초저온 케스케이드 냉동사이클의 중간압력 및 바이패스 유량 최적화 (Optimization of Middle Pressure and Bypass Mass Flow Rate in Cryogenic Refrigeration Cascade Cycle)

  • In this research, cascade liquefaction process was simulated using two-staged direct expansion with inter-cooler. Evaporated gaseous refrigerant which has low pressure and temperature from the inter-cooler is mixed with gaseous refrigerant from outlet of 1st compressor, and flows into 2nd compressor. Therefore this prevents superheating compression. Compressor work of process which includes inter-cooler to all cycles shows the lowest value of 338.68 MW and it is lower 16.34% than that of basic process. Refrigeration capacity shows decreasing tendency as applied inter-cooler and that of process which includes inter-cooler to all cycles shows the lowest value of 449 MW. COP was increased when the inter-cooler was applied, and process which includes inter-cooler to all cycles shows highest value of 1.33. It shows that COP was increased because decrement of compressor work by applying inter-cooler was higher than decrement of refrigeration capacity.

박스형 모델에 의한 슬로싱 하중에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on Rectangular Box Sloshing)

  • This study presents experimental results of sloshing phenomenon done on rectangular box. A simple harmonic excitation was done on the box. Two kinds of filling ratio, 20% and 30% of height, were tested. A total of 15 pressure sensors were installed to monitor the impact pressure. Each test was repeated for 20 times to ensure the repeatability. The high speed camera captured the flaw filed and the corresponding pressure were synchronize with video signal so that the video image can help the interpretation of the impact pressure. The two filling ratio made difference in the flaw characteristic and impact pressure. The use of high speed camera made it possible to understand the bubble generation mechanism. The pressure time histories were presented.

  • This paper presents thermodynamic performance analysis of organic Rankine cycle (ORC) using low temperature heat source in the form of sensible energy and using liquefied natural gas (LNG) as heat sink to recover the cryogenic energy of LNG. LNG is able to condense the working fluid at a very low condensing temperature in a heat exchanger, which leads to an increased power output. Based on the mathematical model, a parametric analysis is conducted to examine the effects of eight different working fluids, the turbine inlet pressure and the condensation temperature on the system performance. The results indicate that the thermodynamic performance of ORC such as net work production or thermal efficiency can be significantly improved by the LNG cold energy.

  • The ammonia-water based power generation cycle utilizing liquefied natural gas (LNG) as its heat sink has attracted much attention, since the ammonia-water cycle has many thermodynamic advantages in conversion of low-grade heat source in the form of sensible energy and LNG has a great cold energy. In this paper, we carry out thermodynamic performance analysis of a combined power generation cycle which is consisted of an ammonia-water regenerative Rankine cycle and LNG power generation cycle. LNG is able to condense the ammonia-water mixture at a very low condensing temperature in a heat exchanger, which leads to an increased power output. Based on the thermodynamic models, the effects of the key parameters such as source temperature, ammonia concentration and turbine inlet pressure on the characteristics of system are throughly investigated. The results show that the thermodynamic performance of the ammonia-water power generation cycle can be improved by the LNG cold energy and there exist an optimum ammonia concentration to reach the maximum system net work production.

  • LNG Carriers are currently known as sole commercial means of shipping natural gas on the sea. They are designed to proven dangerous explosion for shipping a lot of gas over long distance. In this study. In this study, a scaled model chamber was made to investigate ventilation characteristics of the hood room in LNG carrier. Experimental study was performed in model using visualization equipments with laser apparatus and image intensifier CCD camera gated by an AOM controller Twelve different kinds of measuring area were selected as experimental condition. Instant simultaneous velocity vectors at whole field were measured by using 2-D PIV system which software adopts two-frame grey-level cross correlation algorithm. To look into stagnation area of hood room for LNG carrier, a three-dimensional numerical simulation with standard ${\kappa}-{\varepsilon}$ model was carried out by using PHOENICS for three kinds of Reynolds number, $6.5{\times}10^3$, $9.7{\times}10^3\;and\;1.29{\times}10^4$, based on the cavity inlet velocity and cavity height. The flow pattern showed the large scale counter-clockwise forced-vortex rotated at center area, small eddies at each corner and stagnation area located at left-back upper side of model.

