Flexible Disjoint Multipath Routing Protocol Using Local Decision in Wireless Sensor Networks (무선 센서 네트워크에서 지역 결정을 통한 유연한 분리형 다중경로 라우팅 프로토콜)

  • Multipath routing is one of challenging issues for improving the reliability of end-to-end data delivery in wireless sensor networks. Recently, a disjointedness and management of path have been studying to enhance the robustness and efficiency of the multipath routing. However, previous multipath routing protocols exploit the disjointed multipath construction method that is not to consider the wireless communication environment. In addition, if a path failures is occurred due to the node or link failures in the irregular network environment, they maintain the multipath through the simple method that to construct a new extra path. Even some of them have no a method. In order to cope with the insufficiency of path management, a hole detouring scheme, to bypass the failures area and construct the new paths, was proposed. However, it also has the problem that requires a heavy cost and a delivery suspension to the some or all paths in the hole detouring process due to the centralized and inflexible path management. Due to these limitations and problems, the previous protocols may lead to the degradation of data delivery reliability and the long delay of emergency data delivery. Thus, we propose a flexible disjoint multipath routing protocol which constructs the radio disjoint multipath by considering irregular and constrained wireless sensor networks. It also exploits a localized management based on the path priority in order to efficiently maintain the flexible disjoint multipath. We perform the simulation to evaluate the performance of the proposed method.

Numerical Model Updating Based on Univariate Search Method for High Speed Railway Bridges (단변분 탐색법에 기초한 고속철도교량의 수치해석 모델 개선)

  • Numerical model became one of most important tools for identifying the state of an existing structure in accordance with development of numerical analysis techniques. A numerical model should be updated based on the measured responses from the existing structure to accurately use the model for identifying the state of the bridge and executing numerical experiments. In this study, a new model updating method based on repetition method without a differential function is introduced and applicability for high speed railway bridge is verified with dynamic stability analysis. A fine measurement based on measurement points roaming method was executed with an wireless measurement system for precise dynamic characteristic analysis. The natural frequencies and mode shapes were estimated by correlation analysis and a mode decomposition technique. An initial numerical model was constructed based on design drawings and the model have been updated in accordance with the introduced model updating method. The results from numerical experiment and field test have been compared for verifying the applicability of the model updating method. And the dynamic stability analysis has been executed to verify the usability of the updated numerical model and the model updating method. It seems that the model updating method can be used for various bridges after evaluation of applicability for other type bridges in further studies.

  • Winterkill can be defined as any injury including freeze stress kill, winter desiccation, and low temperature disease to turfgrass plants that occurs during the winter period. The major damages from winterkill were low temperature kill, crown hydration, and winter desiccation. Low temperature kill is caused by air and soil temperature. Soil temperature affect more severe to turfgrass than air temperature because low soil temperature cause fetal damage to turfgrass crown. Crown hydration is a form of winter injury in which intercellular water within the plant freezes and causes physical injury to the cell membrane and wall. This is eventually resulted in dehydration of cell. Winter desiccation is the death of leaves or whole plants due to drought during the winter period. To reduce winterkill damage, cultivar selection is very important. If changing cultivar is not allowed, cold temperature hardiness needs to be increased by providing nutrients especially phosphorus and potassium in the late fall. Turf cover is effective way to reduce winterkill damage. Remaining snow is positive process to reduce winterkill damage by insulating soil temperature. The previous researches reported many materials as turf cover such as straw, polypropylene, polyester, and wood mat. Aeration and topdressing is one of the process against winterkill. Both methods are mainly conducted to reduce thickness of thatch layer. In recent, relatively new materials called black or winter topdressing sand are used to protect soil temperature from low air temperature and thaw ice crystal that may remain in soil.

Assessment of the Impact Factor and the Stress Histogram of Railway Bridges in Korea (국내 강철도 교량의 충격계수 및 응력빈도분포의 평가)

  • The number of railway bridges in Korea reaches to about 3,000. Among them, the ratio of steel bridges is about 47%. Most of the long span railway bridges take the truss type, its number is 15 in Korea. These bridges have more than 30 years service life, it is expected that the damages of cracks and corrosion is going. Therefore, the estimation of fatigue life with random stress is considered as significant subject in maintenance. In this paper, the random stress was measured in bridges and counted the stress cycles using the rainflow counting method So, the stress range frequencies and their equivalent stress are obtained and the amplification factor for the span length, bridge types and traveling speed is assessed by the dynamic testing. From the results, the stress range of the stringer and the lower chord is higher than the other members and the characteristics of the stress histogram is varied to the loading system and the amount of the passing through trains. And the impact effects are depended on the traveling speed as well as the span length.

  • Built in urban ares tunnels is necessary to accurately grasp not only the above-ground environment of the tunnel but also the below-ground environment of the tunnel for design and construct. However, fully coupled analysis of stress and flow is very difficult due to the limited function of the tunnel numerical analysis program and difficulty in using program. This can lead to excessive design that increases the construction cost or occur problems that can lead to accidents during construction. In particular, in the case of an urban tunnel has a low layer soil section above the tunnel and the groundwater level exists in the upper layer of the tunnel. Therefore, a reduction in the groundwater level during underground construction may increase the effective stress of the upper layer and cause the ground to subsidence. So It is necessary to design after accurately evaluating the change in the groundwater level. In this study, the tunnel's behavioral characteristics were analyzed through fully coupled analysis of stress and flow according to the drainage type for an urban underground tunnel.

