significantly different between the groups(p<0.01), as 42.9% of the teachers with dental-health education experiences and 63.9% of the others with no such a experience didn't use that, 45.7% of the former group and 29.1 % of the latter accurately knew how to brush teeth, and the difference between the two was significant (p<0.01). 3. Concerning student-related dental-health awareness and attitude, the dental-health education experiences make 45.7% of the educated group and 31.7% of the uneducated group agreed to the strong need for oral examination, and the gap between the two was significant(p<0.01). 90.8% of the former group gave counsel to students on dental health, and 77.2% of the latter didn't. The gap between the two was significant as well (p<0.01). 77.2% of the educated group and 41.3% of the uneducated group offered frequent dental-health education, and the difference between the two was significant (p<0.01). 4. Their awareness of the fluorine-based toothbrushing project differed significantly by region(p<0.05), as the teachers from North Cholla province recognized it better than those from Seoul. The female teachers provided more education regarding that project, and those who were older or had more teaching experiences were more aggressive in instructing that project(p<0.01). And the married teachers took more forward attitude than the unmarried (p<0.01). By school location, the teachers from Seoul showed more active attitude than those from North Cholla province(p<0.01), and the gap between the two was significant. As to cooperation, those who were older or had more teaching experience were more cooperative, and the married teachers joined forces better than the unmarried. The gap was significant (p<0.01). 5. Concerning the awareness and attitude of the fluorine-based toothbrushing project, the educated teachers took more aggressive attitude, and the difference between the two was significant(p<0.01). The above-mentioned findings suggested that the dental-health awareness and attitude of the elementary school teachers were under a lot of influence of their oral-health education experiences, and there is a need to develop and carry out education programs for teacher.

초등학생의 보건관리 만족도와 태도에 관한 연구 - 양호교사 유무를 중심으로 - (A Study on the Health Care Satisfaction and Attitude of Elementary School Students - by the presence or absence of nurse teacher -)

  • The purpose of this study was to serve as a basis for school health care of better quality, by making a comparative analysis of the health care satisfaction and attitude of elementary school students in consideration of their general characteristics and the presence or absence of nurse teacher. The subjects in this study were 919 selected six graders in 16 elementary schools in the city of Tongduchun, Koyang and Euijungbu, Yangju-kun and Yeunchun-kun. A survey was conducted with questionnaire designed for measurement of health care satisfaction and attitude. As a result of analyzing the data collected from June 1 through 15, 2000, the conclusions were as follows. 1) As for the general characteristics of the students investigated, the subjects included 513 boys(55.8%) and 406 girls(44.2%). The schools where 390(42.4%) students attended were located in municipal area, and the schools where 529(57.6%) students attended were located in kun area. 608(66.2%) students had a nurse teacher at their schools, while 311(33.8%) students had no nurse teacher. 498(54.2%) had an experience to use the health room this year, but 421(45.8%) had no such an experience. Their mean school life satisfaction was scored $3.42{\pm}.71$, above the average. And their health condition was rated $3.81{\pm}.87$, which implied they tended to be in good health. 2) The mean satisfaction at the health room operation was scored $3.33{\pm}.71$, above the medium level. What they were most satisfied with($4.02{\pm}1.08$) was, among the health room facilities, that there were beds. But they expressed the least satisfaction($2.83{\pm}1.17$) at the location of health room. The presence or absence of nurse teacher made a significant difference to their satisfactionat health room operation, because the students in schools with nurse teacher showed greater satisfaction($3.42{\pm}.72$) than the others in schools with no nurse teacher did($3.15{\pm}.66$). 3) Concerning their attitude to use the health room in case of disease or accident occurrence, a lot of students in schools with a nurse teacher, who had ever suffered from indigestion, headache or traumatic injury, used the health room. In schools with no nurse teacher, there was a tendency to talk to their class teachers(p<.001). The recognition of the necessity for health counseling was generally on a medium level. The counselor whom they wanted to discuss health problem with was family or friend in the largest cases. Few students discussed with class teachers in case there was a nurse teacher in school. Instead, some of them discussed with friend, family or nurse teacher, and there was a significant difference between them(p<.001). 4) The mean satisfaction at health, sanitation and environmental management was rated $3.20{\pm}.90$, above the average. The classroom lighting gave them the best satisfaction with $3.67{\pm}1.07$, but the satisfaction at toilet cleanness and disinfection was not good with $2.83{\pm}1.19$. By the presence or absence of nurse teacher, those who had a nurse teacher expressed better satisfaction at water supply facilities including hot water than the others who had no nurse teacher did(p<.001). But no significant difference was observed in the other items. 5) The health education satisfaction was rated $3.19{\pm}.99$, which was on a medium level. By item, the mean satisfaction level was $3.36{\pm}1.19$ at nurse teacher's explanation about treatment, $3.13{\pm}1.15$ at the frequency of health education, and $3.08{\pm}1.16$ at the explanation on the cause of disease. By the presence or absence of nurse teacher, the students with nurse teacher showed significantly better satisfaction at every factor0(p<.001). 6) Regarding health education attitude, their recognition of the need for school health education was scored $3.89{\pm}.96$. Those who had a nurse teacher felt it more necessary($3.96{\pm}.92$), yet the others who had no nurse teacher felt its necessity a little less($3.74{\pm}1.01$). The most preferred thing for them to learn in health education was first aid, followed by sex education, obesity prevention, safety accident prevention in school and outdoors, smoking-related health, good use of leisure time, and environmental pollution cause in the order named. According to the presence or absence of nurse teacher, there was a significant difference in sex education(p<.01), but no significant disparities were found in the other factors. The most preferred person who would offer health education was a lecturer from the outside(45.8%) and nurse teacher(45.4%). Their preference for class teacher as a person in charge of health education was just 8.8%. But the presence or absence of nurse teacher didn't produce any differences to their preference for a person in charge of health education.