LNG 가격과 환율 변동을 고려한 복합헤징 효과 분석 (Analysis on the Hedging Effects of Complex Hedging Considering LNG Price and Exchange Rate Risks)

  • 본 연구에서는 LNG 수입가격과 환율 등 복수의 가격변동 위험이 존재하는 경우 헤징효율성 측면에서 분리헤징과 복합헤징의 비교우위를 실증적으로 분석하였다. 사전적 분석기법을 활용한 실증분석결과에 따르면, 헤징을 하지 않은 경우에 비해 헤징형태에 관계없이 헤징을 통해 조달비용의 평균을 감소시킬 수 있다. 또한 헤징을 통해 표준편차를 감소시킴으로써 보다 안정적인 수익흐름을 확보할 수 있다. 중요한 사실은 분리헤징 형태에 비해 복합헤징 형태로 헤징할 경우 특정 헤징기간에 대해서는 조달비용의 표준편차를 더욱 감소시킬 수 있다는 점이다. 이로써 상품가격과 환율의 위험요소들 사이에 존재하는 분산-공분산 관계를 충분히 활용하는 것이 헤징효과를 향상시키는 데 도움이 될 수 있다는 사실을 확인할 수 있다.

주행모드 및 조건변화에 따른 LPG와 디젤승용차량 배출특성 비교에 관한 연구 (Investigation on the Comparison of Exhaust Emission Characteristics of Passenger Cars using LPG and Diesel Fuel in Variation of Driving Mode and Ambient Conditions)

  • In Korea, sales of passenger cars using diesel and LPG fuels were continuously increased in recent years. From now on 2030, the registrated vehicles will close in about twenty five million in Korea. From these reason, Investigation on the comparison of exhaust emission characteristics of passenger cars using LPG and Diesel fuel in variation of driving mode and ambient conditions were conducted in this study. Exhaust emission characteristics of test vehicles were measured and analyzed by using chassis dynamometer and emission analyzer. Also, test vehicles were selected on the diesel vehicle with 1.7L engine and LPG vehicle with 2.0L engine. In order to study on emission characteristics according to driving cycles, CVS-75, NEDC, US06, SC03, Cold-FTP and HWFET were applied and the test conditions were set up the cases of A/C on and hot start. From these results, it is revealed that the NOx emission of diesel vehicle was higher than that of LPG vehicle and the case of CO emission shows the opposite patterns. In the HC emission, the emission increasing patterns not showed but the NOx emission of diesel vehicle and CO emission of LPG vehicle were showed the variation patterns according to the various driving modes.

실해역 상태를 고려한 LNG 선박의 SLOSHING 해석 (Numerical Sloshing Analysis of LNG Carriers in Irregular Waves)

  • The present study is concerned with the numerical analysis of the sloshing impact pressure of the Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) carriers in rough sea. The reliable predictions of the both random tank motions in irregular waves and violent fluid flow in the LNG tanks are required for practical sloshing analysis procedure of LNG carriers. The three-dimensional numerical model adopting SOLA-VOF scheme is used to predict violent free surface movements of LNG tank in irregular motions. For accurate input motion of tank, a three-dimensional panel method program called SSMP (Samsung Ship Motion Program) is applied for seakeeping analysis. Comparison studies of sloshing analysis are carried out for No.2 tank of 138K and 205K LNG carriers to verify the safety of the LNG containment system of the proposed 205K large LNG carrier.

  • 본 논문에서는 설계자에게 보다 많은 정보를 제공할 수 있는 다목적함수 최적화방법을 이용하여 선박의 주요치수를 최적화하였다. 최적화에서 운항비와 건조비가 경제성에 미치는 영향을 보다 상세히 분석하기 위하여, 건조비와 운항비를 각각의 목적함수로 하여 다목적함수 최적화를 수행하였고, RFR은 종속함수로 계산하여 변화경향을 분석하였다. 최적화를 위한 설계모델로는 운항거리가 비교적 긴 항로에 대하여, 선속이 빠르며 다른 선종에 비하여 건조비가 높은 액화천연가스 운반선을 대상으로 하였다.

  • To improve productivity of the LNG carriers which are growing bigger and bigger, many researches are being carried out by shipyards. In this regard, we reviewed possible problems which could occur during the erection of 216K LNG carrier's motor/compressor room with all outfittings pre-installed. As a first item, the weights of hull and outfittings were precisely estimated to make sure that the erection is carried out within yard's capability. In the next place, deflection and safety of the structure were verified by FEM analysis. As a result, the erection was finished successfully and yard's productivity was also improved. This review is a good example which shows the importance of through study and preparation for improving yard's productivity which is already reached its limit.