  • 수자원 개발과 계획 및 최적의 관리를 위해서는 댐지점의 수자원부존량 평가가 선행되어야 하며, 이를 위해서는 장기간의 유출량(저수지 유입량) 자료계열의 획득이 필요하다. 장기유출은 저수지의 저수용량결정, 저수지관개용수의 이용, 갈수기의 이수계획수립, 하천유지용수량결정 등에 이용되며, 장기 수자원 계획을 수립하기 위해서는 장기유출량의 정확한 추정이 매우 중요한 사항이다. 특히 동절기에 보다 정확한 유출해석을 하기 위해서는 융설에 관한 사항을 고려가 필수적이다. 그러나 국내에서는 아직 융설에 관한 실험이나 수치모형에 대한 연구가 거의 없는 실정이며 모형의 매개변수 추정 및 검증을 위한 융설 자료를 측정하기에는 매우 어려운 점이 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 비교적 지역적 영향을 적게 받는 개념적 융설모형과 유출모형을 결합하여 안동댐 유역에 적용하였다. 융설을 고려한 경우 융설 고려전보다 3월과 4월 사이의 유출 모의 결과가 크게 개선된 것으로 나타났다. 향후 수자원 계획 수립시 겨울철의 적설과 융설을 고려한 유출분석을 적용한다면 기후변화에 따른 수자원 확보의 불확실성이 크게 줄어들 것으로 기대한다.

  • 그리드 컴퓨팅 환경에서 세계의 많은 과학기술연구자들은 gLite 미들웨어 기반의 어플리케이션을 이용하고 있고 미들웨어에서 데이터를 관리, 분석하기 위해 메타데이터 카탈로그 기술인 AMGA 서비스를 이용하고 있다. 사용자들은 자신의 메타데이터와 데이터 파일을 디렉토리별로 접근하기 위해 유닉스 기반의 명령어와 AMGA 명령어만를 사용하여야 하는 불편함이 있었다. 이를 보완하기 위해 RCP 기반의 AMGA 그래픽 사용자 인터페이스를 2년 전부터 제공해 왔고, 보다 사용자에게 친숙하고 접근성이 용이한 웹 인터페이스를 설계하였다. 본 논문은 AMGA 서비스의 직관적이고 범용적인 엑세스를 위한 웹 그래픽 사용자 인터페이스를 기존의 RCP 모델의 컴포넌트 재사용으로 개발 기간의 단축과 유지보수의 용이성을 고려한 AMGA 웹 인터페스 구현 설계에 대해서 논한다.

An ad hoc Network Clustering Scheme with Consideration of Host Mobility and Connection Degree (이동성과 차수를 고려한 Ad hoc 네트워크 클러스터링)

  • Ad hoc 네트워크에서 클러스터 구성은 채널의 효율적 사용, 제어메시지의 교환부하 감소, 이동성 관리 용이, 그리고 QoS라우팅 지원등의 이점을 지닌다. 이런 이유로 인해 클러스터 구조는 자주 변경되지 않아야 하고, 노드의 이동성을 반영하여 클러스터를 구성하여야 한다. 그러나 기존의 클러스터 구성에 관한 연구에서는 노드의 이동성을 고려하지 않고 있으며, 이동성을 고려하는 경우에는 이동속도만을 고려하여 클러스터를 구성함으로써 클러스터의 잦은 변경을 유발한다. 이에 본 논문은 단위 시간당 클러스터 변경 횟수, 현재 클러스터에 체류한시간, 그리고 평균적으로 클러스터에 체류한 시간을 이용하여 이동성을 고려한다. 또한 라우팅 효율성을 위해, 차수도 고려하여 클러스터를 구성한다. 그리고 클러스터 구성절차의 적절한 수행횟수를 보장하기 위하여 LCC[4]의 수정된 클러스터 구조 유지전략을 제공한다.

Signal Analysis from a Long-Term Bridge Monitoring System in Yongjong Bridge (영종대교 계측시스템의 신호데이터 분석)

  • This paper presents schematically the monitoring system installed in Yongjong Bridge, a self-anchored suspension bridge located in the expressway linking Seoul and Incheon International Airport. Automatic measurement of instrumented civil engineering structures is now widely applied for behavior monitoring during construction in field as well as long-term monitoring for lifetime assessment of bridge structures. A representative example of results that can be acquired through structural health monitoring system is presented by means of data measured during a few years after the opening of the bridge. In order to effectively measure the tension force for hangers that have relatively short length or high tension force, a static tension measurement device has been explored. Newly equipped railway system on the existing bridge results in change of dead load, consequently dynamic characteristics have also been changed. This result can be detected by the monitoring system during and after railway construction.

Preliminary Tests of Mortars Containing Magnetite as Fine Aggregate (자철석 혼입 모르터의 기초물성 연구)

  • In this project a preliminary experimental research work was done to apply mortars containing magnetite as fine aggregates unto floor finishing materials in order to make indoor environment eco-friendly and to have noiseproof control between floors. Crushed magnetites were substituted as sands in the mix design with a range of 0, 20, 40, 60, 100%. First far-infrared radiation tests to determine emissivity and emission power were done in accordance with the KICM test standard and an outstanding result was obtained. Density and compressive strength test results also showed that as the substitution increases, test values increase in a linear trend. However dry shrinkage test results revealed that as the substitution increases, shrinkage strain also increases. To clearly seek a solution about this problem, more experimental works should be done on oncoming experimental program.