생태 지위적 접근을 통한 5학년의 광합성 개념 분석 (An Approach of Ecological Niche to Analysis of Recognition of 5th Grade Elementary students for Conception of Photosynthesis)

  • 학습자의 개념 형성 요인을 심층적으로 분석하는 개념 생태 관련 연구들이 많이 진행되어 오고 있다. 학습자의 인지 구조를 생태계로 비유한다면, 인지 구조 속에 존재하는 개념은 생태계의 종으로 비유할 수 있다. 따라서 생태계 내 종이 생태 지위를 가지듯이, 학습자의 개념 생태 내 개념도 생태 지위를 가질 수 있다. 이 연구는 개념의 다양성, 개념의 관련성과 빈도율 변화, 개념 간 경쟁관계로 구성된 생태 지위적 접근을 통하여, 광합성 학습 전 후에 5학년들이 인식하는 광합성 개념 간 관계를 분석하였다. 설문지는 광합성 장소, 광합성 생성물질, 광합성 필요물질, 광합성 환경요인 네 영역으로 구성되어 있으며, 각 영역별로 알고 있는 개념과 그 개념의 관련성 정도를 점수(1~30 점)로 기입하도록 제작되었다. 5개 도시 소재 11개 초등학교의 5학년 11학급 총 310명의 학생들을 대상으로 설문하여 분석하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 학생들은 광합성에 '빛'과 '물'을 공통적으로 많이 인식하면서 다양한 개념들을 지니고 있었다. 둘째, 학습 후에도 학생들은 '뿌리', '바람' 등과 같은 오개념이 여전히 나타나고 있었으며, 광합성 영역별로 오개념과 과학 개념이 공존하고 있었다. 셋째, 학습을 통하여 '빛'에 대한 학생들의 인식이 높아지고 있지만, 광합성 영역에 따른 적절한 개념을 인식하지 못하고 있기 때문에 교사들의 지속적이면서 효율적인 교수 전략이 필요하다. 넷째, 학생들이 인식하는 개념들은 개념 생태내에서 위상을 갖고 복잡하게 얽혀져 있는 것으로 보아 생태 지위를 갖고 있는 것으로 판단된다.
