A Study on the Standard and Information System for Urban Transit Maintenance (도시철도 유지보수체계 표준화 및 정보화에 대한 연구)

  • We need to make the standards of maintenance information for urban transit to reduce the cost to maintain the information and to share the information with maintenance workers. It is enable to do systematic maintenance for urban transit by using the information system based on the standardized information. In this paper we propose the major items to standardize and the methods to lay out the standard schemes to enable structured maintenance. We present the 4 items, bill of material, material classification, accident/fault classification, electronic document, to standardize. And we propose how to implement the information system for urban transit based on the standardized information. We describe the implemented information system in two parts; a rolling-stock and an infrastructure part. And also we describe the result of survey to evaluate the system installed at Seoul Metro and Seoul Metropolitan Rapid Transit.

  • GIS(Geographic Information System)를 이용한 응용기술은 철도 선로구축물의 유지보수 분야에서 많이 사용하고 있다. 하지만 실제 철도차량 운행시에 이상 징후가 발생하는 위치를 정확히 파악한다면 유지보수 업무에 도움이 될 것이다. 본 논문에서는 고속열차의 원격모니터링을 위해 철도기본지리정보와 같은 GIS를 활용하는 방법을 소개한다. 철도기본지리정보 GIS에 현재 열차의 주행위치를 현시하고 별도의 그래프를 통해 주행속도, 가속도 등을 현시할 수 있는 기능에 대해 소개한다.

  • The advent of private railroad corporations gave us many changes because of emphasizing on administration's effectiveness. The change has had an effect on safety management too. Most public railway corporations maintain their rolling stocks and facilities by their direct workers on the other hand, private railway corporations depend on outsourcing to cut down the cost of maintenance. But they have almost same safety management system. Therefore we try to study the difference between two type of corporations, especially workers' safety attitude and propose different safety management system depending on direct or indirect workers.

  • Urban transit operation corporations perform repetitive work to investigate the EMU, electric multiple unit, by some fixed maintenance cycle. The quality of maintenance work usually depends on workers' know-how. Though some information to support the maintenance work is digitalized and provided to workers, it is not great help to them because of its non systematic structure. The information includes drawings, manuals, work results, work history, fault history, etc. The maintenance workers want to access the information anytime anywhere, and make an effect to promote the efficiency of maintenance for EMU. But it is difficult to achieve that without some structured information system which is able to use in work area. So we develop maintenance information system for EMU for about 4 years from 2002 to 2005. In this paper we present the configuration and characteristics of this system, and the results of the evaluation test. We install the system in two depots, Changdong and Jichuk, belonged to SeoulMetro to evaluate its efficiency and estimate its economic benefits.

  • 철도차량의 유지보수 분야에서 시간, 인력 등의 낭비요소를 제거하기 위한 효율적인 유지보수 업무를 수행할 수 있는 정보화시스템의 도입이 요구되고 있다. 그러나, 정보화시스템을 구축한 후 잘못된 정보의 입력, 이중 작업 등이 발생하면 또다른 시간적, 인적손실을 발생시킬 수 있다. 이를 방지하기 위하여 차상정보 수집을 위한 시스템에 무선통신기술을 적용하여 기초정보수집에 소요되는 인적, 시간적 손실을 최소화 하고 전동차 검 수고에서 전동차를 검수할 때 작업조회에서 작업결과 등록, 부품신청/조회 등에 무선단말기를 이용함으로써 효율적인 유지보수 작업이 될 수 있도록 한다.

  • Recently, RCM(reliability centered maintenance) process is introduced and applied for the planning and implementing efficient and effective maintenance system in terms of optimal rolling stock maintenance. Particularly, cost-time benefits analysis associated with the implementation of RCM for rolling stock maintenance is necessary and required for railway operator in advance. The RCM process was primarily starting from military, airplane and nuclear industries and is now adapted in railway industry for local railway operators. This paper focuses on suggesting the way of connecting the RCM process with railway maintenance activities in the railway operation field. Thus, in order to introduce and establish reliability activities, it needs to review and evaluate the maintenance environment in the organizational point of view. Based on these reviews and evaluations, various maintenance methodologies are reviewed for customizing local railway field situations and establish specific process in the application of major systems on the reliability technology. In this paper, the railway RCM process is proposed for the establishment and construction of the systematic and optimal maintenance system.

A study on Profile Measurement for Railway Wheels using High Speed Camera and Vision Technology (고속 하이비젼 카메라 기술을 이용한 철도차량 차륜형상 측정에 관한 연구)

  • Maintenance and repair devices used for the inspection of the main parts of domestic railway vehicles have been imported from abroad. Especially, one of the representative domestic devices, the 'Wheel Profile Inspector System (WPIS)', was made by benchmarking foreign devices; this vehicle has been operated in the field. However, problems such as the reliability and performance of the WPIS in operation have appeared. In this study, in order to improve the precision and reliability of the WPIS for maintenance and inspection of railway vehicle wheels, the researchers improved the railway vehicle's WPIS by applying high-speed vision camera technology and an optimized image algorithm. The test results show that the reliability of the developed WPIS improved by approximately 10.4% compared to that of the conventional system.

  • This paper introduces KTX RCM(Reliability-Centered Maintenance) project which is for development of a decision making support system on the KTX maintenance framework. The functionality of the system is composed of ( i ) Fundamental Data Management, ( ⅱ ) Maintenance Goal Management, ( ⅲ ) Maintenance Program Management, ( ⅳ ) Cost-Effect Analysis, ( v ) Parameter Management. This system may improve existing maintenance Management procedure for rolling stock of KNR.

  • The EMU of maintenance technique or system is changing on a large scale. To subway operation beginning the breakdown was born and every that time after the fact repaired. But, recently before the breakdown of the subway occurs, repairs in advance with the preventive maintenance concept which was exchanged. However, the preventive maintenance is to readjust, cleaning, tighten and the oil the repetition by the worker simple experience. This study on introduces the EMU of maintenance method which applies a automatic inspection equipment from the study contributing which develops the preventive maintenance system.

  • 기존 국내 도시철도차량 추진시스템의 주변압기의 경우 권선형의 유입식 변압기가 사용되고 있다. 이러한 입력용 주변압기는 일반적으로 무게가 많이 나가며 전력밀도가 낮다. 또한 기존의 변압기의 경우 오일을 이용하여 절연을 하기 때문에, 정기적인 유지 보수에 따른 비용 발생 및 절연유의 오염에 따라 변압기 수명 단축 및 전력 품질 저하, 전력 손실증가, 전압 강하, 누유에 의한 환경 문제 등 여러 문제를 가지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 권선형 유입식 변압기를 대체하는 반도체 변압기 시스템 모델을 제안하였다.
